highway 1 to san francisco, you look great as well. ten minutes for you. we'll check out overnight roadwork coming up next. thanks, alexis. now to our developing news. team coverage this morning on the shooting at youtube headquarters. >> matt keller is live at youtube headquarters with information on the investigation. first, let's get to abc 7 news reporter alyssa harrington at san bruno's police department where she's learning more about the shooter. alyssa? >> good morning. we know that nasim aghdam did not work at youtube or nobody anybody therement but she was angry at the company. she posted a rant criticizing youtube for causing her to lose money. >> only one -- -- [ inaudible ] >> she blamed the company's new ad policy and emd bedded other videos calling it ad pock lips. she was active on youtube.

she posted workout videos and talked about vegan cooking and animal cruelty. her family recently reported her missing when she stopped answering her phone. we learned mountain view police had contact with aghdam hours before the shooting. officers found her sleeping in her car yesterday morning and contacted her family. her brother, who did not want his face on camera told reporters, he warned police she might be going to youtube. >> it was close to the youtube headquarter. she had problem with youtube. we called that cop again and told him that there's a reason she went from san diego to there. >> reporter: aghdam's brother said he did not know she had a gun. they don't -- the san bruno police department will hold a

press conference this morning at 9:00 a.m. reporting live in san bruno, alyssa harrington, abc 7 news. alyssa, thank you. the names of the three victims have not been released. a man is in critical condition, a 32-year-old woman is in serious condition. a 27-year-old woman is in fair condition. >> now for the investigation and how quickly police responded. >> let's get to matt keller live at youtube headquarters. good morning. >> good morning. i just spoke with the police chief and he told me that they wrapped up their forensic investigation inside the youtube building about two hours ago. he says that at le yast for today and maybe for a couple of more days. he says they have the suspecst'. but they have yet to complete a search of it. that's a slow methodical process and no letter or manifesto has been found yet. they're investigating a but she was upset with youtube.

they are looking for access to her online accounts and at her home in southern california. the chief says there's nothing to suggest she obtained the semiautomatic handgun used in the shooting illegally. >> we thought we would encounter somebody with a rifle. but that may have been the only thing that maybe was noticeable to officers. gender really didn't -- i don't think that's even been discussed. i think we just knew there was a threat. we identified the threat and tried to go to it and get to it as fast as we could. >> reporter: as fast as they could was a two-minute response time. they have no link between the suspect and the victims. they're early in the investigation and a lot more has to be dochbne. reporting live, matt keller. abc 7 news. google's ceo released a statement. sundar pichai says i know a lot of you are in shock.

we're going to help everyone in our google family heal from this unimaginable tragedy. >> gabby giffords released a statement. >> she was in the bay area just last month speaking about gun control. her heart goes out to the victims and heroic first responders. she also said, quote, this country has never been more angry about political inaction in the face of gun violence and our demands for a safer future have never been louder. >> there are also questions about security at major tech companies like youtube. former fbi agent and abc news security contributor steve gomez explained overnight how those companies need to protect themselves. >> companies like youtube and facebook and many other companies, they have to think of themselves like a bank in some ways where there is a reason for people to target them for this kind of violence. whether they know somebody there at youtube or it's the company itself that they are targeting because they are right in the middle of controversial issues.

following night as well. nice and quiet so far. no major blocking issues. next traffic update at 5:20. developing news in southern california. four people presumed dead after a marine helicopter crash. >> now there's an investigation into what happened. the crew is on a routine training mission near el centro east of san diego. it happened 2:30 yesterday afternoon. but reports surfaced late last night. the helicopter was based at a third marine aircraft base near mi miles an hour an march. be clarifying that he's not a criminal target right now according to the "washington post." mueller met with the president's lawyers last month to negotiate a possible interview with the president. mueller says he must speak with the president to complete the probe. attorneys representing couples who may have lost their frozen embryos and eggs at a san francisco fertility clinic are demanding answers. they say the company refuses to

answer questions about reports that 2,000 eggs and embryos were compromised. a similar incident happened the same day in cleveland. the victims' attorneys are calling for transparency after one of the storage tanks suffered a malfunction. the clinic says that they can't comment because of pending lawsuits. we have new developments on the housing bill that would allow cities across the state to build higher and denser housing near public transit. san francisco's board of supervisors is now coming out against that bill to vote against sba 27 came yesterday. majority say the bill takes away local control from government. scott wiener authored that bill and calling it a knee-jerk reaction. they're stepping in to try to stop misinformation spread by social media bots. netflix show got hit with a lawsuit. here's a plot twist. here's a plot twist. the irs

hey, mike. you'll be interested in this. new images coming in from houston, texas, after severe storms did major damage overnight. look at this. a hangar collapsed near the airport. high winds knocked it down. our colleagues in houston say winds reached up to 60 miles an hour at the height of the storm. part of the hangar collapsed on to a plane. it was owned by a private jet company. initially, firefighters got there quickly. they thought people were trapped inside. thankfully, that was not the case and no one was hurt. jessica, thank you. california wants to force twitter and facebook to identify automated accounts known as bots. they're blamed for manipulating and spreading fake news. the chronicle reports that they -- they want to make it illegal to with the intent of misleading and not disclosing that the account is not a real person. people would also be able to rornt violations.

