result in longer sentences for drug offenses. diane and kendis. >> all right, interesting, janai norman from d.c., thanks, janai. the adult film star stormy daniels has filed a lawsuit against her former attorney accusing him of secretly colluding with president trump's lawyer, michael cohen. daniels claims keith davidson was a puppet for the president conspiring with cohen to get her to appear on fox news and deny an affair with trump. the interview never tack place but her current attorney says there are text messages that prove there was an exchange between davidson and cohen as they tried to schedule that fox interview. a justice department watchdog is criticizing former fbi director james comey saying he defied authority when he was running the bureau. now, that's according to the draft of an upcoming report from the inspector general that criticized comey's decision to announce the re-opening of the hillary clinton e-mail investigation 11 days before the election. sources say the draft also reveals a senior justice department official had urged comey not to make that

announcement saying it would violate policy. the draft concludes comey defied authority more than once and one source says it describes comey's behavior as insubordinate. >> a new sense of the scale of the disaster in guatemala after that deadly volcano eruption. some of the youngest victims are now arriving in the united states for medical treatment as hope begins to fade in the search for more survivors. this morning, six children injured in the guatemala volcano disaster arriving in south texas. all of them in critical condition. doctors say they'll likely undergo surgery this morning at the hospital in galveston where the staff specializes in burn treatment. doctors and nurses from the hospital landed in guatemala city just 24 hours after the volcano erupted. they determined the six kids most in need for treatment in the u.s. this comes as the death toll rises in guatemala to at least 99. >> don't get out? >> reporter: this woman lost 13

members of her own family including her two young children. the man next to her said the pastor of his church lost 18 relatives. nearly 200 are missing including norma's mother, father and two sons. [ speaking a foreign language ] >> she just wants help finding her family. >> reporter: she has nowhere to live, she says and among the missing some of the rescuers who ran toward the eruption. abc's victor oquendo explains. >> these volunteer firefighters are working searching for two firefighters who haven't been seen since sunday. you can feel the heat coming off the ground. >> reporter: this dog pulled from the ashes. just a small sign of hope. the hospital in galveston is hoping in the meantime, to send nurses and doctors back to guatemala to bring more injured children to texas. we're hearing from the man who was shot when an fbi agent's gun misfired inside a denver

bar. 29-year-old agent chase bishop was dancing when he did a backflip causing his gun to fall to the floor and when he went to pick it up it went off. tom reddington was hit in the leg and said he didn't even realize he had been shot. >> i heard a loud bang and i thought, oh, some idiot set off a firecracker. i don't know why but i see some brown residue so still thinking it was a firework. all of a sudden my -- from the knee down became completely red. and that's when it clicked in my head, oh, i've been shot. >> he says he doesn't blame the agent for what happened but would like to talk to him about it. the fbi promised bishop will be held accountable. time for a look at your weather on this thursday morning. a powerful tornado tournamented down outside laramie, wyoming, during the evening commute. the national weather service says the twister was on the ground, for get this, at least 45 minutes but so far no reports

we're back now with this dramatic rescue in anderson, south carolina. that was a mother dropping her baby out a window. luckily her neighbor safely caught the boy. you can see those flames rushing out of the apartment complex. the mother then jumped to safety just a little while later. the fire department is blaming that fire on unattended cooking and they say someone then opened the door which fueled the fire and made it grow so quickly. the state department has evacuated at least two more americans from china suffering from that same mysterious sound related illness that affected diplomats in cuba. an american medical team is now in china conducting tests on diplomats and their families. the affected americans described hearing strange sounds followed by the inability to sleep and severe headaches. the husband of fashion designer kate spade says her suicide came as a complete shock telling "the new york times" she sounded happy the night before her death. andy spade says his wife was on medication and seeing a doctor

for severe depression but he denies reports of alcohol abuse. he says they were living apart but were still close as they raised their daughter and he says they never discussed divorce. spade adds that he still has not seen the suicide note described in the press. a first of its kind decision in hawaii could have ripple effects on people who use uber and lyft across the country. honolulu city council has passed a measure that limits so-called surge pricing for ride sharing companies. now, the fares can't be higher than the maximum that is set by the city and the head of the city council says the billing assures customers won't have to pay unreasonable prices. 260,000 workers at u.p.s. have taken their first steps towards a strike. they've authorized a walkout if they can't get a new contract. the current deal expires july 31st. talks have centered on wages, benefits and work conditions. the university of washington men's basketball coach is thanking fans in a very special
