said it was a breach of chutrus over working to make sure it does not happen again. there's a clear history, deleting your browsing history from facebook. >> you can use the tool to see the websites you've been directed to, clear the information from your account and turn it off having this information stored with your account going forward. >> that is a major new feature and announced the launch of a dating feature, video calls on instagram, and a stand alone virtual reality headset. even as congress demands answers from facebook, developers are looking for new features and products from the company. abc 7 news reporter matt keller has that story from san jose, matt? >> reporter: the controversies have not stopped people from attended fa. it's a packed house in san jose as people want to know what's next for facebook. facebook wants to make friends at its annual fa developer

conference in san jose. >> get excited, people. high five, buddy. chus bump, chus buest pumbump. >> reporter: the ceo faced tough questions at a congressional hearing in april over the cambridge analytica scandal, and tech analysts say developers have tough questions for facebook. >> some of the data privacy concerns have resulted in reduced permissions for developers to access data so they have questions. i think the tone is going to be hopefully positive, but i think, also, conciliatory at the same time. >> reporter: representatives from taste made are here at the two-day event. >> our biggest platforms currently. >> reporter: the online lifestyle company for food, travel, and home design noticed changes recently to the facebook algorithm. mark promised more posts on feeds from family and friends and less from businesses, brands, and media.

the port and i have not heard back, but here's the action going on here. you can see protesters are on the move. they held a rally here, and now they are marching to the plaza. they did listen to some speakers organized here, and it was not just rights activists, but joined by activists against police brutality. this is a day for workers rights, members want to join forces and bring attention to police brutality. >> i think we have to start thinking a little more about people instead of just profit in this country, and so, no, i don't feel bad at all about taking the day off and marching with my brothers and sisters. >> reporter: there's video of the activity happening here just moments ago before they headed off on their march. workers tell me that if this day of action changes one person's way of thinking about workers' rights or police brutality, they

say it will have been worth it. they are calling on and planning for the day to be peaceful. so far, it has been. there's several police officers here on motorcycles, you see some going by now, and also on bicycles, all standing by just in case, but a peaceful day so far, and, again, we reached out to the port of oakland and have not heard back. live in oakland, abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. new this morning, sky7 was above napa road and burndale road where there appears to have been an accident involving a tractor. you see that in the circle there. we are not zooming in because there appears to be someone dead perhaps on the ground. the video highlights the area where this happened. abc 7 news is still working to confirm details, but several first responders are on the scene right now. new details from oakland police on a double homicide. they say a man and woman were killed on 89th avenue near

international boulevar. officers heard shots at 9:30 last night, and a short time later, victims were wounded. so far, no one is in custody. anyone with information is asked to call the oakland police. this morning, investigators on the golden state killer case want to know if a romantic breakup triggered a murderous rampage. in 1978, a victim said he said bonny, saying i hate you, bonny, over and over again. the suspect who has been charged, joseph deangelo was once engaged to a bonny. the cold case investigator believes the suspect had a grudge against her. >> we run across a newspaper article, engagement to a bonny back in 1970 so now we have a guy that has a bonnie in his life, so something happened in that relationship that caused them to part. >> a source close to abc news identified bonnie as bonnie

olson, and she's speaking with prosecutors. new at 11:00, 17 states are suing to challenge the epa's auto emissions rollback. attorney general announced the suit an hour ago from sacramento. the epa said standards that aim to slash carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles are too stringent, but officials said the plan violates the clean air act. governor brown called the ad min straiter scott pruitt an outlaw. >> this move by pruitt with the help and encouragement of trump is not going to make america great, but second rate, and may and probably will jeopardize america's auto industry. >> brown also says the rollback hurts the health of californian and americans breathing in tail pipe emissions. this morning, we are learning what special counsel robert mueller wants to ask

president trump. the "new york times" obtained four dozen questions mueller wants to address ranging in topics from the tweets to comey. they compiled questions as well for the special counsel to ask. >> met with the investigators, and they went through subject after subject after subject they wanted to ask about. they wrote down all the things coming up with 49 questions. >> you read the quesons, and you say to yourself, there is simply no way the president can sit down with robert mueller and answer all of these questions. >> why? >> because he's going to inevitably contradict himself in the very least. >> the president tweeting, so disgrateful that the questions concerning the russian witch hunt were leaked to the media. no questions on collusion. oh, i see, you have a made up phony crime, collusion, that never existed, and an investigation begun with illegally leaked classified

information. nice. new at 11:00, $14 million in emergency funds help california schools damaged in wildfires. state education officials say schools affected in the wildfires in the north bay and the december wildfires in southern california will have access to the funds. they'll be spent on repairs, debris removal, and environmental cleanup. the north bay alreawildfires cl 600 schools with 260,000 students. the fight to rollback the state gas tax will likely be on the november ballot. tax opponents have enough signatures on a repeal initiative. the tax that went into effect in november adds .12 to every gallon of gas you buy, and the money funds thousands of road repair projects. abc 7 news spoke with drivers filling up their tanks in concord in the morning commute. some said they need the gas tax for repairs issue and others say enough is enough. >> we need new bridges and roads.