a plot to a stranger things fans are not expecting. the show's premise is a ripoff. charlie kessler said he told creators, matt and ross about his film, montauk in 2014, two years before the netflix series premiered. like stranger things, kessler says his sci-fi short dealt with conspiracy theories, secret government projects and the paranormal. no one is responding to the allegations but kessler is suing for compensation. the giants saluted one of their biggest fans before their home opener yesterday. they held a living memorial for late mayor ed lee. all of san francisco's living ex-mayors attended, as well as current mayor mark farrell and lee's widow anita lee. ed lee, who liked wearing an extremely loud orange blazer for the team. he worked for the department of public works before becoming mayor. >> a great tribute. chinatown be station reached

a milestone. >> muni officials announced the end of excavation. no more digging on the project. abc 7 news got this cool look at the project so far. this cavern is 54 feet wide and 42 feet high. crews are waterproofing the tunnel before building the platform. mayor mark farrell got his first look at the work and felt inspired. >> as we have more and more people living in the city of san francisco, more and more people working in the city, on cars, on bikes, on foot, the more we can put traffic underground, the better we'll be. it will be safer for everybody. that's something we want to celebrate. >> muni expects to begin taking paying passengers at the station in december of 2019. plans to extend the subway to north beach and fisherman's wharf are in the works. >> happening today, a san jose city council meeting is going to talk about concerns for dockless bicycles. there's been a surge of shared line bikes and scooters on the streets of downtown san francisco. many complained about renters

bruno. >> the suspect identifies as nasim aghdam. she pulled out a handgun at the headquarters and fired off several rounds. three people were hurt. they're all at san francisco general this morning. san bruno police along with fbi and atf are investigating. we've been able to learn more about nasim aghdam. she posted videos about exercise, veganism and -- >> she had a website that targets youtube for demonetizing videos and hurting her ad revenue. she lived with her parents and husband or boyfriend. she didn't often leave the house they say. >> she did some painting on the house and stuff like that. very nice people. >> her family reported her missing in southern california prior to the shooting. san bruno police and san mateo

sheriff's deputies got there two minutes after the call. >> it was basically over before officers got inside the building. we should find out more when they hold a news conference. >> abc 7 news reporter, matt keller live at headquarters. good morning, matt. >> reporter: good morning. this morning we learned that forensic investigation here inside the youtube building on cherry avenue was completed a few hours ago. although youtube is expected to keep the building closed today if not for a couple more days. i did speak with the police chief of the san bruno police department in the past hour or so. they're still investigating a motive but say nasim aghdam was upset at youtube and its policies. the investigation is going in several directions. to her home in southern california and accessing her accounts. >> we do need access. there's a certain way we examine those. that's going to take some time. -e'r she had had a car here that we're going to be

strong. pput them in the restaurant and gave them towels, band-aids, tried to calm them down. >> a worker at hash's and brews took in one of the wounded. others found safety inside of a carl's jr. off campus. >> the carl's jr., in the side door, we put her in there. grabbed a bunch of napkins, them on her leg. >> a youtube employee told abc news he ran for the nearest exits which turned out to be towards the shooter. a co-worker ran toward him and said she's behind us. they barricaded themselves inside a conference room. the ceo of the company released a message on twitter. here on the large computer. susan wojcicki said there are no words to describe how horrible it was to an active shooter at youtube today.

everything looks great. the slow spot is westbound 580, tracy to dublin. just under an hour. that's the typical volume filling in. dublin to mission boulevard looks great at 15. northbound 85 between 10b 1 and cupertino. you have 15 minutes. >> developing news from sonoma county where police shot and wounded an armed man. neighbors at theex reported the suspect had a gun and was making suicidal threats. >> officers negotiated with that man for more than an hour yesterday afternoon. just before 2:00 p.m. authorities say he appeared to readlo his officers. police say the officers fired at the suspect and injured him. he was taken to the hospital. no officers were hurt. >> we are learning more about what led up to the death of a man in the custody of the sonoma police department. officers were called to the sonoma oaks mobile home park last wednesday after receiving reports of a naked man breaking out streetlights. the man identified as roderick cameron refused to comply with

orders. in order to get him under control, officers tased him three times, handcuffed him and tied a rope around his waist. that's when he stopped breathing. cameron was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. autopsy results have not yet been released. abc 7 news reporter saw needles on b.a.r.t. and went to get answers. how b.a.r.t. is handling a drug

about 68 to 73 in the north bay. while inland east bay, the south bay in the low to mid-70s. heading to -- be comfortable at 70. here's a look at the atmospheric river starting to get a little juicy around the hawaiian islands. that's why this is going to be a pineapple express. it's going to hit the north bay in the afternoon tomorrow and coast with drizzle. the lighter rain will be up north. you'll be driving on wet roads during the evening commute. wake up friday morning and everything is wet with light rain. but then it becomes moderate to heavy at times as we head through friday. that's why by friday evening we're looking at 2/3 of an inch in the south bay to 3/4 in the north bay. it remains moderate to heavy in the overnight hours into saturday morning. 1.25 inches to leer a an inch and 3/4 in -- scattered showers for saturday afternoon into the evening hours.

overall, we have been fairly quiet. we do have a strange incident. we're trying to get to the bottom of this on the southbound 880 off ramp to davis street. calls came in about an hour ago of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. but it's really unclear. does not sound like it's very serious. sounds like that person is okay. that vehicle is having to be towed. possibly a delay on the off ramp. it's not impact the main line the 880. a quick check outside. walnut creek, southbound 680, you're looking good. i think we're pretty spring break light at least today. let's choeck in with mike nicco on the roads. >> hydroplaning is my concern on friday with the storm. trees toppling, river flooding is milo west. the as the commute is getting started, the winds will gust up to 30, 35 miles per hour and they'll be perpendicular to our east-west bridges.
