a two alarm fire that has broken out in an apartment complex. fire is burning along flanagan drive and to put this in perspective, it is near highway 101 and tully road. this is an area where there are still lots of vehicles on the ground in the parking lot. firefighters do say this fire broke out just before 5:30. we will keep you posted on new developments. and an international hoax targeted schools in the bay area and around the country. several school districts reported receiving e-mail threats of unspecified violence. 40 districts received the e-mails. all were affected. emery unified canceled classes and an increase police presence

we are hearing tonight from a good samaritan who jumped in and grabbed a knife from a man at the b.a.r.t. station. >> reporter: david harris, he is the good samaritan and he describes the knife as a large survival knife, maybe 9 inches long. i asked him what he thought when he saw that brutal attack. he said i didn't think just reacted. >> reporter: one of several passengers who helped a brother and sister as they were being

stabbed. >> i looked to my left and between the agent's booth and the wall, i saw a woman getting stabbed. >> basically, there was blood everywhere. and you know, the lady who was stabbed was screaming. >> i got the knife away from him and took him to the ground. >> reporter: he said b.a.r.t. police arrived in less than two minutes. crediting harris and others from preventing a homicide. >> first responders, those are heroes. >> reporter: a woman in her 60s has been released from the hospital. her body in his 50s remains in the hospital in critical condition. harris said he was attacked and stabbed in his 30s in the hallway where he lived.

>> people were watching and nobody did anything. >> i will keep riding b.a.r.t. you can't live in fear. you got to keep going. >> reporter: the attack was caught on b.a.r.t. surveillance video. but police not releasing that video yet. new legislation proposed in the state assembly would make it tougher to get a concealed concd weapon permit in the state of california. the proposed legislation would require applicants receive a minimum of eight hours of training. and pass a test. >> why cannot we ask that for carrying a gun in public. >> firearm rights

oppose that bill. th >> the measure has passed two committees and heading to the assembly. yosemite national park cleaning up. the park shut down friday afternoon for safety and now that water levels are down, park employees are looking into what was affected. >> we had impacts to the electrical systems and the waste water system. if those impacts were damaged or what a cost were spending the next few days looking at them. >> the park is fully open even as cleanup continues. >> and while weather impact can be seen immediately, it sometimes takes time to find out

from .10 to .50 of an inch of of rain. notice rain developing up north will probably not impact the morning commute. moving out of the bare area to mid to late afternoon. may not have an impact on the evening commute. highs tomorrow will be mainly in the low to mid-60s and then our second round of rain comes in late wednesday. wednesday evening around 7:00 or so. wide spread rain steadier and heavier. so, here is the accuweather seven-day forecast. three days of storminess will rank one on the storm impact scale. storm is light intensity and partial clearing late thursday. the main event of clearing comes in on friday and saturday.
