turning white as we see the smoke. that's a good sign. firefighters are getting a better handle on the fire. when we got here, huge black smoke. you can see from the live shot here that that appears to be a scrap metal processing area. the fire appears to be burning in the area that's processed metal. there are junk cars on the other side. it is very toxic material that's been burning. firefighters have three or four water lines right now and use ago bulldozer to break apart the pile. look at the video and the it appears to be near the steel.. whaert supply has been a problem. there's only one hydrant in the area. they asked for alameda fired and san francisco and scrap metals from cars are filled with toxic
