a man from pacific who stopped to help said a woman on board jumped off but landed on her face and pulled her out. and one of the passengers explained what went wrong. >> the motor ran out on us. >> the man who helped the sailors said he knew something was wrong when he saw the lights from the boat. >> my family and i were driving back from the city and saw the light of the boat in the surf lines. just lucky i was i guess. >> no one on board was from the bay area, they were heading to san diego. 3.0 just after 10:3010:30100

a cafe of accused of racism has turned into a meeting spots. elisa harrington is outside the elmwood cafe in berkeley with this story. >> reporter: as you can see, people have a lot to say. now the doors have been closed for more than a week now. people continue to post messages with their thoughts, memories and criticism. crowds still gather outside the now shutters elmwood cafe in berkeley. they continue a conversation many feel the owners tried to silence by abruptly shutting down. >> a lost opportunity.

years. in berkeley, elisa abc7 news. abc7 news was in downtown where children for change led a fun run. some folks shot baskets to raise money for steph curry's foundation. other young people issued like fighting homelessness. and promoting >> they get supper something that is meaningful to them. you are looking at young women who want to clean our planet. fighting to keep the siberian tiger from extinction.
