like really springtime. 58 in vallejo, 61 novato, and by 9:00, the clouds already clearing from the north bay and by 2:00, we're in the 60s and 70s. it is sunny, but windy to breezy around the bay area. temperatures well below average. and we'll look at a bit of a warm-up for the second half of the weekend coming up in a few minutes. final seconds here of the 2018 nba season. there is the buzzer. there is a new dynasty. warriors champ i don't understand once again. >> a dub nation celebration with more celebrations ahead today and tuesday. dub nation is celebrating a third nba championship in four years after the warriors swept the cavaliers. it is the first back to back titles in franchise history and six overall. steph curry led the way with 37 point, bouncing back from a tough offensive night in game three. kevin durant was named finals mvp for the second year in a

row. everyone said this season was by far the most exhausting mentally and physically. so this championship means a lot more. >> just have to keep getting better. i have to prove to myself that i picked the right career as a kid. i think i got a lot more to go. so just trying to prove to myself that i can stay in it for the long haul, hopefully continue to have success and keep growing as a player. >> we've been through a lot this year, injuries and, you know, the 82 game kind of -- a coaster ride. and so nothing was easy about this ride. >> i think what happened is once we got through houston, our guys finally see finish line. for most of the season, they were looking at their watches and their calendars like when are we getting to the playoffs.

dibs wrap up another title. ♪ we are the champions >> the confetti fell from the ceiling as nearly 20,000 fans celebrated the win. they each paid $20 a ticket for the experience. a portion of last night's proceeds go to aeg oakland community foundation and the warriors community foundation. the event was just like a home game minus the players on the court of course. from the food and drinks to the junior jam squad and warriors dancers performing. for the young est fans, it is something completely new. >> have you ever seen anything like this? >> they are going to go all the year next year one more time. a fourth. more rings. >> many fans lined up at the warriors team store for championship gear. it will be back open today at 7:00 a.m. oracle arena wasn't the only place where fans celebrated the warriors victory. there was another watch party in

love in the air at an outdoor venue in concord where dubs fans gathered to watch the epic game four. here is leslie brinkley. >> reporter: 1,000 people wached the game, a lot of excitement especially when the warriors won. ♪ this crowd all part of the warriors east bay tribe. among these rowdy believers were warrior dogs, a warrior duck, and warrior princesses who were flipping out over game four. this is the third year that the city of concord has hosted a warriors watch party for game four in the plaza. a perfect night weather-wise. and this one was special. >> it was easy to beat the cavs. that's all we need to do is start sweeping. warriors have announced the victory parade will be on tuesday in oakland at 11:00 a.m. more than a million fans are expected once again. the route will be a little shorter than last year. it starts at broadway and 11th turning right on 20th and then right on harrison to 19th, and then right on lakeside drive ending on oak and 13th. this time around though, theremd there won't be a rally at the end. fans can begin lin lining up at0 a.m. taking b.a.r.t. might be your best bet. the agency is getting ready for a pretty busy day on tuesday. b.a.r.t. estimates its busiest hours that day will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from noon to 2:00 p.m. when people start leaving. on the day of last year's parade, b.a.r.t. carried more than a half million people. that was the fifth highest ridership day in the history of the agency. you can also buy a clipper card now to avoid lines at the ticket machines. we have all the information you need to know about the victory parade on abc7news.com

good morning. time is 5:11. we're taking a live look outside from our abc 7 explore toatoriu camera. the tower is lit up in gold and blue. not much gold, but you can see the blue certainly. and that is because of the fog that we're seeing. oh, changing colors right there on your screen. we are waking up to some fog and drizzle throughout the bay area. lisa argen will return in a bit to let us know how long that will stick around. developing news out of san francisco where police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in north beach that left a man in life threatening condition. tlis say t police say two officers were chasing a suspect when the suspect was hit by gunfire. witnesses say it happened outside the taupe lounge. the incident prompted a large police response and firearm was recovered at the scene. the suspect is being treated at the hospital. no officers were injured. right now it is unclear what the

suspect was wanted for. equipment was responsible for 12 wildfires in the north bay last october. it was the worst fire in california history. not included was the tubs fire that hit santiago rosa. t santa rose. the results aren't out yet. one of the 12 was atlas in nap if a napa county. melanie wood row has that story. >> reporter: pat remembers being in an >> it was scary. >> reporter: and it burned more than 51,000 acres and destroyed nearly 800 structures. six people died. cal fire investigate torts determined the fire started in two locations, at one location a tree limb came into contact with a power line. at a second location, a tree fell into the same line.

