south central ohio got caught with hail. accuweather's paul williams with the latest. paul, where do you see the most dangerous parts of the system hitting overnight? >> right now, we're looking at mainly hitting along the east coast during the commute. just to give you perspective on this storm, we have 72 mile-per-hour winds in illinois 60-mile-per-hour winds in indiana and arkansas, missouri, 58-mile-per-hour wind gusts and 56 in kentucky. we have right now, active wind advisories from philadelphia, new york, up to boston and down towards d.c. we're looking at winds so serious, check this out, 50 to 60-mile-per-hour winds throughout portions of new york, isolated power outages and overwash. it's all because of this front and because the front is moving so fast so it causes problems with creating. think of it as a static across the carpet. it sparks more energy. so by the afternoon it's going to settle along the east coast