uber is committed to safety following an investigation into sexual assault claims against drivers. cnn found 103 uber drivers in the u.s. were accused of sexual assault or abuse in the past four years. each driver has been arrested, is wanted by police, or has been named in a civil lawsuit. in a statement, uber said, quote, the stories are horrific.

we worked with cnn to understand the findsings and determined we did 2.4 billion trips in the u.s. in the same period. in an exclusive, hear from ashley judd after filing lawsuit against disgraced harvey weinstein claiming he blocked her from getting major movie roles in retaliation for turning down his advances. the lord of the rings movie, said she was a nights mare to work with and cost her a role in the block buster franchise. >> i was invite to see which role i preferred. >> then just poof? >> we never heard anything back. judd will donate monetary damages from the lawsuit to the times up legal defense fund. weinstein's team repeatedly said he denies any allegations of nonconsensual sex. a partner of a shooting victim filed a lawsuit against

peterson who could have prevented deaths if he had intervened. the broward county sheriff previously said the deputy never entered stoneman douglas high school when the gunman was inside. peterson said through lawyers he was unsure where the gunfire was coming from. 17 people died in the mass shooting on valentine's day. new this morning, a deadly high-rise building fire and collapse in brazil. jessica castro from abc 7 mornings has the dramatic video, jessica? >> caught on video. look at the huge flames, one person is dead, but there are still many others missing. right now, there are search efforts still underway at this building in brazil, and look at this, the very moment the building crashed down. there were reportedly at least 150 people living there. i also want to show you some new video from that search effort underway right now. this is from the firefighters' facebook page, and at this time, they are still going through the rubble. you can see they are using k-9s

there as well as to help in the search, and firefighters are putting out hot spots. they have been doing so for several hours. witnesses told first responders that they could hear at least one person calling for help from the upper floors, and as many as 160 firefighters, 57 vehicles responded to this massive blaze this morning. it is still unclear exactly what sparked this massive fire. i'm jessica castro, abc 7 news. >> thank you. processing has begun for eight people part of a caravan camped outside a border access point in southern california. four mothers, three children, and an 18-year-old were taken in yesterday, and about 140 others are still waiting to cross the border. many from honduras and guatemala are seeking asylum. the department of justice filed criminal charges against 11 people accusing them of entering the u.s. illegally. there will be a may day

hi, everybody,his is a look from the exploratory camera at pier 15. the sun is out. the temperatures are responding. we're in the mid-50s to mid-60s already. a little bit warmer than we've been in the last couple days. a couple hours of warming to go. you see the sun in san jose. grab the sunglasses, sunny today and highs climbing now that we're out of the late april funk of cool weather. chance of showers still out there, but southeast of our neighborhoods, and dry and warm pattern developing through the weekend, and here's the area shaded in green, and i wanted to point that out. heading to the central valley or sierra, best chance of thunderstorms with lightning and hail. live doppler 7, there's valley rain and mountain snow. for us, yeah, came through the north bay, through the eastern sections of mt. hamilton, and in napa, but that's about it. the rest of us just were cloudy this morning. this afternoon, look at this, 69

and 72 in san jose. as you head up the peninsula, mid to upper 60s with redwood city, and some of the warm spots, and coast is warmer today, low 60s there, and mid-60s in downtown and south san francisco, and upper 70s in the north bay, breezy at times up here, the east bay shore, breezy, temperatures in the upper 60s, low 70s, and 72 in herk hercules. a look at breezes over the bay, and further south you are, of the bay bridge, the faster the breezes will be and choppier wae waves will be. the temperatures stay in the 50s at the coast, 60s inland and bay neighborhoods, and 70s at 4:00, back to 60 at 8:00, and grab a jacket at midnight for any reason, low to mid-50s. giants, hottest team in baseball r right now. can they take another from the

is part of a bigger picture. that bigger picture is statewide mutual aid. california years ago realized the need to work together. teamwork is important to protect the community, but we have to do it the right way. we have a working knowledge and we can reduce the impacts of a small disaster, but we need the help of experts. pg&e is an integral part of our emergency response team. they are the industry expert with utilities.

whether it is a gas leak or a wire down, just having someone there that deals with this every day is pretty comforting. we each bring something to the table that is unique and that is a specialty. with all of us working together we can keep all these emergencies small. and the fact that we can bring it together and effectively work together is pretty special. they bring their knowledge, their tools and equipment and the proficiency to get the job done. and the whole time i have been in the fire service, pg&e's been there, too. whatever we need whenever we need it. i do count on pg&e to keep our firefighters safe. that's why we ask for their help.
