out here. and the woman you see next to the park ranger over to his right, that is someone here from the city's attorney office. most amazingly that this victim that was hit by the tree has nonlife-threatening injuries. the fire department says the man was listening to music when the tree broke and landed on him. he was able to call 911 from his cell phone and direct dispatchers to where he was while he was pinned underneath the tree. what is amazing about that is here in the park there are hundreds if not thousands of trees many of them have downed branches and so after first responders rescued that man, when park rangers came out to further their investigation, they had a difficult time finding the tree branch and the tree that was broken.

the fact that the man was able to direct first responders to him was incredible. sfpd located the victim first and then the fire department arrived afterwards. people who spend time in this park say they will be more california now. >> we do ride our bikes out there. and occasionally, you hear things falling and stuff. so just being up here as long as i have, we know, you know, stay on the path if you can. but we definitely go off the path here, so something that we are going to be looking up and paying attention more to. >> reporter: and again, first responders say they can't share this man's exact injuries due to hipaa, but they do say he has nonlife-threatening injuries and there are investigators here, park rangers and somebody from

comfortable evening on tap. temperature wise, away from the coast. 73 in concord. 63 in oakland. as you get to the coast, a bit of a sea breeze has kicked up. 55 right now for half moon bay. so over the next 12 hours we have mainly clear skies and a few high clouds streaming in from time to time. temperatures from the coast to the bay and inland will drop into the mid and upper 40s overnight tonight. early tomorrow morning may be a little bit of fog developing right along the immediate coastline. i don't think it would be wide spread like it was this morning. it quickly gets out of here. as the sun gets up here it burns off the fog and temperatures responding nicely. temperatures in many spots already into the 60s if not approaching 70s in our inland locations.

a lot of sunshine to start off the new workweek tomorrow. san francisco a bit breezy but comfortable in the afternoon. rain does return to the forecast later on in the week. we will jump ahead and this is thursday 8:30 at night. as we get into friday, i think there is a better bet for all of us across the bay area to see that wet weather move into our neighborhoods. now april is known for showers. generally we do average about an inch to 1.5 inches of rainfall. rainfall estimates with this next storm system to the end of the week, you can see the showers favoring the northern half of the state. as you go through southern
