neighbors who describe the terrifying officer involved shooting right outside their home. >> startling the level of violence these suspects were demonstrating. >> reporter: a fremont police officer spotted a suspect who was a passenger in a vehicle. after being pulled over, police say the suspect took off in the direction of this arko station where investigators say initial gunshots were filed between the suspects and police. >> my wife and i were both inside of our homes. >> reporter: the chase led into the streets. police say the suspect pulled his gun and fired first. he was wanted on a felony warrant. he had cut off his ankle monitoring device. >> we continue to see violent

suspect who is will do anything it takes to get away from officers. >> reporter: this is the sixth officer involved shooting. three have been fatal. the department justifies its use of force. at least seven officers were involved in this shooting. and all of them will be placed on administrative leave which is standard procedure. in fremont, chris nguyen, abc7 news. new at francisco man was arrested felony animal abuse. a video showed him slapping and punching a chihuahua mix puppy. all of the puppies have since been adopted into new homes.
