here on the highways. it happened twice in matter of hours on two separate highways. about 7 miles aa part in contra costa county. the first shooting came at 9:45 wednesday night on interstate 680 near treat boulevard after two drivers got into an altercation on the freeway. >> the vehicle first threw bottles and then the victim's rear window shatter. and he initially thought ds a bottle. about 11:00 at night he discovered a bullet fragment thement in the vehicle. >> a short time later there was another shooting destine on the north china incident triggered by road rage. ben again no one was hurt. >> karen is a contra costa supervisor whose district includes parts of both highway 4 and interstate 680. thanks to local funding from the city of pittsburg and money from the state, a stretch of highway does now have karms.

completion projects. here is lyanne melendez. >> reporter: let's start out with what you will soon see at the transbay transit skrernt at early as this summer. when the ma'am ought project will be completed. think buses for a moment. immuny muses golden gate transit sam transand greyhound buses deliver and pick up thousand of people. full disclosure, today at the transbay joined power authority bay area meeting we found out phase one was supposed to be done december of last year. and because it wasn't, an additional $2.5 million will be spent to oversee the kpreegs. >> a year six months to close out the contract. and six months to address any potential claims that we have with the contractor. >> reporter: then phase two. you know, the tount rail extension tumble, 1.3 miles long, taking caltrains and high-speed rail all the way to the transpay bay transint center. completion date. >> as early as 2029. >> wait say that again. >> as early as 2029.

>> reporter: here is what needs to happen to meet the deadline. what has yet to be decided is the route caltrain and high-speed rail will take once they enter san francisco. the mission bay alignment or the pennsylvania street alignment. >> the mission bay alignment would go past the warriors arena and at&t park onto second street and ending up at the transit center. the pennsylvania avenue alignment would go past the hill neighborhood, past china basin and the existing fourth and king train yard. making a left on second street and finally to the transit center. the selection will depend on the cost of each alignment. in the end it will be city hall and supervisors who decide which with will better serve san francisco. lyanne melendez, abc 7 news. and on top of that the california high-speed rail from san francisco to bakersfield is also scheduled to be completed by 2029. all right. thanks for joining us for abc 7
