people in hawaii are dealing with flooding after nearly 27 inches fell on the island in a 24-hour period. water overflowed from rushing creeks and roads on hawaii's north shore. the governor has called for emergency help. severe weather grounded helicopters trying to reach them. so far no one has been hurt. the red cross has opened shelters. it may be april 15th but snow is coming down in the sierra. looking at i-80 you can see the cars driving through a fresh coat of snow on the road. enjoy the snow while you can before you get to your taxes. here's drew. >> we're tracking the snow in the sierra. winter weather advisory in effect there. we still have some scattered showers to deal with.

live doppler 7 tracking the showers. we zoom close along the peninsula, a couple cells will be moving on shore close to south san francisco and along the peninsula over the next hour or so. we continue to track the snow in the sierra, the flakes are flying around tahoe, could see 6 to 12 inches of snow the next 12 hours. so a good late season storm up there. the bigger picture, that cold front brought in much cooler air to finish off the weekend. today we were stuck in the 50s and 60s. it's 12 degrees cooler in concord than yesterday. 5 degrees cooler in santa rosa. look at the north bay, 30s and 40s. 33 in napa. 50 in san francisco. 53 in santa rosa. over the next 12 hours we'll have the scattered showers
