live in san jose. hi, matt. >> reporter: good morning, reggie and natasha. apple doesn't do anything small. check out the big line we've got here at 4:30 in the morning. check out the convention center. the sign up there says it all. a worldwide developers conference for 2018. one of the big things expected to be announced today is something that will have them use their apple product less. it will include a digital help feature. ios 12 could have help you set limits for times spent on certain apps. they're expected to announce updates to the watch and tv operating systems. siri could be a big focus as well. could make announcements of enhancing home pod as they try to open up siri to new domains and developers. this five-day event kicks off with the keynote address, likely to be ceo tim cook.

matt keller, abc 7 news. happening today, a modesto man accused of a san francisco terror plot will return to federal court to possibly enter a guilty plea. we reported in april court documents show edward jamieson will complete guilty after telling fbi agents of his plan to use pipe bombs and guns to kill tourists. a bold statement from president trump's lawyer rudy giuliani. he says the president's power so broad, the president could have shot former fbi director james comey and not be prosecuted. he would likely be impeached for ill leet c has t power to pardon himself. those comments came after "the

is recovering from what appears to be a rattle snake bite. she was rescued by helicopter from a camp down on mt. diablo. leslie brinkley has her story. >> reporter: a birthday being celebrated on the sloefs of mt. diablo. other campers said they saw a tent pitched and a group of eight people enjoying the warm evening. a few took a hike in adjacent rock city. at sunset, there were sirens. >> we were just making dinner here and suddenly we saw the helicopters flying around. we saw quite a few ambulances and fire trucks and some police cars coming here. >> reporter: park superintendent ryan goring confirmed by phone a 13-year-old girl was bitten by a snake as she hiked with friends. she said she put her hands on some rocks, a snake emerged and bit her. her hand started swelling.

emergency responders treated it as a rattle snake bite. she was still hospitalized there and recovering now. >> that is really sad and shocking. that's really sad. >> does it make you think differently about camping here with your family? >> absolutely aomesiturnd we have to be really careful. >> reporter: rangers say they've seen more rattle snakes out and about than usually, recently had to relocate a few found at trails and camp sites. one bit a hiker on mt. tam last month. watch where you butt your feet and hands while hiking and stay on the trails. i'm leslie brinkley anews. san jose bringing out the past and present today to campaign for support of a multibillion dollar regional measure three.

let's talk about san francisco. 56 at 8:00. we'll hang around 59 from 10:00 and noon. about 59 at 6:00 and 56, definitely jacket weather this evening. warmer in the south bay. 63 at 8:00, 70 at 10:00. mid 70s from about 11:00 to 5:00, down to 64 at 8:00. you'll definitely notice the difference developing this evening. 61 at 8:00 in the north bay to 78 at noon to low 80s. notice how quickly we drop off when the sea breeze starts to reach all neighborhoods. even the north baby 8:00 as we dip down to 66 degrees. if you like the cooler weather, i think you'll like the next couple days of my accuweather seven-day forecast. we have issues this morning. >> we have a couple of crashes to talk about. want to head back to the milpitas area. we were seeing heavier traffic on the northbound side. chp initially was saying

battling the disease. welcome news to those who experienced it. >> i had nausea. i also lost my hair. >> it felt like the worst flu i had ever had times ten. and you have absolutely no energy. >> reporter: the study used a gene test done on tumors to help decide whether a woman would benefit from chemo or could receive hormone therapy. using this test, researchers found chemotherapy did not had any benefit in survival rates or reoccurrence for most women. researchers say some women, 50 and younger in high-risk groups might still need chemo. >> this is for the woman at intermediate risk for the cancer to recur. we used to say for that group of women in terms of chemotherapy, better safe than sorry. this trial using this type of genetic test lets us say to those women you will do fine without chemotherapy and spare all of the stuff that comes along with that. >> reporter: maggie rulli, abc news, new york. if you recently bought a

concert ticket from ticket fly, watch out. a data breach leaked personal information of 26 million users. right now the website is off-line. if you logon, you'll see a message from the company saying it's working to bring the site back up as soon as possible. customers names, addresses, e-mails and phone numbers were stolen. a wandering alligator took on the unlikely role of outdoor decorator in florida. security camera footage shows what happened. the five to six-foot gator got tangled up with heavy patio furniture and then pushed it towards the door that led to the house. homeowners actually didn't waelk up during this whole thing. it happened at 1:40 in the morning. their dog didn't wake up either. satisfied with that redecorating? the gator ambled off to try his hand at other houses or simply go back to the swamp. >> that's so funny. >> a risk you take in florida.

near 60 at the coast with a breeze picking up near the lunch hour. 66 in downtown, some of our warmer spots. 76 in san rafael. then 79 in petaluma. vallejo at about 78. upper 60s because of the breezes in richmond and berkeley. as you move inland, you may need the air conditioner one more time, especially if you leave the house closed up all day today, come home and it's 81 in san ramon, but 88 in brentwood. let's take a look at tonight. notice the cloud cover climbing over the peninsula, through the bay, over the east bay hills inland. that's a sign that really things are going to start getting cooler. upper 40s to mid 50s tomorrow. let's take a look. there you go, 50s, 60s and 70s for tuesday, wednesday and thursday. then a little bit warmer but nothing too extreme for friday, saturday and sunday. alexis, what are you watching? >> a bit of a rough start on the

roads. i want to head to the milpitas area. the backup continues to grow on northbound 680 approaching jacklyn road. all lanes are blocked as far as we know. we haven't gotten new information from chp. they're trying to get at least two tow trucks to the scene. southbound 680 starting to see stop-and-go traffic. we had a deadly crash overnight, all lanes for that collision have reopened. next traffic update coming up just before 5:00. get ready to pay more to fly. ceo of american airlines tells reuters a surge in oil prices may force ticket fares up. the pride of crude is up 53% this year. that's making jet fuel more expensive. carriers are absorbing the increases for now, but may be forced to start cutting flights if fuel prices don't come down. fewer flights will mean higher ticket prices for you and me. a big deal in the tech world could be announced today.

the dogs find homes. >> muttville found homes for 26 rescue dogs on saturday alone. that is four times the usual amount. warms the heart. you're never more than seven minutes away from my accuweather forecast. i'll start with walnut creek. you are going to be one of the big losers today, if you will. it may not be a bad thing, when you drop from 99 degrees yesterday to 83 degrees, a lot more comforted out there. you can see places like san francisco, down to 66 today, hayward down to 73. san jose, novato and redwood city in the mid to upper 70s. the sea breeze is back. this morning it's pretty calm out there unless you're near the coast. by noon we start to pick up double digit winds. they start pushing in the 15, 25, 30-mile-per-hour gusts during the afternoon and evening hours. they will drop a little bit overnight. tonight they're going to bring moisture with it. more cloud cover and cooler conditions. i'm show you that coming up.
