needs. >> reporter: a community concerned over what could happen next. at this point police tell us that hamilton could be anywhere in the bay area. if you see him, you are urged to call 911. we're live at san jose police headquarters, abc7 news. san francisco police were put on alert because hamilton was known to frequent a homeless camp near bryant and streets. we have heard reports that drop box, lyft and at least one school went on lockdown. san francisco police put out this tweet about an hour ago. there is nothing to reports of an active shooter in the area of 2nd and branson streets. we'll have more later on in the broadcast. we have new diets on the shooting at youtube

headquarters, police say that the woman who shot four people and turned the gun on herself. today officials at zuckerberg san francisco general hospital said the most seriously injured victim is improving. the 36-year-old man has been upgraded to fair condition. the two women wounded in the shooting have been released. we are hearing new stories of heroism from tuesday's attacks. cornel bernard spoke to a uber driver. >> reporter: we're going to hear from that brave uber driver in a moment. but today youtube employees are returning to work today. there was a police car that had been here all day, that police car has left. but this morning, anxiety levels were high once again.

a momentary scare for workers at youtube headquarters thursday morning when a fire alarm was pulled. firefighters responded, they don't know if it was intentional, but it did nothing to calm the nerves of employee san bruno police say security at the campus has been increased. security guards now posted at all entrances and a police car now parked out front. >> several rounds were fired by the suspect during the incident, she did exchange magazines at one point and continued firing. >> reporter: police say aghdam bought the pistol from a gun dealer in january. >> for all intents and purposes, it was all processed legally and within the confines of the law. >> reporter: aghdam took her own life with that gun. this uber driver said a friend

by 2:00 a.m., we'll see light to moderate rainfall with pockets of heavy downpours, indicated by the areas of yellow there. that will start to swing southward and eastward by the middle of the morning commute. it's going to be a wet and challenging morning commute. and by that time the storm will have intensified to a level 2 on our storm impact scale. that's going to be its ranking going into saturday. i'll give you the forecast in a few minutes. crews are bracing for flooding in san francisco's mission district. flood barriers filled with water have been set up near 17thththth folsom streets. >> when it rains very heavily during a very short period of time, the water needs to go somewhere. gravity works and the water needs to find a way, and this neighborhood is almost ground zero for that. >> in preparation, crews will be

picture. an unusual crash created a long backup in contra costa county this morning. you can see a car got lodged under a big rig. look at that. fortunately no one was hurt. it happened before 9:30 this morning, one lane was blocked for about an hour. a woman at the county detention -- patrick morseman has been placed on administrative leave. officials say morseman was arrested 24 hours after these crimes were reported. there was no reports of damage after an earthquake hit southern california this afternoon. the 5.3 earthquake hit about 20 miles southeast of the santa cruz islands. early testing of an earthquake warning system and it worked, and they received a 10-second

they're looking to clarify. the pentagon tells abc news that the military doesn't actually own any land on the u.s.-mexico border. and mexico has responded that they will maintain their sovereignty. pena nieto released a statement directly addressing the president, he said if you have problems with your immigration policy, look to your congress not to mexico. >> and what would it cost to send a few thousand troops? >> we have to look at previous administrations and how they did tis. if you look at bush's deployment of national guard troops, he sent about 6,000 over a 2-year period and that cost about $1.2 billion. under president obama, he sent around 1,200 troops at the peak levels and that was at a cost of about $110 million.
