three hiking tolls on the san mateo and six other bay area bridges by $3 over six years. katie uetz is alive with that at the alameda registrar office in oakland. katie. >> regional measure three is being voted on by nine bay area counties. we all have an opinion on driving. speaking of which here in alameda they've made it easy to place the poolt with the drive through drop stop along fallon street near lake merit. measure three is a proposed toll increase of $3 for the bay area 7 state-ownedance bridges. the money would fund transportation projects with emphasis on mass transit it would would raise $4.5 billion. it it would incur $1 at a time over a span of several years. saying it would relieve barj congestion. those opposed say alameda and contra costa would carry the burden while the south bay would

west but pay less. another closely watched race in alameda county is that for district attorney. where we have an incumbent and political newcomer. that incumbent being district attorney current district attorney nancy omaly on the ballot again. she was the first woman elected to the position in alameda county and she served ten years. her challenger is civil rights attorney pamela price. price came to prominence you may recall in the bay area when she was representing the teenager at the center of a sex scandal involving police agencies across the east bay. now both the dachel's race and regional measure three could be decided in the primaries. the issues just need a simple majority vote to pass. and/or to win. and the polls we could expect early returns as early as 8:00 tonight. live in oklahoma, it it ekatie utis abc 7. >> drone view 7 took these pictures of san francisco. voters could make history in the race for mayor. >> these are the eight people running. seven democrats one republican.

the winner will serve the remaining term of the late mayor ed lee. >> abc 7 news reporter lyanne melendez is live in the city with a lowser look at candidates that would be history making if elected lyanne. >> reporter: that's right. if mark leno wins he will be the first openly gay man mayor of san francisco. and i've heard people say that at stage, dan that's really not that relevant. so instead leno has focused on other very important issues. his slogan habits time to shake up city hall. now he has promised to end homelessness by the year 2020. he is big on providing health for those homeless people with mental and drug issues. a big talk this year for all candidates has been building more affordable housing in san francisco. and leno comes with a lot of experience. he served as a supervisor in san francisco then moved on to be an assemblymen and then state senator. who can forget the other person

lifted in sonoma county. for people living near a wooden pallet factory that caught fire this afternoon. the blaze broke out at sonoma pacific company in shellville, the sam palette business that purnd in a massive fire five years ago. wayne wide friedman joins us live from the scene. >> reporter: we're fortunate there were no injuries. over here you can see the white smoke. but the fire department says it's not much of a threat. you should have seen it earlier. the fire breck out just before 1:00 p.m. in the sonoma pacific company manufacturing wooden pal et cetera. that explains the high flame. but on the bottom right of the screen what proved to be the real threat a large propane tank. this is the movement that it blew. let's look again in slow motion. the shell vista fire department
