maybe 55 until the metering lights are flipped on. slight delays out of the central valley already. road work picked up on 580, westbound 580 tracy to dublin, 39 minutes for you, dublin to mission boulevard 14 minutes. and on 85, highway 101 to cupertino, in the green about 16 minutes. 49ers linebacker rubin foster goes back to court. >> his ex is expected to tell the judges she made the charges of domestic violence up. >> reporter: rubin foster is out on bail. he'll be arriving in front of the hall of justice for his 9:00 preliminary hearing. this is going to be a big day for the 49ers linebacker. he's facing three felonies related to a domestic violence incident. his girlfriend recanted publicly through her attorney. they say her injuries happened during a fight with another

woman and there's video to prove it. that video has been turned over to the district attorney's office. her attorney told "the sacramento bee" it has plans on testifying today. that will be up to the prosecution. legal analyst stephen clark says the d.a.'s office may want to call her to the stand to get her testimony on record. a judge may want to decide if there's enough evidence for the case to come forward. 49ers say they're waiting for the case to be resolved before they make any decisions on foster. live in san jose, matt keller, abc 7 news. this morn san francisco police are trying to identify a man whose dogs bit four people and another dog. the attack happened at dolores park on sunday. abc 7 news reporter lillian kim has the story. >> reporter: mission del lorre ris park is usually a haven for dog owners and pets. >> a great place to take our dogs. most dogs are really well trained. >> reporter: on sunday san francisco police say this two pit bulls attacked another dog.

investigators are looking for the pit bull and their owner. it happened in the grassy area above the four basketball court. four people who tried to separate the animals were also bitten. >> reporter: the incident alarmed the dog park community. people say the two pit bulls and their owner don't appear to be regulars. police say the owner left the scene without providing any identification or information regarding the dogs' vaccination records. >> in my mind you would stay around to see if the dog was okay or if the attacked dog needed medical attention -- >> if he knows they are aggressive dogs and incapable of being in an environment like this, that's his responsibility to acknowledge and that keep them on leash. >> reporter: anyone with information is urged to call sfpd's vicious and dangerous dog unit. in san francisco, lillian kim, abc 7 news.

a man with a violent criminal record is charged with the murder of a young couple in sonoma couple. authorities say sean michael gal lum shot them in the head as they lay on the beach. 22-year-old lindsey kuch shaw and jason allen were on on on o from their jobs as christian camp counselors. they spent 12 years pursuing the case. gallon was arrested for killing his younger brother last year. a lead paint maker agreed to pay $60 million to remove toxic material from homes around california. the settlement ends nearly two decades of litigation. nl industries does not acknowledge any wrongdoing as

concord, low to mid 50s through the san ramon valley. emeryville a little hazy, it's going to be a bright day once we get through the afternoon hours. no threat of showers and thunderstorms like we had yesterday. mass transit, cool at your stops this morning. comfortable, i would say, in the afternoon hours. if you're going to be on the ferries, anywhere on the bay today, small craft advisory, will be choppy and breezy. in san francisco, we've got cloud cover down there. it's going to be pretty stubborn through about noon. sunshine in the afternoon hours. we'll go from 54 this morning to the upper 50s by 5:00. in the south bay a little more sunshine and a little more warmth. still temperatures not quite up to par yet. we'll start off in the morning at about 56. if you're heading out at noon, be ready for 66 and a lot of sunshine, hanging around 70 for the afternoon hours and grab the jacket before heading out this evening. back to 59 with increasing clouds. a quiet weather pattern today.

what are you seeing on the roads? >> pretty quiet on the traffic front this morning, too. looking at overnight road work that's causing a bit of a slowdown on eastbound 580, a long-term bridge project between grove way and palaver day, lanes scheduled to be closed until 6:00 this morning. right now a half mile, maybe a little more of that for that backup on the eastbound side. typically you're wide open in that direction. they've been getting that done a little ahead of schedule. i'll keep an eye on that. san jose nice and quiet. not many vehicles out at 280 and highway 17. no blocking issues in the south bay so farr. we'll look at drive times coming up next. two days and counting until the royal wedding. we're live outside windsor castle. wildfires a frothy brew

mornings. a hopeful sign tourists are returning in the aftermath of the wildfires. a new survey finds that the younger release, more than 12,000 guests went to the russian river brewing company in downtown santa rosa during that two-week event. 67% of those came from outside the area. the transportation department wants to know what you think about animals flying on airplanes. the department is taking public comment to shape new regulation about service animals on flights. its goal is to make sure new rules don't discriminate against people with disabilities while at the same time cutting down on people abusing the system. you have 45 days to weigh in. >> isn't there a link between fido and your love life? wag, an app for dog services came up with interesting results in a survey. one in four say they met a new

looking south on 101. no fog here, but we'll keep an eye on the next day or two that some fog could develop as the marine layer starts to come back. today mostly sunny, almost seasonal temperatures. minor warming trend. unsettled next week is another area of low pressure like we had yesterday. could sit and spin on us. let's take a look at the cloud cover. you can see pretty sunny, just about everywhere by noon except for the coast. you'll be pretty cloudy at the coast throughout the afternoon hours while the rest of us are waiting until the evening hours to see the marine layer, cloud deck move over. 70 in san jose. mid to upper 60s on the peninsula. cooler in millbrae, 62, because of the breezes shooting through the san bruno gap. upper 50s to low 60s from the coast to the bay side of san francisco. upper 60s and 70s through most of the east bay. oakland at 64. a little warmer in our valleys,

upper 60s in the san ramon valley. tonight's temperatures upper 40s in the valleys, low to mid 50s once again. when i say minor warming trend, we barely jump up. friday, saturday, and then cools down a little bit sunday and monday. we have not had any major issues so far this morning. we're definitely not complaining. we're looking at light volumes on the san mateo bridge. so westbound traffic as you leave hey hard heading towards foster city, you should have a smooth drive. we or not seeing delays on our drive times through that stretch. southbound 101, santa rosa to petalu petaluma, looking good at 14 minutes. northbound 101, 280/680 to highway 85, looking good. so far in the green at 11 minutes. the owners of a building under construction in berkeley are taking steps to protect their project after a string of

suspicious fires. >> workers spraying a special fire inhibitor on exposed wood framing. the owners are concerned because of construction fires erupted while the buildings were unfinished. they say the treatment offers protection while a building is particularly vulnerable to arson. >> even with insurance the cost to the contractors and developers is in the millions of dollars. >> so if there was a fire or somebody lit the building on fire, the chemistry comes out to break the chemical reaction in the fire to stall its ability to advance. >> when finished, the building on telegraph avenue will provide 250 beds for student housing at the if you use drop box, you may be owed money. they've settled a consumer protection lawsuit for more than 2 million dollars. $450,000 set aside to compensate. to qualify you must have purchased drop box pro while living in california between
