crash. no word if the driver will face charges. live in sunol, matt keller, abc 7 news. investigators trying to determine the cause of a house fire in san jose. it left three people without a place to live. officials say the fire started at a home on westbury drive. it quickly spread to the home. three cars destroyed in the garage. two other cars in the driveway were also damaged. firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to two nearby homes. it's 4:30. a quick update on weather and traffic starting with meteorologist mike nicco. >> let's talk about the winds. notice how they're much calmer than the earlier parts of this week. 18 in fairfield. that's going to lead to warmer weather today. in fact, you can tell when you step outside the lack of clouds. that's one side and those lack of breezes is another side. temperatures getting back to average.

how about mid 50s, 53 to 56 at 7:00. notice at noon the clouds i just showed you near the coast will be starting to ramp up and bump into the coast. that's why you're in the 50s, the rest of us in the low to mid 70s, almost as warm as yesterday. by 4:00, back where we should be. mid to upper 70s around the bay and inland. this evening really comfortable. it's going to be a little chilly, 57, but still near 70 degrees at 7:00. let's turn it over to alexis and see what else is going on. >> looking live at walnut creek camera. southbound 680, no delays for folks heading towards 24 to connect towards the bay bridge or continuing south to the south bay. looking good on both routes there. not seeing any issues. also looking good on our drive times. slight delays tracy to dublin. a first drive time in the yellow, but only 40 minutes. monday through thursday we're closer to an hour along that stretch. looking good this morning.

southbound 680 dublin to mission boulevard in the green at 14. northbound 85, 101 to cupertino wide open. i do want to get back to the breaking news we're traching this morning. tv personality nant bourdain has died. cnn reporting it was by suicide. i mentioned earlier he was wildly popular for his show "parts unknown." i want to read this statement we have from the network. they are saying it was an ex-with extraordinary sadness we confirm the death of our colleague. his love of great adventure, fine friends, food and drink and remarkable stories around the world made him a unique storyteller. we'll miss him very much. bourdain was in france working on an upcoming episode. a friend reportedly found him in his hotel room. of course, this just late breaking news as we start our

per hour and was following a slower car. the model x stopped following the lead car and after the crash accelerated from 62 to 70.8 miles per hour into the safety barrier. the vehicle didn't detect hands on the steering wheel in the six seconds before the crash. the i-team's dan noyes has a number of reports about that tesla crash on abc7news.com. click on sections and i-team. a shooting at san francisco general forced the emergency room into lockdown. take a look at this. the shooting happened near treat and caesar chavez. >> san francisco energy department became a crime scene when several shooting victims showed up in their own cars to the hospital. deputies had to draw their weapons after one of their drivers initially refused to get out of one of those cars.

the shooting took place a mile from the hospital at a housing complex on cesar chavez and treat way. three men all in their 20s were shot. they found one man at the scene who later died. the medical examiner says his name is >> we're investigating to see what they know. looking for surveillance footage, trying to find anything we can to help us. >> the bernard dwelling apartments have been the scene of many shootings over the years. they are hoping to track down whoever is responsible for this most recent shooting. in san francisco, kate larsen, abc 7 news. a santa rose woman is recovering from a hip injury after being gored by a

she was treated and released at a nearby hospital according to the santa rosa press democrat. a woman was killed after a shooting in san francisco's excelsior district. it happened after 11:00 a.m. near mission street on santa rosa avenue. the woman was rushed to the hospital where she died three hours later. no arrests have been made. 4:36, guilty on all five charges. a richmond man could face 20 years in prison for hacking online newspapers in the bay area. a jury convicted 35-year-old ross colby this week. he hacked several websites including palo alto weekly, mountain view voice and pleasanton weekly. colby will be sentenced in september. this morning he's free on $50,000 bail. you're never more than seven minutes away from my accuweather forecast. look at the temperatures around san francisco, from 51 in the

sunset to sunny side to about 55 degrees coming through the ferry building. 54 in the financial, castro and the mission, park presidio at 53 degrees. here is a look at the western side of the bay bridge. looks clear and it is. the only thing breezes again will be pretty stout. they'll start earlier at about 9:00 this morning. if you're one of those late commuters, watch out for that. mass transit cool this morning, we'll have warm spots this afternoon. one of those is down in the south bay. 59 at 8:00, 66 at 10:00. mid 70s all the way from noon through about 6:00 at about 67 this evening. let's head into our east bay valleys. the 80s are back. you'll start to feel those around 1:00 through about 5:00. 77 at noon and 72 at 8:00 this evening. we've got the peninsula where we're going to break out of the 60s for the first time in a while. 58 at 8:00, sunny and 67 at noon, hanging out in the low 70s from 1:00 to 5:00 and back to
