a frontier airlines flight had an incident where drama ended up spilling into the terminal. here's stephanie ramos. >> reporter: two families outraged and pointing the finger at each other after an incident with a service dog on a flight to orlando spiraled out of control, leading to this. the owner of the service dog pushing a man he says hit his animal and pregnant wife. passengers yelling, trying to intervene. crying kids in the middle of it all. >> assault me? >> reporter: it all allegedly began on this frontier airline plane. in the cellphone video, you see matthew with his wife hazel standing next to him. both of them are deaf. he confronts timothy manly and his family even kicking manly who's in a seat. in a report filed by the orlando police department, he says manly punched his great dane service

fe. president trump is calling for a special investigation of his own into the justice department and fbi. the president is demanding to know whether his presidential campaign was infiltrated or closely watched under orders from the obama administration. he said on twitter, he will make an official request today, but the justice department has already asked its internal watchdog to investigate. president trump in recent days has stepped up his attacks on the special counsel investigation. the part of the investigation into possible obstruction by the president may wrap up by the end of the summer. rudy giuliani, the president's chief personal attorney, said special counsel mueller told him he hopes to issue a report by september 1st. giuliani said timing depends on whether and when president trump submits to questioning by the special counsel's office. let's go to severe weather that ripped through texas and other parts of the south.

blamed for the first serious injury since this volcanic emergency began on hawaii's big island more than two weeks ago, blasting a chunk of molten rock towards a house, shattering the homeowner's leg as he sat on the balcony. he's recovering in a hospital. scientists expect more fissures to open and possibly more lava from the summit of kilauea. marci gonzalez, abc news, hilo, hawaii. at least two are dead and others injured after church van crashed. a deer ran into the road and the driver swerved trying to avoid it. several people were trapped inside the van and had to be rescued by emergency crews. about seven people were taken to the hospital. at least one other vehicle involved in that crash landed in a pond. former president george h.w. bush is back in kennebunkport, maine.

a prayer service was held for the 17-year-old exchange student from pakistan. >> we are here today because we are united in a shared grief. >> reporter: the confessed shooter, according to eyewitnesses, entered from the back of the school, armed with two guns and authorities say explosive devices. but none of those devices worked. police say the guns used in the shooting belonged to the suspect's father. his attorneys maintain neither parent saw this coming. >> they were as worried about their kid as everybody else was. >> reporter: according to authorities, the motive remains under investigation. but sadie rodriguez believes her daughter, sheena fisher, was shot and killed because he had been pursuing sheena for months, and her rejection made her a target. >> not even a week later he just shoots everyone, you know, and shoots, she was the first one. >> reporter: in response, the suspect's attorney calls that pure speculation.

whatever the motive, the governor says his hope is that the suspect gets swift texas justice. elizabeth hur, abc news, santa fe, texas. three days after that deadly rampage, a church honored seniors graduating. with heavy hearts and caps and gowns they took the stage. they were given a standing ovation. the school's graduation is scheduled for june 1st. investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a fire that destroyed a pregnancy resource center in arkansas. it does not perform abortions or offer abortion referral services. at least three other businesses were damaged in fires -- in the fire, no injuries were reported. president trump is now putting more pressure on the justice department. he tweeted that he's ordering an investigation into whether justice and the fbi infiltrated

or kept a close watch on his presidential campaign and is demanding to know whether those actions were requested by the obama administration. meanwhile, president trump is having second thoughts about next month's summit with north korea. the "new york times" reports he is worried it could turn into a political embarrassment. last month north korea declared they would never give up their nuclear weapons program. but lindsey graham says the president told him he is confident he can resolve the north korea problem before the end of his first term. the famed chef, mario batali, is being investigated by the nypd for sexual misconduct. several women accused the chef of misconduct and were featured in a scathing "60 minutes" report last night. one accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her while she was unconscious. and some of those making allegations worked for batali. >> he would try to wrestle with me. he would grab me. he's a monster.

region is where the lion's share will roar. kendis, eva? >> it's going to be wet in all of florida. pretty impressive to look at there, paul. the combination of lava and ocean waters creating a poisonous mix in hawaii. white steam rising above the water could become deadly. it's another danger facing the big island. marci gonzalez has a view from the ocean. >> reporter: for the first time since this volcanic emergency began, lava is pouring into the pacific ocean from a couple different places. when you look down there, you can see massive plumes where the lava is going into the water. and just behind me, another point of entry. one of the concerns is something called laze. this hazy plume that comes from the lava going in. and it can be incredibly toxic. there's hydrochloric acid and
