the oregon trail. >> this flier posted on social media shows the thought a pilly family of valencia. driving back from a spring break road trip to portland but failed to show up in the bay area for a scheduled stop friday. relatives became concerned when they couldn't reach the family and called san jose police to file a missing person's report. the family of four including two children ages 9 and 12 was traveling in a maroon honda pilot. investigators are looking into the possibility that the family's vehicle may have plunged into the river off 101 in mendocino county. friday afternoon, a witness called chp to report that he saw a vehicle go down a steep embankment. that vehicle description is similar to the one that the thought a pilly's were traveling in. but investigators can't say for certain if they're the same. >> something substantial like a serial number or license plate it's hard to say that this is definitelyively the same vehicle. >> due to heavy rain crews
