screaming. >> reporter: police say he boarded the train at civic center and became fix sated on a brother and sister. when they exited. bart police say he stabbed them multiple times with a large knife. >> i didn't think i just reacted. >> david was the first of several passengers to jump in. >> i grabbed him and the wrist. got the knife away and took him to the ground. >> in the process sustaining cuts to his hands. police rooifed in less than two minutes. bart police are crediting harris with preventing a homicide. >> first responders people do it every day. and don't get acknowledged. those are heros. >> the woman in her 60s has been released from the hospital. her brother in his 50s remains in critical but stable condition. harris says he was attacked and stabbed in his 30s. in a hall way of the building where he lived. >> it was lined with people watching and no one did anything. it wasn't a good feeling.

>> he's facing at the same timed murder charges. he didn't give a motive. it was caught on bart surveillance video. police are not releasing the footage because of the open investigation. a civil rights attorney says two female inmates at a richmond jail were raped by a jail guard. it was not consensual as the sheriff office claims. on thursday the sheriff office said deputy faces charges for allegedly having consensual sex with two inmates. and attorney for the inmates claiming they were threatened with more jail time and forced into sex acts. against their will. the sheriff office has no comment. he's currently out on $100,000 bail. >> san francisco police arrested ten people in connection with with as many as 60 burglaries in the city. police say they stole close to $3 million in money, credit cards and jewelry.

we sped up the surveillance video. it shows a homeowner opening her garage not knowing there were burglars inside. police identified 20 other suspects in investigators are working to track them down. >> we learn today there's no evidence of foul play in the death of a global engineer found in a drainage ditch. last december. though her death is a mystery. autopsy shows 23 year-old drowned in the bay. but the manner of her death is officially listed as undetermined. the autopsy report says a day before her body was found, she made a disoriented 911 call about going into the water. the daily post reports police believe her death was an accident than suicide. >> i team learned a five year legal battle involving a san francisco firefighter accused of driving drunk on the job is finally over. on friday, former firefighter michael kwin reached a plea

agreement on a misdemeanor account of delaying or obstructioning arrest. he received two years probation. he drove a fire truck through a red light. and hit a motorcyclist. prosecutors dropped dui charges after the judge threw out the blood evidence. the i team reported at the time that he was seen on surveillance video chugging water after the crash. he left the scene and disappeared for two hours before arriving back at the station house. >> a woman from southern california is in critical condition tonight. after her car plunged down a cliff. the chp captured the rescue on camera. on saturday witnesses report a car had driven off the cliff at highway 1. responders found a 56 year-old woman and her dog live. on the beach. they were able to haul the woman up the side of the cliff. as you can see here she's from the valley. north of palm springs. the fire was among three agencies that responded. >> the recent storm left a huge

tenth to half inch for most of you. it will get winty especially into wednesday afternoon and evening. hour by hour. tomorrow morning 7:00 a.m. you'll notice showers up around. most of you will be dry for the morning commute. around 10:30 in the morning pretty light stuff. going through the central portion of the bay at noon. there could be pockets of moderate showers indicated in yellow. 1:30 east bay. south bay heading towards santa cruz. this passes through quickly. narrow bands of showers. by 6:30 a few trailing showers remain in the south bay. and it's done. the seconds wave that will bring rain. wednesday afternoon 3:00. the rain is up to the north. into the evening commute to the north bay. getting wet with light to moderate rain. at 7:00 p.m. this is shifting into the east bay. san francisco and the peninsula. on wednesday and by 8:30. widespread rain across td area.