in an e-mailed statement, senator bill dodd said i'm calling on pg and e utilities across the state and the public utilities commission to step up and ensure that they are meeting their legal obligations to maintain power lines in a safe manner. pg and e says it will carefully review the reports. based on 9 information so far, we continue to believe our overall programs met our state's high standards. >> it is really up to the district attorney to look at the reports that our investigators submit and then they will determine the amount of, you know, liability. >> reporter: this attorney's client lost his home. >> when you do wrong, you take accountability for it. and you neighboring right. >> reporte make it right. >> reporter: the county does not comment on matters of ongoing or pending litigation. quote, our focus remains on the ongoing recovery efforts to rebuild the napa county

community. melanie woodrow, abc 7 news. there is a scathing report on preparedness and response during the north bay wildfires. it found that the public warning systems technology is outdated and does not meet the public's expectations. the management program and emergency operations center were understaffed and those on the job were often not properly trained. the report says that the staff lacked situational awareness impacting response and coordination. each issue has a recommended solution that supervisors will review on monday. this morning mark leno leads in the race for san francisco mayor by just 144 votes, a slim margin. that is about 100 fewer votes than thursday. the update shows mark leno with 50.04%. london breed is at 49.96%. this is after rank choice votes were counted. there are still tens of

thousands to count. a woman is in jail accused of deceiving men to steal their belongings and there could be more victims out there since this is not the first time she struck. here we go through the suspect's tracks. >> reporter: this is the woman investigators say lied to police about being a victim of domestic violence. they say sunmee kim called police to a mountain view home back in january accusing her fiance of physically assaulting her. but detectives say her story didn't add up. >> it was determined that the man that she claimed was her fiance was not involved in a romantic involvement with her, in fact they were just housemates. but also that he had not harmed her in any way. >> reporter: they say kim gave police a false name and that her story changed several times. when alleged abuser was released from jail, she was already gone with many of his belongings. mountain view police say this is not the first time kim has used an alias to tar get victims.

she was sentenced back in 2013 on a similar fraud case. she was arrested in palo alto for the outstanding warrant out of southern california. >> we are working with the district attorney to build you are on own case because we adamantly believe that there are other victims. >> reporter: police say also kim went on dating sites to find potential victims. your emotions in one word. >> that's three. that is two words. >> fans celebrated the sweep in san francisco cruising down mission street last night one fan popped out of the sun roof to wave a broom. this is just the 90s time an nba finals has ended in a sweep. a championship means no warriors gear. t-shirts, hats and more are on the hundred of fans lined up at dick's hours before the game even started.

certainly look like they will be i will proving as this weakens pushing out to the west. 58 degrees right now, around santa clara, 57 saratoga. rest of the bay area in the mid to upper 50s. but that certainly didn't tell the whole story. we have the breezy winds and in concord, the marine layer that is wringing out the moisture. santa cruz, you see how it looks. morning mist and drizzle, gusty and cooler. warmer but till brstill breezy tomorrow. so 7:00, winds at the coast and then as we go throughout on the day, notice over 35-mile-an-hour wind gusts here. above 25 miles per hour inside the bay. so we're looking at a breezy to windy day. and taking you through sunday, still quite windy at the coast. and then by the afternoon, 15 to 20-mile-per-hour winds. so not as windy, but the temperatures will come up as well.

