gathered. that's where four people got towed. no one arrested there. let's get a quick update on weather and traffic starting with meteorologist mike nicco. >> we have a dry live doppler 7 this seven. we have clouds out there and we will throughout the day. a stray shower possible. i put the clouds out there and cooler-than-average temperatures. mid 40s to low 50s at 7:00, then mid 50s at the coast the better part of the day while we'll hit near 60 for your lunchtime temperature. low to mid 60s, so another cool april day to round out the month. as you head toward 7:00, mid to upper 50s if you have outdoor activities. let's talk about the commute with alexis. >> our only issue is in marin county. northbound 101 still full closure at agent they are ton due to the rollover crash around san antonio road. this happened almost three hours ago. so they have been working on

cleaning this up for quite some time. if you want to use lakeville highway, that's still looking good. you're forced off at atherton and can get back on northbound 101. everyone else looking good. as i mentioned, a quick check of the bay bridge toll plaza, stackup in the cash lanes. we should be free and clear of those metering lights. next update at 4:40. newly obtained body camera video shows oakland officials visited the ghost ship warehouse a year prior. >> the question, did they do anything to prevent a hazard that ended up killing 36 people. here is nbc's lillian kim. >> reporter: this is one of several body cam videos obtained by the bay area news group. in this clip you can hear one of the officers describing the warehouse as a huge fire issue..

despite those comments the bay area news group found no public records indicating they notified city fire or building officials. 36 people died there in a fire. master tenant derick almena and right-hand man max harris are charged with involuntary manslaughter. they say it's not completely their fault and the body cam videos prove that. >> why didn't you shut it down? why didn't you file complaints, why didn't you call the fire department. >> who got stabbed? we want to know who got stabbed. >> reporter: oakland police officers visited the ghost ship several times. jim dudley is a retired deputy chief with sfpd and a criminal justice lecturer at

state. >> reporter: almena and harris are scheduled to stand trial in july. their attorneys have included the numerous visits by city employees as part of their defense. lillian kim, abc 7 news. this morning two genetic research firms say they did not play a role in catching the man suspected of being the golden state killer. they used dna to create a genetic profile which they used to search the public genealogy website gen match. 23 me in mountain view and ancestry.com says they do not share information with public databases. nearly 200 high grants are at the u.s.-mexico border in san diego seeking asylum in the u.s. this marks the end of a month-long journey through mexico. they say they are fleeing turmoil back home including gang

violence, lgbt persecution and other dangers. in a tweet president trump says he instructed the sec tafr of homeland security not to let these large caravans of people into our country. u.s. immigration officials say the san yeah cease droe border crossing is at capacity. the migrants say they're going to wait at the border no matter how long this takes. >> a live desk update. >> from our live desk this morning, look at this. there's a huge wildfire burning right now in arizona. it is called the tinder fire. and we did get some new video of it overnight. we can tell you it's now more than 8,000 acres i.'s burning just south of flagstaff. evacuations have been ordered and hundreds of homes are at risk. we know several structures have burned but we don't know the full extent of damage. at least 500 firefighters are on the front line. no word yet on exactly what started this fire. back to you. >> jessica, thank you.

russia pushing for a role in any peace talks between north and south korea. vladimir putin says his country is ready to help broker a peace deal. he spoke with south korean leader moon jae-in yesterday. putin invited moon for a state visit in russia in june. a man driving by a beach along a peninsula is credited with helping rescue for people from a boat. the boat got in trouble late saturday night. a man from pacifica stopped to help says a woman on board jumped off, landed on her face and he pulled her out. one of the passengers explained what went wrong. >> the motor went out on us, the diesel ran out. >> the man who helped the sailor says he knew something was wrong when he saw the lights of the boat. >> my family and i were driving back from the city and we saw

morning. everything dry. i expect it to be that way on the roads. breezy at times but nothing too strong that you need to worry about. mass transit, cool this morning, cool this afternoon compared to average. we'll call it mild, especially in the east bay valleys when you go from 54 and mainly a lot of clouds this morning to about mostly sunny conditions at 65 at noon, increasing sunshine and we'll hang around the upper 60s as we head throughout the afternoon and into the 6:00 hour. for the peninsula, about 54 this morning. cloud cover there. 58 at noon. we'll hang in the low 60s during the afternoon hours, back down to about 55 degrees at 8:00. make sure to have outdoor activities, the kids playing some sports, take a blanket with you or maybe a coat. today is the last cooler-than-average day. may starts tomorrow. temperatures get back to average if not warm, a little above average. if you had to turn the heater on this weekend like you did in our house, probably not this coming weekend.

