4-year-old girl. >> he previously violated the school policy by contacting a fifth grade girl on social media. >> our reporter is live in martinez with the story. laura. >> reporter: well this teacher andrew lund sits here in the contra costa ktd jail his bail increased in the last hour to $3 million. in the meantime we still have not received a response from the vallejo school district about new information that they knew months about ago about the teacher he is tendency to reach out to young girls on social media. >> every teacher, every employee of the school district is a mandated report reporter. >> one day after vallejo teacher andrew lund was arrested for soliciting sex from a minor and child pornography charges new information reveals administrators added glen cove reprimanded him for inappropriate social media contact with a fifth grader last sner. >> we did become aware of an

incident at that school that was reported to school officials in august. >> any time there is even even of inappropriate contact or inappropriate relationship, the district has an immediate obligation to act. >> according to a search warrant written by investigators, lund said they began to kmat on a social media platform with a student at glenn cove elementary in the summer of 2017. in which the girl was between fourth and fifth grade. lund said he asked the girl if she missed him. lund told us the parents of the girl reported the incident to the school and was written up for it. but the district told lund the letter would not be placed in his personal file unless he failed to comply with the school's instructions not to engage students on social media. on thursday lund was arrested at his vallejo home on multiple felony charges related to more recent alleged activity on social media with an undercover

officer. he thought it was a 14-year-old girl. >> he began to ask her questions related to sexual activity. and then sent her some actual harmful images. >> in a facebook post the superintendent dr. adam checkmark said quote to our knowledge there are no district students involved in the investigation. in martinez laura anthony abc 7 news. milpitas police need help. they released these photos in the hopes someone will recognize this guy. officers say he exposed himself at the milpitas community library near the international language area last friday afternoon just after 4:00 p.m. police describe him as a man in his 40s. 170 pounds, 5'10", balanceding agency you can see and wearing glasses. call milpitas police if you have any information on this man. a freshman at california high school in san ramon is under arrest after allegedly planning to harm his calamities. abc 7 news has learned that a

cal high freshman student asked another to help plan a school shooting for the senior knee in 2010 willie 21 sarah cranford sec the student immediately reported this. they called police and determined the male student had a plan to harm other students. in a letter to parents she wrote, quote, the district considers this offense to be extremely serious and will take appropriate disciplinary consequences as per california education code. the student was arrested and booked into juvenile hall. quite a few ambulances have been called to golden gate park for people apparently celebrated too much at today's 4/20 event. the key moment as a short time ago a lot of people lighting up at the same time. police are out in full force looking for drivers who may be impaired. and you can see in the live picture from sky seven that though the event is winding down there are a lot of people lingering there. let's go to the reporter on the

across the nation walked outlet of class today in another protest against gun violenc in school. sky 7 was over this high school in alameda where students gathered together around 12:30 today during lunch. today's protest was meant to coincide with the massacre at columbine high school in colorado, 19 years ago today. another march in san francisco wound its way to justin hermann plaszcz at the embarcadero. students there held a closing rally calling for an end to gun violence and a safer school environment in the city. in marin county nearly 100 students staged a walkout and march to mill valley. >> and many propzed to make voices heard at the ballot box in the furtd. >> the students began streaming out of the high school at 10:00 a.m. the crowd marched down miller avenue finally arriving at the depot in mill valley where students took the stage. >> our fellow americans made it clear that nobody is coming to save us. not the adults, more the elected officials because the cavalry isn't coming this time.

i we worked with pg&eof to save energy because wenie. wanted to help the school. they would put these signs on the door to let the teacher know you didn't cut off the light. the teachers, they would call us the energy patrol. so they would be like, here they come, turn off your lights! those three young ladies were teaching the whole school about energy efficiency. we actually saved $50,000. and that's just one school, two semesters, three girls. together, we're building a better california.
