recognize we can't fix every concern overnight. but as a bay area company, we want to be lasting partners with the city and county of san francisco. so while they may not make the change overnight, it looks like the city and the county definitely want the changes to come quickly. live in san francisco, i'm jessica castro, abc 7 news. developing news this morning, the faa has confirmed to abc news it will order orderr changes following the southwest airlines explosion. >> a source tells abc news this week's deadly incident is similar to a 2016 incident involving southwest airlines and an engine failure. in both cases metal fatigue appears to have led to a blade breaking and being ejected forward out of the engine. >> southwest airlines released a statement on behalf of the crew of flight 1380. it reads in part, our hearts are heavy. on be havel of the entire crew, we appreciate the outpouring of support from the public and our

co-workers as we reflect on one family's profound loss. a delta air lines flight from atlanta to london heathrow was forced to return after smoke was seen coming from the engine. it was doused with foam moments after it landed. the airbus jet was toed back to the concourse where passengers were let off. no one was hurt and the passengers were put on other flights. let's get a quick update on weather and traffic starting with meteorologist mike nicco. >> we'll start with the winds out there because there really aren't in. temperatures are definitely cooler this morning, don't have to deal with any windchill. let's take a look at the temperatures at 7:00. upper 30s to mid 40s by noon. it will be breezy, definitely warmer and brighter than noon yt. 55 at the coast where the breezes will be a mainstay today. around the bay, mid to upper 60s. grab a like jacket.

customs. his plane landed at sfo tuesday night. >> 8:25 his flight arrived. he didn't come out. two hours later he didn't come out. >> reporter: aba has been refused entry to the united states. >> he sounded tired and exhausted and kind of worn out. he said they kept telling him he has no business on u.s. soil which is confusing because he was granted a u.s. visa. >> reporter: a source says there was an issue with the visa. aba's supporters aren't buying it and are disheartened that at least for now he won't be able to find out about the crisis unfolding from him directly. >> we want to hear from people who have experienced this, experiencing human rights abuses happening in rural areas. >> reporter: supporters say they'll be finding for aba's entry into the u.s.

b.a.r.t. police looking for a man captured on cell phone video performing lewd acts. a rider says he propositioned her and touched himself last week. last seen leaving the train at the daly city b.a.r.t. station. the sf gate reporting that charl charley hall well will no longer own boot and shoe service. he was accused of sexual harassment late last year. he acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate and is taking a leave of absence. former playboy model karen mcdougal has been freed from the tabloid company that prevented her from talking about her relationship with donald trump. she claimed she was misled into

signing the contract for her story in exchange for $150,000. mcdougal claims she and president trump had a ten-month affair that started in 2006 shortly after melania to barron. dan noise reports lawyers were going through depre at the warehouse looking at the fire's cause and origin. the fire in december of 2016 killed 36 people. the two men charged in the fire are due in court tomorrow for a hearing to reduce their bail. coming up tonight at 11:00, dan will have an exclusive interview with almena's wife wife 400 members of the california national guard are at the border with mexico. governor brown's office announced the mobilization president trump's plan to secure troops at the border as part of

east bay valleys, sunshine. up in the north bay we've got 43 this morning at 8:00. 63 at noon. around 70 degrees as we head into the 4:00 hour and dropping back to about 59 by 8:00. we're going to give you a sneak peek of what's coming our way. look at those temperatures. even san francisco near 70 on saturday. a lot of 80s holding on on sunday. also, will it spill into next week. so we dodged a big traffic potential nightmare with the rain staying offshore. pretty dry out there. what have you got? >> not too bad. i think that was a picture of me gardening. i might as well run my bike right over it. none of it survives. i have a black thumb. we're doing great on the roads this morning. i don't think there's any help for me. moving into where we had overnight road work on 880, southbound between 23rd and 29th

relief for drivers in san jose. the city is getting part of the city's gas tax funding to fix potholes. $87.5 million allocated for repairs over the next two year. transportation officials plan to seal or resurface dozens of roads. >> know that there are many ways it costs motorists. this is much easier than each motorist paying for it out of their wallets. >> next week they'll move to rogers road in north san jose. the city council has approved a list of streets for repair next year. our bureau in san jose is on old bayshore. i was riding on that road and they fixed it, and it's a smooth ride now. my car appreciates it. i appreciate it. no more headaches driving in. >> bank account appreciates it.

you're never more than seven minutes away from my accuweather forecast. thinking about the beach, thinking about saturday. it's going to be the warmest day. ocean beach will be about 69. so the warmest anywhere around the bay. if you head down to santa cruz, that's where you'll find the warmest weather, 74. on the other side of the monterey bay about 66. the rest of us will be in the 70s and 80s. not the warmest day ever at the beach but the warmest one we have moving forward. let's get a check of the morning commute. >> back at the bay bridge toll plaza we had a stackup in the fast track lanes a few moments ago. there was a two-vehicle non-injury collision just beyond the toll plaza. they were able to clear that. if you look on the right in the parking lot, you can see the flashing lights. pretty minor. a stackup in the crash lanes but no metering lights. they didn't have to turn those on early. drive times looking good.