how things going for you this morning? >> we're okay aside from the north bay. we have a sig alert, a full closure of northbound 101 in novato due to a flipped semi at about 1:40 this morning. it was hauling a motocross ramp. that went flying off the trailer and the trailer itself flipped over. crews are, woulding on cleaning this up. both lanes, just two lanes through this stretch of 101 are blocked right now. no estimate on when we'll get that back open. for now you're diverted off to agent they are son. if you want to avoid this completely, take 116 lakeville highway and continue north through the petaluma westbound 580 trace si to dublin in the yellow at 37 minutes. northbound 85, 101 to cupertino looks great, in the green at 15 minutes. a warning this morning if you're on facebook. the scam offering innocent victims big bucks. an east bay coffee shop

we'll be polite. coming up on 4:46. i want to show you a couple areas of cloud cover. you can see one just off our coast and another one off -- it's coming down from alaska. those are two areas of low pressure that will keep yanking down this cooler than average air. we'll have a mixture of sunshine and clouds not only today but also tomorrow. it's up in the sierra where we'll have the best chance of any moisture, whether in the form of rain or snow or even thunderstorms in the next 48 hours. for us, a mix of sun and clouds today, breezy, cooler than average. it's probably going to be a cooler than average month. clearing, cool and calm tonight. a slow warming trend with more sunshine from the beginning of may. today, 57 at half moon bay to 60 at santa cruz. we've got 61 in san francisco. about 62 to 65 around the bay and about 65 to 68 inland. think about it. a lot of our temperatures inland should be around the 70s. tonight, there you go, we'll

clear out and cool down into the mid 40s to around 50 degrees. heater may kick on again tonight. my accuweather forecast, we'll introduce 70s tomorrow to our inland neighborhoods. they'll finally reach the bay on friday, 80s inland saturday and sunday. 60s at the coast. when it does get warmer, it's going to feel pretty nice. >> all our trouble spots are in the north bay so far this morning. we have the full closure of northbound 101 around san antonio road. traffic being forced off at atherton, all due to the flipped semi that happened about three hours ago. working on clearing up the trailer. there is also a motocross ramp that went flying off that trailer. a complicated pickup there. in san rafael, southbound 101 moving fine. on the northbound side you can't see too much, traffic heading towards us, we do have reports of a vehicle blocking the left-hand lane. that shouldn't cause any major

delays. we'll check on the central valley coming up next. sprint and t-mobile have agreed to a merger. >> jeff bezos steps closer to sending paying customers into space by the end of the year. in today's tech bites, t-mobile is offering $26 million for sprint. they say the merger is necessary to compete with verizon and att. some analysts disagree saying prices will rise and jobs will be cut. apple getting to virtual reality. they're working on a vr headset to compete with facebook and other companies. >> unlike other headsets it will be wireless and you won't need a phone to use it. jeff bezos says blue origin company is closer to putting paying customers into space. it launched its eighth successful test flight of the shepherd capsule. >> bezos hopes to send real

are flipped on. a group of suspected sthooefs used a stolen pickup truck as a battering ram to break into a gun store near orlando, florida. six people ran into the store once the front window was smashed, they broke display cases and grabbed everything they can. deputies captured three of the six suspect. nasa's top administrator has shut down the project to search for signs of life on the moon but plans to explore the moon are still on. scientists working on the resource pro specter mission were told their project is ending. they were developing a lunar rover to search for hydrogen, oxygen, any compound essential for life. they planned to explore the moon for resources but will partner with commercial companies to pay for the mission instead of using public funds. abc 7 news was at people's park for a celebration to mark the 49th anniversary of its creation. the park was a muddy parking lot until 1969 when the city turned into what would be a central
