hateful and should not be reflective of our community. >> reporter: liz nance says the tweets from pastor stevens came as a shock to those at city hall so much so they discussed them at the city council meeting last week. >> you would not want your kids in that congregation singing or interacting. >> reporter: the tweets took shots at old people, the police and mostly the city itself from palo alto is an elitest expletive hate to disgusting. >> it may reflect badly on the church for a moment but it is not who we are. >> reporter: rick nixon says stevens' frustration was in part of a result of the church's permit trouble with the city. while the tweets were in poor taste stevens may have had a valid point. >> he could have made that critique in different language

maybe it would have been hospitalable to at least some people. >> reporter: stevens declined to talk with abc 7 news but told the local paper he plans to move to san francisco. lilian kim, abc 7 news. the body of an exchange student killed at a school in texas is headed back to her home country in pakistan, one of ten people who died on friday. lawmakers are weighing in on possible solutions to gun violence. >> reporter: a somber sunday at a memorial church service honoring victims of a santa fe high school student. outside the church this rainbow greeted the community. the 17-year-old suspect is accused of opening fire during an art class killing two teachers and eight students. including pakistani exchange student. the motive for the shooting is

unclear but the mother of one victim says her daughter may have been targeted because she rejected the suspect's advances for months. >> she finally stood up to him because her younger sister was being bullied in school and showing her this is what you do. you have to stand up to them and tell them it is not right. >> reporter: lawmakers are weighing in on the shooting. texas lieutenant governor dan patrick blamed the deaths in part to too many entrances. >> we have to funnel our students into our schools so we can put eyes on them. >> reporter: he said teachers should be armed and parents should store guns safely at home. meanwhile virginia democratic senator called for some degree of gun control. >> people want to hear more than thoughts and prayers from politicians. >> reporter: abc 7 news. >> in the hours following the shooting facebook say they

degrees. live doppler 7 along with satellite why the cold air and the wind? this area of low pressure sitting over california right now that just sat there keeping the cool air in place overhead. you combine that with an area of high pressure just off the coast and that high pressure brings us winds off the cool ocean water. unfortunately, this pattern is not changing over the next couple of days so the winds will continue tomorrow afternoon. overnight here is a call. we have clouds filling back in. starting temperatures on monday with a chance of drizzle developing. watch future weather. we will stop this tomorrow morning. we may see fair amount of early morning nine from santa rosa and over to knoxville. much of the region dealing with the fog. it will take the time retreating
