20-page manifesto saying he hates sfpd. >> an all out search for this guy right now. the police say he could be anywhere in the bay area. >> thanks for joining us. we have team coverage on this story. >> let's begin with melanie woodrow in san francisco tonight. melanie? >> reporter: san francisco police are saying that dustin hamilton could be absolutely anywhere in the city and they say that he is armed and dangerous. according to scanner traffic, 44-year-old dustin hamilton stole guns from his parents home leaving behind a 20-page manifesto saying he hates sfpd and saying he was going to come to 501 delancy street saying

he's going to kill people. a spokesperson told abc7 news san francisco police moved homeless people outside the building earlier this week. >> we are prepared because we have security, so we're not worried about that part, but we're worried that he may have been one of the homeless. >> reporter: leslie nicholls says she saw police presence early tuesday morning. by this afternoon crews were taking these gates down. with san francisco police officers searching for someone or something on the other side. >> i was a little concerned with all the shootings going on right now, yeah. so it's -- i take it as a real threat. >> as far as we're concerned, he could be anywhere in the city. >> reporter: several services including drop box and lyft went offline. police could not confirm whether hamilton was an individual moved

from the area at 501 dlans si earlier this week. but police say he has two outstanding felony warrants. if you see him, call police immediately and do not approach him. >> while this threat started in san jose with a report of several stolen guns from a home on husted avenue. >> chris? >> reporter: every patrol officer in san jose has been told to be on the lookout for hamilton, police say this is a very serious threat and they are not taking any chances. tonight residents in this quiet willow glen neighborhood wait with anticipation out of concern for one of their own. >> it makes me nervous, especially with everything that's going on in the world today. >> reporter: police are looking for this man, 44-year-old dustin hamilton who broke into his

childhood home on tuesday and allegedly stole several of his parents' firearms while they were out of town. but police discovered last night a disturbing letter left by hamilton saying he intended to kill san francisco police officers and people in general. >> we have been working on it since last night. we're warning the public and also asking them for their help. >> as the man hunt continues throughout the bay area, neighbors express their disbelieve. >> i just don't understand it. >> reporter: police tell abc7 news hamilton has two outstanding warrants out of san francisco for assault and vandalism, three additional warrants have since been added for what happened in san jose, including burglary, felony possession of a firearm. sources say hamilton has been homeless for nearly a decade despite the efforts of friends and family to help him. >> i hope this brings him back

around to where he's getting the help he needs. >> reporter: those who know the suspect hoping for a peaceful resolution. >> of course we'll keep you updated on that search for this guy. but now to our other top story. the arrival of a lot of rain in the bay area, the fire department is encouraging people living in the burn zone to keep their cell phones on at all times so they can receive emergency warnings from the national weather service and n sonoma county. flood barriers have been put up in the mission district, this is one of the city's low-lying areas that is prone to flooding, and the rain is expected to washout tomorrow's giants game at at&t park. there's only been five rainouts since the park has opened. as you take a look at live doppler 7, right now it's the light stuff, just upgraded this

storm to a level 3 for tomorrow. want to slow you live doppler 7, with the light rain across the north bay, a lot of this moisture is not reaching the ground in other parts of the bay area. i will show you where it is hitting the ground. we are seeing some light showers, also from santa rosa heading into rone are, erkroner. as this moisture stretches quite a distance, it's going to be about two days and five hours of rain, right now it's right line and about .10 inch or less for most areas. a level 1 becomes a level 3, it's a strong storm tomorrow through saturday morning,do downpours wind gusts 30 to 40 miles an hour. the flood watch starts at 2:00 a.m. for the north bay, 5:00 a.m. for the rest of the area. small streams will overflow

zero. a car ended up sideways today underneath a big rig in martinez. sky 7 was over the crash on highway 4 near interstate 680 around 10:00 this morning. the chp says the crash happened about 40 minutes before that. no injuries were reported. you can see there was a long traffic backup because one lane had to be shut down. the crash was cleared about an hour later, but drivers dealt with delays for much longer. sky 7 in livermore where a plane skidded off the run way at the airport. as you can see the plane wound up on it's nose, there were two people on board, and we do not know if they were hurt. the plane came in for a landing around noon when it ran off the run way. a controversial saudi prince is about to arrive in silicon valley. >> the help he's counting on to turn his country into the next
