a suspected cereal killer and rapist on the run for decades has been caught. . >> sacramento prosecutors confirmed that investigators used a jeanology website to help track down one of the country's most feared serial killers. >> tonight he's on suicide watch scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow afternoon on two counts of murder. he's suspected of at least ten more murders and upwards of 50 rapes from 1976 to 1987. >> in connection with the deaths of two victims in their home in 1980. police searched the home today for possible murder weapons as well as tringest the accused golden state killer may have stolen from his victims.

state killer we've posted the entire interview with him on our website, including how a woman in the killer's past may have helped crack this case. >> we're learning more about the life of a man suspected of being the golden state killer and the east area rapist. the campus newspaper reports he transferred to sacramento state from a community college in 1971. deangelo served in the navy before attending college. after college he worked as a police officer during the 1970s. first in exiter and then in auburn. he was fired by auburn police after a shoplifting arrest in 1969. he retired last year after spending 27 years working as a mechanic in roseville. they say they're cooperating with prosecutors handling the case against di anglo. the super market chain released a statement saying -- none of

his actions in the workplace would have led us to any suspicion of kriemts being attributed to him." >> detectives found him through family dna. tonight we spoke with a dna expert who says the public should think long and hard before completing at home dna testing kit. >> when you provide them with a sample, they have all your dna. >> she specializes in dna cases. she says people should be cautious of at-home jeanology testing services. she said they've become popular selling millions of dna testing kits. >> i don't think it's safe. >> a partial match on a jeanology website led to his arrest. >> newing to is actually increasing the chances of misidentifying people with dna. >> when you did dna testing you would get a sim profile of one

>> firefighter went in and the 23-year-old followed suit. the whole time we were there, we never saw him come back out. >> the little girl was later found safe and with a family member. firefighters will monitor the scene overnight. >> another big fire started in the attic of a day care center about 4:30 this afternoon. workers noticed the fire while everyone was outside for recess. took firefighters about a an hour to put out the blaze. we're very glad to say nobody was heard. >> attorneys for cosby screamed a profanity at the judge. sentencing will take place during the next 90 days. he faces up to so years in prison on three counts. it involved a person who claimed cosby drugged and molested her in 2004.

dropping our temperatures every single day the last couple of days. we were three to six degrees cooler than average. we'll carry on with that trend. santa rosa, 71 degrees the next couple of days, including the weekend, below average. then you'll see the temperatures slowly moderating starting next week. taking a look at the temperatures. in the 40s and 50s across the bay area. as you look from our emoriville camera looking back towards san francisco, look carefully. you can see the overcast sprinkles, light shower tomorrow night into saturday morning. cooler than average right on through the weekend. hour by hour we go. tomorrow morning there will be some slick spots due to drizzle between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 you'll notice some green showing up. 11:00 a.m., still pretty cloud. tomorrow night as the system gets closer and pushes to the north it will squeeze out a few showers. mainly mendocino county but a few showers may slip southward.
