click, call or visit a store today. live where you live, this is abc 7 news. a good samaritan is being credited tonight with saving the lives of two people randomly attacked and stabbed at the oakland coliseum. i'm dion lim. >> i'm eric thomas. the attacker was another bart passenger. bart police released this mug shop of the suspect, 32-year-old robert dolph from san francisco. >> it's a knife and it looks like it's a 4 to 5 inch knife male stabbing another male. >> that's him. i have a stab victim. >> reporter: police dispatch radio captured the chaos following a random stabbing at the bart station. a stranger stepped up to stop

it. >> this man that intervened he is a hero, for courageous, had he not intervened, the two victims quite possibly could have been killed. >> reporter: a man in his 50s is in critical condition and his sister, a woman in her 60s is in fair condition. bart police say 32-year-old robert dolph boarded the train at civic center. >> at one point he became fixated on these victims and was saying things directly to them but didn't seem to pertain to them. >> reporter: the victims went through the gate by the station agent and that's when police say robert dolph stabbed them multiple times with a large fixed blade knife. >> reporter: the stabbing was caught on camera. from where i'm standing there are at least 7 station cameras within line of sight. the station agent called for backup and a nearby officer arrived in less than two

minutes. robert dolph is facing attempted murder charges. but did not give a motive. new at 11:00, a man suspected of assaulting a jogger in palo alto is arrested tonight. police say they arrested him at his home in richmond this morning. investigators say the incident happened on march and a man hunt followed. a jogger told police she was attacked on a trail, held at gun point and assaulted. palo alto police say the man has been linked to similar assaults. gun fire rang out sending bystanders ducking for cover. two people were shooting at each other on gearry and baker street. >> they were running. they ducked in between like

company would later work for the trump campaign in the 2016 election. on monday facebook is supposed to start alerting users if their personal information was shared. developing news from syria where the country is reporting a missile attack on an air base in the central part of the country. syrian news reports 8 missiles have been shot down, unknown numbers of casualties. and tonight a pentagon spokesperson says the united states is conducting air strikes against the country. tomorrow the united nations is expected to meet to discuss possibly chemical weapons. a candlelight vigil is held for a canadian team killed. pain from the crash has been

felt far and wide throughout canada and the hockey world. tonight's vigil brought together community members between the community. the crash claimed the lives of 10 young players, two coaches, and the team's broadcasters. 14 others were hurt. >> hopefully we can stand together as a group, a community, a province, as a country, together and get through this. >> a gofundme page for the players and their families has raised more than $4.5 million, a result of more than 60,000 donations. police in the east bay are looking for a gunman who authorities say shot and killed a 23-year-old man in pleasant hill. it's the first homicide in the city since 2012. as cornell bernard tells us it all happened during an apparent robbery involving marijuana. >> i'm shocked. it's not something i like to

happen in my neighborhood. >> reporter: this neighbor stunned to learn about a homicide on her street. police say it happened at this home on norse drive. the victim identified as 23-year-old oshry elor, was shot multiple times. >> the suspect made specific statements during the course of the robbery targeting marijuana. >> reporter: a suspect is still at large. police have few leads. >> we are telling the public there's no risk especially to the residence. >> reporter: neighbors say the house where the shooting happened has been a problem here and a nuisance for more than a year. >> you called the police before? >> yes. >> reporter: this neighborhood who didn't want to go on camera said the police have been called to the home multiple times. >> the constant in and out traffic, i didn't know what was going on, but i knew it had to be some drugs. >> reporter: police won't say how many times they responded to the home. >> the report we receive we do

scoot down city streets. the storm damaged parking lot at stinson beach will stay closed for the foreseeable future. heavy rain on friday night caused the small creek that runs through and underneath the parking lot to flood. it washed away 40 parking spots. the damage is extensive and the park service says they need to assess the situation and come back with a plan to rebuild. muir woods reopened today after it was closed saturday. parts of the monuments were closed saturday in the storms. most of the flooding subsided sunday morning allowing the park service to reopen the arandi kaye. six months ago the devastating north bay wildfires broke out. >> among the dead a world war ii

difficult. >> reporter: as they continued to grieve the loss of their parents, the family was rtroubld with one nagging loose end. >> trying to close the at&t. >> they got a bill for at&t internet and tv. she told at&t her mom and dad had died in the fire. >> i needed the death certificate and appear in person with the at&t store with the bill. >> reporter: it took hours but a clerk said the account and charges were cancelled. >> i believed her. the next month i got another bill. >> reporter: this time at&t charged her parents $194 for service in november, long after the couple had died. the bill also demanded the october payment, plus a late fee. she spent another two hours at the at&t store. >> at the end she said it's all closed out, no problem. in december we got another bill.

>> reporter: again, at&t cancelled the charges, but when january came around, so did yet another bill. >> i couldn't even think about it. i couldn't believe i had another bill in my hand. people told me you should call michael finny. >> she contacted 7 on your side and we contacted at&t. >> 35 minutes later, i got a phone call on my cell phone. >> the company zeroed out the account immediately tell lg us, unfortunately we made mistakes handling the account and we couldn't be more sorry. while we made the correction some time ago and have apologized to the family, we're working to make sure situations like this don't happen again. now she's hoping her parents can rest in pieeace. >> i hope they are enjoying heaven. >> they would have celebrated 76 years of marriage on march 20th and their children say they would be happy to know someone took care of that last loose end
