we're back with this dramatic video of a tornado that appeared to come out of nowhere. this is in western germany. a very rare sight there. drivers had nowhere to go. the storm lasted for about 15 minutes but only two injuries were reported. now to that racist rant caught on camera. >> yeah, a man inside a busy new york city restaurant when he lashed out after hearing workers speak spanish and then he took things up with the manager.

>> your staff is speaking spanish to customers when they should be speaking english. every person i listen to, he spoke it, she's speaking it. it's america. >> reporter: this man's racially charged tirade this morning resulting in a lot of backlash. it happened during a busy lunchtime at a restaurant as he threatened to have the workers there deported from what he called his country. >> i pay for their welfare. i pay for their ability to be here. the least they could do is speak english. >> reporter: the woman who shot the video says she was horrified. she gave an interview to our new york station but did not want to be identified. >> i just looked at him and i said you know you're very ignorant. he said, you need to go back to your country. i said, funny, i am standing in my country. i was born and raised here in new york. >> reporter: once the video was posted online, internet sleuths asked for help to identify the man. just hours later someone recognized him from a protest last year yelling at others who were supporting a palestinian activist. ironically the man's professional website claims he speaks spanish fluently and that he's a member of the new york

state bar association. but the bar association disputed that claim saying it found no records of him being a member. and new york's mayor responded saying the city's diversity is its strength. he said more than 200 languages are spoken by new yorkers and they're all welcome. a mariachi band is going to welcome him today at his law firm. >> i really want to see that. rex tillerson is speaking publicly for the first time since being fired by president trump. tillerson told graduates at the virginia military institute that america is facing a crisis of ethics and integrity. he cautioned that even small exaggerations of fact are a problem. when we as people, a free people go wobbly on the truth, even on what may see the most trivial matters, we go wobbly on america. if our leaders seek to conceal the truth or we as people become accepting of alternative realities that are no longer grounded in facts, then we as american citizens are on a pathway to relinquishing our freedom.
