the proven, progressive leader we need for california's future. concord police want you to take a look at this man. they said he vie leaptly snatched the purses of two women outside of a bank. thank you for joining us. the purse snatchings happened last night at the sun valley mall bank of america. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live in concord with the latest on the condition of the elderly victim. amy? >> reporter: hi, good morning, she is in the hospital. police say she -- if you know this man, police would like to hear from you. they said they found this picture of a surveillance camera. they say after this picture was taken he attacked two older

women. >> the suspect approached them in the parking lot as they were entering the bank. the females were assisting each other into the bank. one female holding both purses. he ripped them from their grasp and pulling them to the ground. >> reporter: around 4:00 friday afternoon in the parking lot. customers were horrified to hear someone would do that to a 93-year-old. >> in the hospital. >> you're kidding? that's terrible. yeah. i have -- i had not heard that and certainly not something i heard about in this area. >> despicable. targeted by criminals. for money. >> reporter: police also have a picture of the car they think he is driving. they believe it is a chevy malibu. asking people to be on the lookout for him or the car. >> a sad case. any time we have our elderly citizens victims of crime it is definitely pulls at our heartstrings and citizens. % >> reporter: amy says police are getting dips in and if you have

information please feel free to contact the concord police. new this midday, san jose police shot at three dogs police say charged the officers this morning and responding to a disturbance call and the dogs charged. the dogs ran and hid in the backyard. one was wounded in the leg. the officers were not hurt. the owners tell abc7 news they keep the rottweilers inside every night and the dogs came out because police entered the yard without notice. new details on what killed two whales in san francisco bay. officials say both whales died from injuries caused by humans. this one surfaced on friday. a team of nine scientists performed after it was hit by a ship. a second whale carcass in marin

testified she falsely accused foster back in february because she wanted to get back at him for breaking up with her. legal analyst steven clark said the testimony seemed to be credible. >> came off raw, it came off organic and broke down on the stand and apologized. >> the 49ers have said they're waiting for the case to be resolved before making a decision on foster's future. the judge expected to issue a ruling at 3:30 p.m. morgan hill police are reaching out to the public for help to find a group of daytime burglars. police released photos of two of the man they're looking for. take a look. most recent burglary yesterday morning. police say the suspects park the vehicles in the area and force the way in. investigators say they have seen a spike in burglaries in the past week. new this morning, uber will use its app to remind users to buckle up according to "the washington post." the new campaign rolling out

now to the latest developments on the russia investigation. president trump fired off tweets this morning alleging that the department of justice conspired to help hillary clinton win the election. abc news reporter tara palmeiri has more from washington on what the president calls spy-gate. >> reporter: president trump pushing a major conspiracy

theory without providing evidence that the department of justice is out to get him. >> people saying they had spies in my campaign. >> reporter: tweeting spygate could be one of the biggest political scandals in history. the president fixated on ideas that the fbi spied on the campaign since "the new york times" reported last week that the fbi sent a confidential informant to gather more information about trump campaign advisers, their contacts with russians ahead of the election. the fbi will not confirm or deny using an informant. >> spying on a term i don't particularly like but on what the russians were doing. >> reporter: but the president's fury prompted a demand for investigation. the attorney general office expanded an investigation to include whether the bureau improperly targeting the trump campaign. the doj is set to turn over documents tomorrow. >> if they had spies in my campaign that would be a disgrace to this country.

>> reporter: before any evidence comes to light the president tweeting out unsubstantiated claims as facts like this tweet the spy was there early in the campaign and yet never reported collusion with russia because there was no collusion. he was only there to spy for political reasons and to help crooked hillary win. even referring to the justice department as, quote, the criminal deep state. former fbi director james comey is firing back saying the fbi's use of informants is tightly regulated and essential for protecting the country tweeting, facts matter adding, quote, the attack on the fbi an lyin the work will do lasting damage to our country. amazon is defending -- providing the facial recognition technology to police agencies according to bbc news. the aclu and others have urged them to stop sharing this technology with officers. it can apparently identify people and track them in realtime whether or not they're involved in crimes.

amazon says the technology has been used to find lost children, track down people of interest and has great potential for fighting crime in the future. happening today, facebook's marketplace made some changes in an effort to help you with your next home project. facebook just launched an expanded service on its classified section. now features services experience. marketplace is working with home services websites porch, handy and home adviser to provide people with home project professionals like plumbers and contractors. marketplace will also provide ratings and reviews of professionals for hire. well, we spoke with "american idol's" newest winner. what maddy poppy said her boyfriend and runner-up said to her right after she won. and looking at the reporting stations in the drizzle for the most part over. a little bit of mist near the coast and the clouds opening and looking at the golden gate a lot of gray out there and 4 to 10 degrees below average and we could be 20 to 2

cal trans keeping eye on the highway following a mudslide. crews worked to clear a 100-foot long stretch of debris and mud yesterday. that's on the california-nevada border. the mud five feet deep in some spots. as we have been talking about, thunderstorms are still possible across the sierra through at least saturday this weekend so more wet weather is on the way for them. we'll get our chance and won't

hanging on lower in the north bay than just about everywhere else and breezy north of the bay bridge through the delta. small craft advisory to 3:00. mid to upper 60s east bay shore and then the east bay valleys, some low 70s out highway 4 and walnut creek and still pretty cloudy but it's not as dark as it was this time yesterday. going to the beaches, the drizzle to let up and become breezy this afternoon and see sunshine. do all the yard work now before the holiday weekend and then it's hot and out on the bay again it's breezy and wavey north of the bay bridge. tonight low to mid-50s and gray out there and not as much green as we talked about for this morning. when the green does start to show up thursday evening during the overnight hours, area of low pressure over top of usment i believe this model's under doing the moisture to fall friday morning and if anything drizzle if not rain to fall on top of

this could happen in the bay area. a 30-year-old living at home with his mom and dad rent free for past eight years now they want him out. they even took him to court over it. abc's maggie reuhl explains how the son is responding. >> the parents. >> no obligation forsupport. >> reporter: versus son. >> not bothering them. >> he needs to get out. >> reporter: suing the 30-year-old son michael trying to evict him from the home where he lived rent free for eight years. >> i feel bad for both of them. he is not learning anything and he is just wasting their time and money. >> reporter: they said they tried for months to get the unemployed son to move out sending five letters asking him to leave and giving him $1,100 to find a place to stay. >> they have no obligation to provide support. he is well over the age of 21. >> reporter: tuesday michael asking as an attorney before new york's supreme court insisted

his parents should have given him six months to find alternative housing. >> i'm not a burden to them in the home. they don't provide laundry or food. >> reporter: he claims they asked him to move out after he lost custody of his son eight months ago when he says he needed them the most. >> after you lose your son and then shortly afterwards it's like, hey, lost your son and get out of the house. it was -- i was devastated when i lost my son. i don't like living here at all. >> reporter: the judge at one point laughing and calling the son's argument outrageous cited with the parents and granted the eviction. michael said he was planning the move out in a few months anyway and now plans to appeal the judge's decision. abc news, new york. >> now to a courageous feat that hits close to home. christopher is opening up "you bet your life" came out this
