korean peninsula is the only outcome the u.s. will accept. that's the message that secretary of state mike pompeo delivered overnight as we count down to the historic summit between president trump and kim jong-un. we know they'll meet one-on-one with no one else in the room. after mr. trump's one-on-one meeting with kim jong-un, there's a scheduled expanded meeting with members of both sides joining them and then that's it. although the white house says more meetings could be added. president trump says he'll know within the first minute if kim jong-un is serious about negotiating a nuclear deal. that one-on-one meeting highly anticipated is going to happen at 6:00 p.m. our time. make sure to stay with abc 7, and george steph nop liss is reporting live in singapore. an odd investigation happening in san jose. it appears an officer's air bag deployed in their patrol vehicle, but there wasn't any visible damage to the car. this is in a san jose state parking garage at 9th and san

fernando. we have a call in to sjpd to see what happened and if the officer was hurt. a man is finally in custody following an hours' long standoff in el sobrante. >> the man was spotted with a rifle threatening to kill people. deputies surrounded his home and used high-pitch noises to try to get him out of the house. neighbors say he was arrested a week ago for a similar incident although that did not involve a gun. they said they're afraid he'll be allowed to come back home. you can see a woman carrying what appears to be a molotov cocktail. police say she's suspended of trying to start fires at two day care centers. >> the latest fire happened over memorial day weekend. abc 7 news reporter matt keller live in newark with more. >> reporter: the suspect has chosen holiday weekends for these attacks, the latest

happening in newark on memorial day weekend. major damage was done here. this is the safari kids preschool and day care on newark boulevard. police were called out here on the afternoon of may 26th. they assisted the fire department with the investigation. it was determined this fire was deliberately set. it's being connected to this woman. these pictures are from thanksgiving weekend last year. police say she brought a molotov cocktail to the safari she left the bottle behind after throwing it through the door. the note on the door here in newark is referring clients to union city. they're asked to contact the department there on alvarado boulevard. as for police, they are hoping someone knows this woman and comes forward and let's them know who it is. live in newark, mt. keller, abc 7 news. >> matt, thank you. the slow moving drama over who

is going to be san francisco's next mayor continues. >> london breed is now up in the race by 1,580 votes. there are still tens of thousands of ballots left to be counted. >> abc 7 news reporter kate larsen has more on why it's taking so long. >> reporter: the weekend started with mark leno leading the race, but after tens of thousands of ballots were processed saturday and sunday, london breed pulled ahead. through ranked-choice voting both leno and breed have more than 100,000 votes, but breed is ahead of leno by more than 1,500. >> reporter: the director of san francisco's department of elections for 16 years says they'll spend the rest of the week counting the 126,000 ballots. >> we're not stressed out. this is our process. every election this is what we do. we seek to have every vote count, no matter what the contest is, no matter who the candidates are. >> reporter: during elections this area is turned into a vote

breeze again. he's doing just fine and says he's grateful to the people he calls heroes. one person is dead, oopt seriously injured after an explosion destroyed a house in ohio. this video is going to show you the devastation. look at this. the blast was so powerful, it took the sides right off nearby homes in east cleveland. this happened yesterday morning. neighbors reported the smell of gas after the blast, but at this point fire officials say there were no reported leaks before the explosion. the cause is still under investigation. police have reportedly located a person of interest. no word on her connection to the blast. in today's "gma first look," a woman snatched from the hospital after her birth and raised by her kidnapper is talking exclusively to abc news. abc's eva pilgrim has more on that. >> reporter: she was kidnapped from a florida hospital almost 20 years ago. >> she told me about the kidnapping, she told me what she had done. >> reporter: in 1998 gloria

a clear sky and a minor heat wave that starts today is going to taper by the weekend. i'll show you that coming up. first, a look at san francisco. i want to put out the day planner and show you the high temperatures in 64 in ingleside to the mission at 72 degrees. into the east bay, a look at your 12-hour day planner. temperatures pretty comfortable. let's see where our highs end up. let's go to the peninsula. you can see from 56 to 70s from noon to 7:00. high temperatures, some areas won't quite make it there. daly city and the coast will be in the 60s. 81 in redwood city. the warm spot in the south bay, 70s and 80s for the better part of the afternoon hours. 79 in milpitas. in the north bay, 80s starting at noon through about 7:00. that means, yeah, look at this all through out the area.

investigation in san francisco led to a fiery crash in the east bay. the cell phone video showing officers dragging that kidnapping suspect away from his burning vehicle. police say his car crashed into a light pole in emeryville while trying to evade a san francisco poli officer. >> the police officer, she pretty much handled it calm. she had to hold a gun on him for whatever reason, and she asked for someone with a fire extinguisher. yemg for this guy to get out of the car. >> several people tried to help. the suspect is in critical condition. his female passenger died. san francisco police say the pair was wanted for assaulting a woman in the tender loan before shoving her into the trunk. police say the woman escaped well before the crash. developing news in sausalito where a fire forced several people from a home. >> you can see the roaring flames from an abc 7 news viewer. the fire damaged two buildings
