that's the coast, the bay and inland. 70s and 80s at 4:00, even a few 90s out there. back to the 60s, 70s and 80s by 7:00. >> a really quiet morning until just a few moments ago. just hearing about what could be a serious situation in the dub dublin pleasanton area. a van traveling southbound on 680. we had a hit-and-run collision involving that van on the westbound 580 off-ramp. sounds like we have several people injured. we have emergency crews on the way to the scene. also saying a vehicle is partially in the water. trying to get to the bottom of all these details, i will definitely have an update coming up momentarily. everyone else very quiet. a live look at walnut creek. southbound 680. next update coming up at floodwaters are receding in a city in maryland and officials

are just beginning the grim task of assessing all the destruction there. look at this dramatic video we have from yesterday in ellicott city, about 12 miles west of baltimore. a wall of surging water from a flooded river cascaded down main street. you can see it took some of those cars along for the ride. the state of emergency was declared. no fatalities have been reported. cnn reports one person is still missing right now. a similar flood struck ellicott city two years ago. so deja vu there. two years ago those waters killed two residents and impacted local businesses. >> they say it was a once in a thousand year flood and it happened twice in the past two years. investigators are still trying to pin a cause to a fatal plane crash knew the petaluma airport. the aircraft is a custom build plane. people golfing nearby knew immediately something was wrong. >> finally it sounded like it

stalled completely and spiraled down and onto the roadway. >> aplayed with a couple of firefighters today. they rushed over. they come back and said they're dead. >> a man and a woman were on board the plane. both of them died. petaluma police say it's their understanding the plane was taking off and may have attempted to return to the airport. we sent out the alert about this deadly petaluma plane crash around 5:00 last night through our abc 7 news app. that's free to download, enable push alerts and you'll receive breaking updates like this one. >> violent crime has risen dramatically in sclount. according to a report from the district attorney's office there was a countywide increase in violent crime. in mountain view violent crime rose over 40%. property crimes, especially car break-ins saw a broad jump with sunnyvale showing a nearly 25%

increase. a majority of the property crimes are attributed to a violent teen robbery gang which now has been broken up. the da's report covered 2016 through 2017. a hardware store in san francisco was spared from serious damage after a fire broke out inside the building. the fire closed off the i-208 mariposa off and on-ramps yesterday morning. they say the fire started in a sub basement area of center hardware. nobody got hurt. no word yet on what sparked that fire. president trump's legal team says if robert mueller's investigators seek a court order to compel the president to testify in the russia investigation, his lawyers will fight it all the way up to the supreme court. the president has been complaining the fbi improperly spied on his campaign. after an fbi briefing, the top democrat on the house intelligence committee adam schiff says there's no evidence to support that claim. >> this suggests a piece of propaganda the president wants

to put out and repeat. then they say now that it's out there, they need to investigate it. >> it appears that there was an investigation not of the campaign, but of certain individuals who have a history that we should be suspicious of. >> president trump is scheduled wreath laying ceremony in washington later today. columbia's presidential race is headed for a runoff election. thousands of northern california immigrants came to san francisco to vote in the election for their homeland. abc 7 news was inside colombia's consulate on market street when voters cast their ballots. this is the first time in more than 50 years that colombia will select a new president during a time of peace. >> i agree with the process about peace and social inclusion. >> people are happy. we have seen many people voting. so we are hoping that this election will be for the best. >> colombia has 36 million citizens, more than 800,000 of

welcome back. now to a video that's making waves on social media of a new jersey police officer confronting a woman on the beach and then punching her in the head. he has been placed on administrative duty while an investigation is under way this morning. the officer approached the 20-year-old asking if she had been drinking. she says she took and passed a breathalizer test, but the cop didn't leave. in a now deleted facebook post she said she asked if they had something better to do. she says that is when the officer was going to let her go, but instead wrote her up. one beach goer described what happened. >> when she fell, that's basically when it caught my eye.

and oakland. concord at 90. that's 11 degrees warmer than average. two men are alive this morning thanks to the quick thinking and persistence of first responders in the central valley. you are watching highway patrol officers and firefighters pull one of these men from a car after it overturned into a canal in sanger which is east of fresno. it took about 15 minutes to free him. rescuers needed another 25 minutes to extract the other man from the car. he survived thanks to an air pocket in the vehicle and firefighters using the jaws of life. >> that's incredible video. the fbi has an urgent request for you this morning. they say turn off your router right now. agents say a sophisticated malware system linked to russia has infected hundreds of thousands of internet routers. the agency wants us to turn off our routers and turn them right back on again. malware is capable of blocking web traffic and collecting information that passes through home and office routers.

