a peninsula doctor says he is concerned that an addiction treatment program where he sends patients could be facing the axe. the hop says it's not true. this comes at a time when opioid addiction insided demand for specialized care. here our reporter david louie. >> it leaves me unsure and worried about the future of addiction treatment in san mateo county. >> reporter: andrew glad is a burlingame physician treating patients with addictions. he learned this week a a detox program at san mateo health center is at risk of closing. he attended a meeting this week where he was told the 21-bed program was give and short reprieve but could be in jeopardy. >> to go back to a place and time where these -- these needs aren't met with specific treatment is a huge step
