. breaking news, a shooting inside a bowling alley. good evening. >> right away let's get to abc 7 news reporter who arrived outside the classic bowling center on king drive a short time ago. katy, what can you tell us? >> it's a very active scene. there's lots of officers coming and going from the bowling center. they have not be able to stop and speak with me at this point. let me show you some video. it's kind of the best view of what we have. a shots fired call came in around 9:19 tonight. the shooting seemed to have happened inside the bowling alley. there's lots of crime tape. this is in daali city.

i can tell you there's visible blood. so someone is injured. now, i take you to a second scene where we see police stopped a vehicle at westboro boulevard and galway i'm theeld a public information officer is headed to the scene. we'll work to get more updates from officers on scene and speak to the public information officer when he or her arrives. abc 7 news. >> all right. thank you very much. developing news here in the east bay. a hercules police officer and another driver both went to the hospital after their cars collided this evening. one of their cars also crashed into a third vehicle. police tell us the officer was rushing to a domestic violence call and had his lights and siren on. that's when a woman collided with the officer. both of them are expected to survive.

right now it's not clear if the driver heard the police car's siren before the crash. the founder of the worldwide phenomenon noeng as burning man died today in san francisco, though the party moved to the desert in nevada years ago but the routes are still right here. here's more on a special memorial tonight in honor of larry harvey. >> to larry. >> to larry and all that he started. >> to larry. >> this is where burning man started in 1986 with a small bonfire on baker beach by this man, larry harvey. since then it's grown into the worldwide phenomenon it is today. >> he has really managed to do something few people in the world have done with no commerce, no religion, it's not a cult. it's a wonderful community. >> and on the day of his death, strangers, yet like minded

they were thrown into the dealta. nearby fishermen are credited with saving one of the two men. >> a fishing boat heard them in the yelling and they responded to assist. they got one gentleman out of the water. the other, they were unable to find. >> a search was called off at 3:00 today. the men were not wearing life vest it is. >> uc berkeley police are looking for an armed man who tried to rob a female student early this morning. >> she fought to get herself to safety and narrowly made it into one of the dormgs. our reporter spoke with the victim's suite mate. >> she's obviously shaken up. >> grace lives in the same place at unit 1. you can see the man who police say had just tried to rob her. he's looming outside the door with what appears to be a gun in his hand. >> give me your stuff, i have a

possibly with corn rows. he wore a hoody and acid wash jeans. >> if somebody has more information they'll get us that information to track down suspects. >> a california woman on the southwest plane that suffered deadly engine miss happen misha. she says he's been suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. she's filed suit against southwest and the engine's manufacturer. she was sitting three rose behind a glass that shattered. >> a car dragged a police officer on to the bay bridge. his name is spears. he's now recovering at home after last night's dangerous confrontation with a driver.

witnesses said the driver tried to speed away after the officer stopped her. he clung to the steering wheel while the driver hit other vehicles. other chp officers rushed in to help him. you're about to hear them and the officer himself. >> we have the driver detained. >> units, motorcycle is here. >> drug me about half a mile. and tried to kill me. . >> the suspect, 33-year-old nicole christine wade is in the san francisco county jail facing several felony charges and also you saw just a moment ago a picture of the officer she's accused of hurting. >> today was oakland's 13th annual disaster preparedness drill. city wide emergency response exercise. the public education program was established in 1990 of the 1989

earthquake. drills like the one that took place today have been taking place since 2006. >> we have earthquakes, fires. we have a large active port that carries hazardous materials. our goal is to get people ready to take care of themselves, to be resilient in the face of disaster. >> today's exercise simulated a major earth quake. 200 volunteers are trained annually through the core program. >> live moore police say a man tried to steal a car. officers took this photo after they arrested robert earl jones iii. they claim he drove away after a salesperson left the vehicle, the person took off. they had to tase the suspect.

cover slowing the cooling process. mid 50s, a popular temperature right now. our coldest spot is in napa and clear lake dropping into the upper 40s right now. live doppler 7 along with satellite, here's the big picture. you can see the counterclockwise sw spin to the north of us as an area of low pressure. we're too far away to get significant rainfall out of it. but what it has done, dropped in cooler air. that cooler air will continue the next 24 hours. we're just close enough we may see a little more drizzling. showings you early tomorrow morning perhaps some spotty drizzling in the north bay. 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning while many of us are sleeping we could see a little drizzle in the south way. it will wind down one the sun comes up tomorrow. spotty drizzle overnight.

the officers are still there tonight investigating what happened. >> a hercules police officer and a woman are both in the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries after their cars collided. a third was also involved in the crashing. the officer was rushing to a domestic violence call with his lights and siren on when the collision occurred. >> the burning man is mourning larry harvey. harvey suffered a stroke earlier this month and died today in san francisco. he was 70 years old. >> i still love the guy. i'd like to break his legs, but god forgive me for that. >> hmm. leonard meyers spent his life building hope tabernacle. the congregation was 300 people with a mission to serve. >> why is the pastor so angry about the man he chose to succeed him? here's the story.