now it might be on again. president trump says he expects the summit with north korea to go on as scheduled june 12th. he tweeted yesterday that a u.s. team arrived in the north to make arrangements for the summit ending the message with these words, "it will happen." the president withdrew from the planned summit after north korea objected to strict ground rules of the meeting demanded by administration officials. a man who got stabbed at dolores park in san francisco is expected to survive. police say they were called around 7:30 last night to investigate. they found a man with stab wounds and sent him to the hospital. police detained several people, but so far they have not made any arrests. two german shepherd puppies are recovering this morning after a bay area organization rescued them from a homeless encampment. rocket dog res cue found the pups saturday night on 89th avenue and d street. one of the dogs had a paw cut off. the other had a broken jaw and

is being treated at the hospital. the two will be reunited later today. former president george h.w. bush remains in the hospital in maine this morning for low blood pressure and fatigue. the 93-year-old is likely to spend the next few days recovering according to a spokesperson. you might remember he spent 13 days in a houston hospital for an infection last month short li after his wife's funeral. mr. bush's spokesperson says the former president is alert. in fact, on saturday you can see he visited with veterans during a pancake breakfast. a moving tribute for a world war ii veteran declared missing in action 74 years ago. >> lieutenant thomas kelly flew a b 32 bomber during the war. his remains were just found months ago. yesterday he was honored in livermore with a 21-gun salute. last october the family got word the plane and the remains of the

minutes away from my accuweather forecast. i wanted to show you live doppler 7. whenever you see ten, that's unlimited. up in the north bay we've got haze, mist reported at the airport at half moon bay earlier. for some reason the hayward airport is telling us there's a patch of dense fog right here. let us know if it's really there. we've looked on our san mateo bridge, and it's really hazy, but we didn't see that much fog. know there's a possibility of it being there. 48 in half moon bay. temperatures everywhere else, you can see 60s in antioch and san jose and los gatos. the rest of us in the 50s. taking you to the coast at about 48. a look at san jose at 87. you can see the sunshine starting to develop. if youer ooh driving, you'll need sunglasses and air conditioning. if you're taking mass transit, which ones are running, don't expect much. it will be mild to hot as you're walking those parking lots or getting out of your particular station. the ferry ride, a lot of strong

sunshine. let's take a look at the north bay. 52 at 7:00. 87 at 4:00. about 75 at 5:00. there's a look at the actual hghs today, nearing 90 in napa and santa rosa. san rafael 83. bodega bay about 70. our inland east bay valleys, 85 at noon, 92 at 4:00, 85 at 7:00. this will be the first time most of these neighborhoods that reach 90, they'll actually get there this year, places like concord. 87 degrees on april 23rd. that's as warm as it's been so far this year. very disturbing news out of dublin. >> we potentially have a serious crash. we are waiting to confirm that. pretty empty roadways aside from that. we're looking live at the san mateo bridge. not seeing too many vehicles out there. no surprise. it is the holiday. just a couple issues, we have a problem on southbound 680 before you get to scott creek. sounds like a commercial vehicle

is still here. it fell about 150 feet off the freeway into a canal, but all the people got out okay. chp on the scene tells me everyone got themselves out of the car. the chp didn't have to rescue anyone. there were eight people in the minivan including a child. he estimated the child is about 3 years old. again, everyone okay. this is northbound 680 at 580 right here in pleasanton, on the line of pleasanton and dublin. i asked if there was another car involved or what made them go off the road, he said possibly another car involved. if there is, that car did not stick around, that driver did not stick around, but he's got to get a look at the car before he can tell if another car is involved. still quite a bit of investigating that needs to happen here. first they've got to get that car out of the canal which is going to be tricky. it is way down there. the good news is everyone is okay and rask is not impacted.

palace and granted him citizenship. the french media reported the father of the child was detained for neglect. the indiana science teacher shot while tackling a shooter at school, is thanking the community for support. witnesses say jason seaman through a basketball at the shooter on friday. he then ran toward the gunfire and tackled the suspect. this morning seaman explained what was going through his mind. >> my actions on that day in my mind were the only acceptable action i could have done given the circumstances. i deeply care for my students and their well-being. so that's why i did what i did that day. >> seaman thanked the hospital, the community and students at the school. one student set up a gofundme account and it has raised more than $62,000. health advocates are closely watching a san francisco
