58 degrees. >> all right. we'll see what's going on in traffic. here is aexz. >> this hour construction is our biggest issue. 880 pretty heavy. all lanes blocked between 29th and 23rd until 5:00. supposed to get that done a moment ago. not sure if those lanes are open yet but i do know we have a two-mile back-up, maybe longer than that now. if you are about to leave i would use international important 580 for alternate. a stackup in the cash lanes on the left side of the toll plaza everyone moving fine. take a look at rollover crash in san leand san leandro coming up next. tesla putting brakes on model 3. it was planned. >> the factory at fremont with more on that and potential impact on workers. elisa. >> this production halt should only last about a week but certainly has a lot of people asking questions about tesla.

the company was running behind on production of model 3s. the goal toys make 5,000 a week but the company is averaging 2,000 a week. prospective model 3 owners are told by dealerships they would have to buy the car without a test-drive. tesla explains what they are doing in downtime like this is common in production ramps. tim higgins, a tech and auto reporter for "the wall street journal" disagree. >> the inability to show they can make model 3 at mass the other continuing, the issue of safety at autopilot. tesla would say it's safe but it's under investigation by safety investigators because of the crash near mountain view. >> last month 38-year-old walter wang died in a fiery tesla crash on highway 101. he was using autopilot at the time. buzzfeed article says this pause came without warning and employees are asked to use vacation days or stay home

without work but tesla says this was planned. reporting live in fremont, elisa harrington, abc 7 news. from the live desk james comey's memoir "a higher loyalty" is out today. this morning comey sat down with abc news anchor gorge steph november lsu for a live interview since he was fired by trump. here is what he said in the last half hour. we just got this into our live desk, when he was asked about the president's tweets. take a listen. >> a lot of reaction from all sides, including a tweet storm from president trump. i want to focus in on two of the president's tweets. they are the most serious. the president says not only should you have been fired but leaked classified information, lied to congress under oath. for both of those infractions he said you should go to jail. >> that is not normal, that is not okay. first of all, he's making stuff

role reducing the threat by changing the password on your router. >> san francisco's bay taskrabbit investigating a cyber security. he took down his website and put up a notice telling customers he's looking into the incident. they aren't saying who was affected or how much was lost. users are told to change their password and any account where you may have the same password. >> former youtube employees say the company received threats from volatile creators for years. the bloody rampage on the san bruno campus was unprecedented but not totally unexpected. former employees say threats are delivered through e-mail but have been incidents in person. one employee station add guard outside her house after threats from a man whose account has been suspended. abc news found dick's sporting goods will destroy assault rifles after its decision to stop selling.

dick's says it will destroy them in accordance with guidelines. waymo after autonomous cars hit and killed a person. waymo stepping up for a permit without a driver. it does require remote operator during testing. it let's operator give instructions to autonomous vehicle that then carries out orders. we rode along with unlike waymo's technology, if something goes wrong actually people operating remotely will take over. they have consoles like a video game that include steering wheel, pedals, gearshift. company says since managers are overseeing what they are doing there's less chance of distraction.

we're mostly clear right now in san jose. temperatures there running in the 40s to low 50s. sunny and dry today. still cooler. that's my first accuweather highlight. for tonight the clouds return not quite as chilly as this morning. still a lot of 40s out there and one more storm before the weekend warmth. a look at today's temperatures, pretty much 60 to 65 in most areas. then you get to the coast in san francisco, upper 50s here. let's jump ahead to noon tomorrow. you can see thick cloud cover over all of us, white and gray there. showers moving into north bay about 4:00. so it's the evening commute in the north bay that's going to be wet. even moderate showers you can see there in the yellows and oranges. ever so slight chance of thundersto thunderstorm. so small. hardly one to talk about. yesterday you're probably wondering. the heaviest through the heart of the bay, over by 11:00. some scattered showers. by 4:00 thursday morning, pretty much gone.

abc 7 reporter amy hollyfield live. >> reporter: we are thinking companies have cleared these scooters out of the city. this the only one we could find when before it felt like they were every 5, 10 feet in the city. starting today one company said it's going to require users to take a picture of the electric scooter to show it has been parked correctly. this is legislation pending before the board of supervisors to require permits for these scooters. people have complained they are left behind by users blocking sidewalks and causing people have to have stumble around them. the city will take up that legislation today. >> anybody who has walked around the city, particularly northeast corner i represent where millions use the sidewalks every day will see they have become an attractive nuisance. families are having to dodge them. they are not using them under a

way on naacp street. this incident is a reminder to take precautions. i have them give me my name. if they don't know my name, obviously they aren't pick meeting up. they have recovered a family swept away by eel river. they were heading home after a trip to organizatiegon. they were supposed to make a stop in san jose about a week and a half ago but their car went into a flooded river. search crews had located the bodies of the parents and their daughter. the body of the son was found yesterday. chp is still investigating the cause of the crash. taxing gun owners to pay for security at california schools. that's the idea sacramento lawmakers are now debating. the proposal includes a tax on
