couple. >> this incident happened saturday at this apartment complex. it began when the couple honked at a black jetta blocking an trance. the driver reversed, rolled down his window, spit at the couple and pulled out knives and threatened to stab them to death. he took off but the couple took a picture. residents at the complex say they're concerned. >> we think it's a safe place. but in some uber driver comes here, we think he might be here to pick someone and we won't suspect. >> it's really scary. it's a gated community. i opted to stay here because it's safer relatively. >> uber has suspended the driver. he started driving for the company four months ago. uber eats is uber's food delivery platform. president trump is expected

to receive a personal letter from north korean leader kim jong-un. it's unclear what's in the letter but we have a hint. this morning kim jong-un reconfirmed his commitment to the denuclearization of the korean peninsula. there's no official announcement on whether the summit will even take plaps on june 12th. president trump says it may take several meetings to work this out. you can see what san jose firefighters had to deal with on loomis drive near highway 101. a pretty large house for. it started in a back yard. winds pushed it in the home. san jose fire officials tell our media partner "the mercury news" that an aggressive response by firefighters kept flames from spreading to nearby homes. four people are displaced. fortunately no one was hurt. you're never more than seven minutes away from my accuweather forecast. if you're waking up in san francisco, we've got chilly weather here. look at the sunset. sunny side, lake merced and ocean beach. as you head towards the bay, we hit the low 50s.

forecast, we go from winter to spring to summer in about three days. and then we fall back to average temperatures with morning clouds and afternoon sunshine starting monday. >> we've got quite a few issues to talk about. more details on the crash in the fremont area. it started on southbound 680, a vehicle reported speeding, lost control, flipped over the center divide and landed in the northbound lanes. the two left lanes are blocked northbound. no lanes blocked southbound. it looks like a lot of folks stopping to take a look at this. that vehicle was basically over on top of that center divide. we've got major jaguars reported. this is likely going to be there a while. we're seeing heavy traffic in both directions. also, still trying to bounce back northbound and southbound 880 approaching 23rd. we had overnight road work that wrapped ten to 15 minutes ago. those delays are heavy around, especially heavy on the northbound side. 580 works fine for an alternate.

shotgun, handwritten notes and digital data. there is a lot of gratefulness here at california high school that a student came forward. he says the freshman was trying to recruit him, but he reported him to resource officers. administrators here commended that student for coming forward. they have arrested the teenager who was planning the attack. they have not released his name because he is a juvenile. according to the report, he wanted to carry out his attack on the same day as the columbine attack, april 20th, in 2021. live in san ramon, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. zuckerberg san francisco general hospital implementing security changes after a woman's body was found in a stairwell. 75-year-old ruby lee anderson lived at a residential care facility on the hospital's campus. she went missing may 20th. it's not known how long she had been in that stairwell of the hospital's power planted. it is protocol to search every

hospital building if a patient is reported missing. the power plant wasn't searched because anderson wasn't considered a patient. no badge was needed to get into that building during certain hours. the hospital has now instituted a 24/7 security badge access policy. >> we may find out today whether san francisco police chief william scott will leave us and return to los angeles to become the new chief of lapd. chief scott is reportedly one of three finalists now for the job. in early may rumors began swirling he may be a candidate for lapd's top job after its police chief charlie beck announced his retirement at the end of the year. mayor eric garcetti has thad interviews with all three of the finalists. defense attorneys, prosecutors and media representatives spent hours yesterday hashing out what the public will be allowed to see. they are pouring over arrests

major industry shutdown this morning. overnight they made steps towards avoiding a major strike. in fact, just a short while ago, we got word the union there reached a deal with caesar's entertainment. it's good news for tourists. you may be heading out there this weekend. a union contract actually expired at midnight and it had tens of thousands of workers threatening a strike including baggage handlers, maids and cooks, still in talk with other hotels including mgm, the other big player there in las vegas. a citywide strike in las vegas is very costly. a 30-day strike would cost nearly $300 million. they're trying to avoid that. reggie, back to you. >> thank you, jessica. . north bay fire victims will get little if any help from the state legislature because of a full frontal assault by the insurance industry. two bills that would have helped fire victims who are underinsured fell victim to powerful lobbying. one bill would have made

insurance companies pay out at least 80% of the maximum limit under a homeowner's personal property coverage without requiring policy owners to itemize their losses, and the bill was a response to local fire survivors who argued that compiling a list of items proved too burdensome and traumatic. google is blaming wikipedia for the search results that said the ideology of the california republican party includes naziism. a search of change records shows the terminate siism was added to the wikipedia entry twice in the last week before being taken down. google quickly moved the section on ideology calling the change vandalism. state republican leaders called it a disgrace and said google and wikipedia need to take more ownership of what is published on their sites. the warriors team is warning fans not to fall for ticket scams. the warriors say last year fraudulent sales jumped 70% during the finals.
