>> i was thinking the same thing. it was harder than expected maybe because they played uncharacteristically horribly in the first half. but overcoming that 11-point halftime deficit, that's the largest ever by a road team in a game 7 in nba playoff history. now it's on to cleveland. >> i'm just happy at home court again. that feels good. it's pretty unique that we're seeing these guys again, nba history. we don't take it for granted and i'm pretty used to going to cleveland, so i know all the good spots to eat, where to see my movies. i'm happy. >> four years in a row, you know, getting to the finals, do you appreciate it? yes, because it's really hard. and so all the smiles and, you know, embraces you have with your teammates and coaches is well deserved. >> and sean livingston told me after the game, yes, they are grateful to be going to their fourth straight nba finals. they are also exhausted, but klay thompson pointed out, we now have home court advantage

>> abc7 news was in daly city where dick's sporting goods reopened after the warriors win in houston tonight. fans were lined up to pickup their warriors nba finals gear for the fourth year in a row. hats and t-shirts are already flying off the shelves. and fans are predicting a big win over the cleveland cavaliers in the finals. >> without lebron playing the whole game, yeah, the warriors will take them. that's my prediction. >> dick's will also open tomorrow morning at 6:00 for you early risers out there. >> all right. here's the schedule for the finals right here on abc7. game one is thursday at oracle arena. game two sunday, the series then moves to cleveland for games 3 and 4 wednesday and friday of next week. if necessary, game 5 would be back at oracle on june 11 and games 6 and 7 would be thursday, june 14th and sunday june 17th. >> and abc7 is the only place you can watch the nba finals presented by youtube tv as we mentioned, game one thursday at oracle. we'll have a pregame show at

5:00 and abc coverage starts friday with tip off at 6:00. >> several bay area cities experience their warm est day so far this year. let's take a live look outside. our warm weather will continue tomorrow. let's check in with meteorologist drew tuma in for sandhya patel. hi, drew. >> hi, alma. yeah, we soared into the 80s and 90s. it was a warm afternoon. and we're hanging on to some of that warmth tonight. highs today, hot across the board no matter where you live. out the door tomorrow morning it will be a mild start. sunny skies, we are all starting in the 50s if not close to 60 degrees in some inland cities. future tracker temperatures midday, well into the 70s and 80s if not close to 90 in some of our warm est spots tomorrow. it's sue hot day on the way tomorrow, but by wednesday major changes do arrive. we'll have all the details in that full accuweather forecast in a few minutes. >> we'll see you then, drew. thank you. two teenagers were taken to the hospital after a surf rescue

at ocean beach in happened that happened before 5:00. the san francisco fire department received a call of two teenage girls in distress. the girls had already been pulled out of the water when rescuers got to the scene. medics were able to determine the two will be okay. >> a firefighter was air lifted to a sacramento burn center after he was hurt while battling a blaze at a beloved lake county market. this afternoon's fire in middletown gutted harvesters market and hardware store. a witness sent this video showing flames consuming the entire store. it is believed to be a total loss. the market had been serving customers since 1943. >> we now know the names of the two people killed in a plane crash in petaluma yesterday afternoon. the sister of the pilot identifies them as richard and sue bristo of carmichael outside of sacramento. richard worked as a real estate agent. a witness tells abc7 news the van's rv 6 airplane was maybe 800 feet in the air when the engine back fired and the plane suddenly banked to the right as if it was trying to return to

the airport but instead it rapidly went down. >> starbucks is following through on its promise to close 8,000 stores tomorrow afternoon so employees can undergo racial bias training. abc7 news kate larson has the story. >> reporter: signs up at starbucks explaining stores will be closing early tuesday for racial bias and diversity training. the half day closure was announce the after this video of police arrested two black men in a philadelphia starbucks in april caused outrage. the staff called 911 after the men who didn't buy anything asked to use the rest room while they waited for a friend. those two men told abc's robin roberts they want to see long-term change. >> it's not just a black people thing. this is a people thing. and that's exactly what we want to see out of this. that's true change. >> how far can they change in one afternoon of training? >> reporter: marcy a is visiting from london. news about the philly arrest made its way across the pond. >> i guess it's a good thing they're trying to change

when the worst oil spill hit san francisco, first responders went to work. and mayor gavin newsom, he went to hawaii. man: newsome left the day after the spill for a four-day vacation in hawaii. the same gavin who said his job as lieutenant governor was so dull, he only showed up for work at the state capitol one day a week, tops. gavin's not gonna work as governor.

before landing on the florida coast today, alberto drenched cuba and two people are lucky to be alive. watch on the right-hand side of your screen. you can see two people trying to cross a bridge. those rapids rushing below when that bridge just collapses. the two people on the bridge were able to flee just in time before being swept away. two television journalists passed away tonight while they were covering the hazardous weather on the east coast. news anchor mike mccormick and photographer aaron smeltser were reporting on weather conditions in polk county, north carolina when a tree fell on their news van. an nbc affiliate wiff said mike and aaron were beloved members of our team, our family. >> states of emergency have been declared for florida, alabama and mississippi because of the storm. and in maryland, one community

is facing its second devastating flash flood in two years. abc7 news reporter danya bacchus has the latest. >> reporter: the official start of the hurricane season is a few days away, but subtropical storm alberto is already bringing heavy downpours and powerful winds to the gulf coast. the storm making land fall monday afternoon, its outer band spouting a tornado outside port saint lucy. sending this trampoine into the air. florida's governor warning residents. >> be very, very, very careful out there. if you're needing to travel, make sure you're cautious about that. >> reporter: and in maryland -- >> people trapped. there's people in every building. >> reporter: flood waters once again ripping through ellicott city. more than 8 inches of rain falling in three hours. 300 people were rescued. a couple dozen from high danger situations. and tonight -- >> just swept him away. >> reporter: the search continues for 39-year-old maryland national guards man edison har mond who went missing

