facebook data has been involved in the cambridge analytical breach. >> janine is live at menlo park. >> a lot of people are wondering if their information was improperly shared by facebook because of this privacy leak. today users will find out if they're affected. if you are affected, you're going to get a detailed message in your news feed. this all comes as fake book has sub spended san francisco firm cube you after allegations it was misleading users. data being collected through personality quizzes and users were told it was for academic research. cnbc claims it was sharing information with markers. they came under fire when cambridge analytical was accused of collecting information of up to 87 million fook users.

facebook says most of the affected users are in the u.s. everyone who uses facebook would get a notice titled protecting your information with a link to see what apps you use and what information is being shared on those apps. live from menlo park, janine del vega, nbc news. this morning youtube is being accused of illegally collecting data from its youngers users. claims that the company is profiting off young viewers by collecting their data and targeting ads for them. the platform is wildly popular among children of all ages. youtube says protecting kids and children has been a top priority for us. we will evaluate if there are things we can do to approve. pleasantville police are investigating the city's first

homicide in six years. the crime happened during an apparent robbery involving marijuana. abc 7 reporter cornell bernard has the story. >> i'm shocked. >> reporter: the neighbor stunned to learn about a homicide on her own street. police say it happened at this home on norse drive. the victim identified as 23-year-old oshry elor was shot multiple times. >> the suspect made specific statements during the course of the robbery targeting marijuana. >> reporter: elor died at the scene. the suspect is stillality large. >> right now we're telling the public there is no inherent risk especially to the residents. >> did you hear gunshots? >> i heard one. >> reporter: neighbors say the house where the shooting iscear. has bn a a >> you've called police about this home before? >> yes. >> reporter: this neighbor says police have been called to the home multiple times. >> the constant in-and-out traffic. i didn't know what was going on,

but i knew it had to be some drugs. >> reporter: police won't say how many times they've responded to the home. >> i can tell you any report we receive from any citizen, from our community or any neighborhood, we do follow up with. >> reporter: a man at the home had no comment and asked us to leave. in pleasant hill, cornell bernard, abc news. al din smith has been arrested for the third time in two months. smith was booked friday into san francisco county jail for violating a condition of his electronic monitoring while on bail. his new bail is set at $500,000. smith is due back in court on wednesday afternoon. he has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and other charges. a new bill will be introduced requiring doctors placed on probation to notify patients. it's called the patient's right to know act. each year the licenses of more than 100 doctors are revoked or surrendered as a result of disciplinary action.

light breezes if you're on the ferry. mass transit cool this morning but warm this afternoon. check out the temperature spread on the peninsula. we go from 53 at 8:00, 67 at noon. by 2:00 in the mid 70s. upper 70s at 4:00. back to 76 at 6:00. how about inland east bay neighborhoods, 54 at 8:00, 70 at noon, near 80 at 4:00 and still 70 at 8:00. now, look at the temperatures today and compare them to tomorrow and wednesday. 10 to 15 degrees cooler. the reason why? a little hint. let me spell it out a little better. we have a slight chance of rain tuesday. a better chance wednesday and a slight chance on thursday. even though it's a three-day event, look at those percentages, 20, 70, 40. this is definitely not an atmospheric river, but it will challenge the commute once again. i'll gave you achb hour-by-hour look at that. are you seeing anything

future. heavy rain friday night caused the creek that runs through and underneath the parking lot to flood. it destroyed protective structures around it and washed away 40 parking spots. the park service says they'll need to assess the situation and come back with a plan to rebuild. muir woods is opening this morning. it was closed saturday after the drenching caused flooding there. rangers said it was too dangerous for visitors. most of the flooding subsided yesterday morning allowing the park service to reopen the attraction to visitors once again. >> a lot of us experiencing that inrah. you're never more than seven minutes away from your accuweather forecast. >> can't keep up with mowing the lawn. all that rain, everything is sprouting so quickly. that's a good thing to have. >> i wish i had a lawn. must be nice. >> at times it is. let's take a look at what's going on. a couple months from now when it's half dead because of the drought. here is a look at san rafael.

no fog to contend with, no rains. chances of rain tuesday and wednesday. up and down highs all week. two very weak systems out in the pacific. it looks like an atmospheric storm, doesn't it, atmospheric river, that moisture going all the way down to hawaii. you can see it taking that right-hand turn and heading to so cal. we'll get high clouds out of that. we're not tapping into that moisture whatsoever with the storm: 70 in santa cruz. 78 to 80 across the south bay. 73 to 77 on the peninsula. look at these upper 60s as the warmth tries to reach the coast. low 70s in downtown and south san francisco. sausalito near 70. 75 to 78 through most of the north bay. you get cloverdale northward. oakland 72, fremont 75. as we head inland we'll flirt with 80 just about everywhere today.

going to the game this evening, the diamondbacks are in town to take on our giants. 63 at 7:15, dropping to 59. temperatures down in the low to mid 50s for most of us. a few upper 40s around half moon bay and up in santa rosa. storms are one tuesday and wednesday. look how much cooler, 15 to 20 degrees cooler by thursday. we'll rebound friday and saturday. here's sue. >> an accident approaching the bay bridge toll plaza. it's in the right-hand hov lane -- car pool lane. it's involving a minivan and a car. you can see a little traffic stacked up in the cash lanes. back from walnut creek we have an accident near the 24 interchange in three lanes of traffic. looks like a minivan there as well. some sort of white delivery van blocking a couple of lanes. for a time they had all traffic stopped. we'll take a look at mans and the road sensors there.

it does look slow as you approach southbound 680 and highway 24, you can see the red sensors. we'll zoom in and take a look. you can take in north main to get around that and get back on just before the 24 junction. a little slow-and-go through walnut creek. we'll check back in a few minutes. 4:48 now. yes, gas is going up. the national average price of regular grade gas has gone up eight cents over the last two weeks, it's now $2.74. that's 30 cents higher than this time last year. analysts say the cause is rising crude oil prices. according to aaa the cost of a gallon of regular in the bay area is higher than the national average. in oakland, $3.53, san jose, $3.55, and san francisco is $3.64. elon musk revealing a major test coming up. instagram is cracking down on hashtags with drug names.