the president says he will not invite this year's nba champions to the white house. president trump singled out steph curry and lebron james and their remarks that they expressed no interest in visiting the president. their comments came in response to questions about the president's decision to disinvite the super bowl champion philadelphia eagles to the white house. the warriors didn't visit last year either, but they did appear in 2015 when barack obama was president. maybe it was instincinstince intuiti intuition. a stray dog seemed to know exactly what do to save her new born puppies. david louie has the story. >> reporter: this mix is a proud mom of six rambunctious puppies. four female and two male. the mother was a stray and hungry as she tried to nurse her pup. her did he is per race prompted theory steal a slight of pizza.

it happened right here along the edge of the bay. a couple of workers were out here having lunch when suddenly the mother dog came up and snatched a slice of pizza.mother dog led an animal control officer to her litter nestled among the tall grass. puppies only a week old. that was in mid april. >> she had just been struggling to survive on the streets, really stealing whatever she could to eat and then to nurse her little puppies. >> reporter: they were brought to the peninsula humane society where six weeks later the pups have been weaned. they are ready for adoption. in foster care, they were given names of the british royal family. >> so the puppies available are prince harry and then we have prince william, we have meghan markle and then also charlotte and then princeduchess kate. and of course the mother, queen elizabeth. >> reporter: the

we'll be looking at some pretty clouds around. morning mist and drizzle. gusty and cooler today, warmer, still breezy, but not quite as windy tomorrow as we get the behind the system. winds for today, notice that we're at 25 miles an hour at the coast. and then as we go through the afternoon, yes, they just get stronger up to 40 miles an hour at times. and then right inside the bay, could see white caps for up to 30 miles an hour. it is nice and sunny, but it is a blustery afternoon out there. and then by 11:00 tonight, they sort ever dial back. you will notice the colors that indicates the gusty winds more so at the coast. so we will be looking at that cool day today. how about 73 in san jose, 69 in milpit milpitas. 58 in pacific came. san francisco should see about 65, 62 today. and in the north bay, you are well into the 80s yesterday, it was 88 in santa rosa.

how about 74 today. east bay, grab the jacket. 67 for you. and you head inland just mid-70s today with the breezy winds. nice and sunny though. 74 in concord, 70 in pleasanton. so today is the sonoma county hot air balloon festival with its in the 60s. and it is just a little breezy. and the san mateo county fair with temperatures today in the 60s. it will be breezy. so rather cool. the accuweather 7 day forecast today the coolest day. windy to breezy tomorrow. and then monday and tuesday waerm warmest days of the week. you download our accuweather app and you notice the temperatures come up and then they come down. so if you are not a fan of the heat, still saying cool at the coast. look at that picture. >> and just grab the jacket, make sure because the wind will be an issue throughout the day.

>> yes. >> lisa, thanks. on the peninsula, a comeback story for the ages involving a resilient teen aenager and her personal connection to the warriors and cavaliers fans in cleveland. inside the halls of sequoia high school, caitlin is defying the odds and sharing her wisdom. >> finding the positive in the struggle. and it will end up being okay. and you can make it through hard times. >> reporter: at age 13, caitlin was diagnosed with encephalitis that causes debilitating seizures. >> she was having up to 20 a day with tremors almost 24/7. so it was very hard. >> reporter: two surgeries failed to help. so in 2015, caitlin traveled to the cleveland clinic for a third procedure to stop the seizures. during her recovery, the hospital staff helped her decorate her room in warriors colors. the side effects of the surgery though included left side paralysis as well as severe

headaches. this video taken by family shows caitlin during a physical therapy session learning how to wlk again. when she got back to the bay area, caitlin e-mailed coach receive kerr who at the time was also suffering from headaches after undergoing spinal surgery. to her amazement, the coach wrote back and eventually nfrted her to a game. a kind gesture that cemented her status at a super fan. she's caught up academically, teachers applaud her spirit. >> she sets examples for students on campus about what it looks like to hold yourself to high expectations and to set goals. and meet them. >> reporter: she's now on the sequoia swim team where she competes with the use of only her right arm. but warriors basketball will always be her first love. >> just love the chemistry of base and everything. >> reporter: this remarkable teenager inspiring the warrior within us all. >> she's now volunteering with the brain recovery project, an organization that helps children reach their full potential after