after helping a woman find her cat during the flood. this is being called a thousand-year storm, but it is the second one in two years. local officials say this one was worse than 2016. many businesses were just recovering. >> we are going to rebuild. we've been down this road. we know the story and we're rebuilding. >> reporter: danya bacchus, abc news, los angeles. >> all plastic products, swabs, cutlery, has to be approved with all member states. it would force countries to add a fee for plastic food, containers and cups. berkeley and san francisco have both proposed bans on single use plastics in hopes of reducing the amount of plastics in landfills. >> all right. time to turn to our weather which definitely is heating up. >> it is indeed. we saw blue skies today. we'll seem them tomorrow, but what happens after that, drew tuma? >> eric and alma, one more day

of this very warm air and then everything comes crashing down on wednesday. live doppler 7 tonight, it's clear as could be. enjoyed a ton of sunshine earlier today. and we have starry skies out there up above tonight. the picture outside, a beautiful one. a live look from our rooftop studio here at kgo along the embarcadero in san francisco. moonlit skies from this vantage point. full moon occurring tomorrow evening. accuweather highlight showing tomorrow it is another sunny and rather warm afternoon on the way again for our temperatures, especially inland. turning much cooler, though, wednesday into thursday. those temperatures are going to come crashing down. but do not worry. if you love the warm weather, we're going to warm right back up by friday and into the upcoming weekend. numbers out there right now, we're holding on to some of that warmth we had earlier today. still 71 right now in concord, 69 in san jose, a comfortable 60 in oakland. we're down to 59 in san francisco. and napa checking in at 61 degrees. so, here's the call. over the next 12 hours, it will be a rather mild night out

there. some spots will hold in the lower 60s under clear skies. most of us on the bay shoreline dropping into the mid if not upper 50s for your starting temperatures on your tuesday. so, your 12-hour day planner, the only issue you have early on tomorrow morning is bad sun glare. it's sunshine from start to finish. midday already warming up rather quickly away from the coast into the 70s and into the 80s. and by 4:00 once again in the afternoon, it will be warm. 80s and 90s the name of the game in our warm est spots once again. so, tomorrow 75 in oakland tomorrow afternoon. it's warm in the south bay. 81 is for san jose. san francisco a little bit of an afternoon sea breeze kicking in. 69 your high tomorrow, 83 in santa rosa. 80 at the high in fairfield and 80 the high in palo alto. if you're lucky enough to hit the beaches tomorrow, a nice beach day. not as warm as it was today, but tomorrow mid 60s to lower 70s. a lot of sunshine out there. the uv index running high. ocean water temperature still chilly at 55 degrees. then the change occurs on

wednesday. future tracker temperatures much cooler air moves in here. look at that, we wipe away the 80s and the 90s. more like 60s and 70s by wednesday afternoon. in here on thursday where some cities thursday afternoon are even going to struggle to get out of the 60s. even thursday morning we may have a little bit of coastal drizzle to deal with. we have a lot of changes the next couple days. the accuweather seven-day forecast, the warmth is going to hold on here tomorrow. lots of sunshine in the afternoon. wednesday the marine layer returns. it's a sharp cool down. we're talking 60s and 70s. thursday some morning drizzle but even cooler air arrives. if you're heading to oracle for game one going to want to have the jacket with you. it will be cool as you enter and exit the arena. friday we're warming right back up. temperatures go right babbling to t -- back to the 70s and 80s. nothing but sunshine the first week of june. wouldn't be surprised if sunday and monday a couple 90s pop back

the accolades keep coming in for the immigrant nicknamed the french spiderman. he pulled himself from balcony to balcony to save the life of a 4-year-old boy who was dangling from a paris apartment building. he will be made a naturalized citizen of france for his act and he was also offered a job as a firefighter. the 22-year-old migrated to france last year in search of work. paris's mayor called him an

resigning at halftime because the warriors were so bad in the game against the rockets in the early going. he's still very much employed. they discovered their mojo in the third quarter. andre iguodala out with a knee injury. james harden three plus, klay thompson, his third foul in 3 1/2 minutes. he had to go to the bench. second quarter it's harden. steal, easy finish. warriors had ten turnovers at the half. they were dreadful. four seconds before halftime. how about a little defense? no, eric gordon coast to coast. rockets up 11 at the break. to the third quarter, this is the warriors' time. durant a tough jumper. jordan bell, fancy. between the legs. steph curry three. then steph from way downtown again. he had 14 of his 27 in the third quarter. dubs somehow up 7 in a flash. chris paul frustrated. at one point the rockets missed 27 straight three's while durant was bombing away.

dubs won the third quarter 33-15. steph, step back. they're rolling now. clay from the corner, looked like a three. foot on the line, it was a two. he had 19 then durant playing eye sew ball down the stretch when the warriors needed baskets. he was unstoppable. 34 for him. warriors win 101-92. warriors on to the finals again against cleveland the fourth straight year with lebron. here's abc7's mindy bach. >> warriors scored 19 points in the first quarter. in the first half they had ten turnovers, three for eight from the free flow line and allowed rockets to have ten steals. that is not the stat line, that typically ends with the team advancing to the nba finals. >> it was really one of the most bizarre first halves of basketball we've played since i've been here. we were so scattered. every part of the game plan went out the window in the first 45 seconds basically. >> we showed a lot of fight, lot of grit.
