reporter matt keller in pleasanton. how bad is it right now, matt? >> reporter: natasha, it's really bad. we're just right before the 680 interchange in the pleasanton-dublin area. you can see traffic is not moving at all. that is very frustrating for all these commuters this morning. you can see all the red taillights trying to get up the hill on westbound 3580. it's going to be a long time before these people are out of the traffic. let's take a look at sky 7. it's live right now. the big rig has been moved over. two lanes are still closed. this is westbound 580 east of eden canyon road. the big rig weighs about 30,000 pounds. this happened about 4:45 this morning. all lanes were blocked for about 45 minutes before they were able to open up a couple of lanes. those couple of lanes are just moving a far cars at a time. obviously very frustrating for these people who are stuck in traffic. so expect it to be like this for quite a bit of time this morning. live in pleasanton, matt keller,

abc 7 news. we'll check in with alexis who is following that crash and now another issue. >> we were hoping for friday light. that's not the case. westbound 580 before eden canyon, just two lanes are getting by. a backup beyond the 680 interchange. do not take southbound 680 for an alternate. another problem, another sig alert southbound 680 before sheridan road. that's where we have just one lane on the shoulder getting by. this started off as a crash involving a big rig and another -- excuse me -- a big rig and sedan. that sedan caught fire. we've got major issues today. i quickly want to show you a drive time,ing tracy to dublin about 45 minutes. southbound 680 dublin to mission boulevard one hour and ten minutes. good news, northbound 85, 10( 1

to cupertino is looking great at 15 minutes. if you like the cool breezes, we've got them again. look at the 15 miles per hour in san jose. 16 in concord. 32 in fairfield. it's just a dead-on headwind if you're trying to drive west from fairfield this morning. gas mileage terrible. the car moving around a little bit, also. here is my accuweather 12-hour planner. you'll still have a lot of sunshine. that will keep us in the 50s at the coast. the sunshine will get us into the low to mid 70s at noon. notice we don't warm much as all. still in the low to mid 70s at 4:00. we round out the 12-hour planner with a nice evening. temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. the rest of my forecast coming in. firefighters in san jose responding only a short while ago to this, aer in a park right next to a local

school. take a look at the brand new video at 6:00 a.m. this is right next to yorba buena high school. there were a lot of sparks and flames they were dealing with. firefighters say they were able to contain the fire in roughly 20 to 30 minutes. they tell us that numerous people reported the fire. if you live in that area, things are under control right now. and thankfully no reports of any injuries. back to you, reggie. >> dwapg nous in the east bay where a funeral home was put on lockdown. grieving families were stuck inside after someone shot five people outside. this happened last night outside the chapel of the chimes on the hayward and union city border. there was at least one service taking place inside the chapel when the gunfire started outside. three of the victims were found in the parking lot across the street. one person was found on a nearby 7-eleven and the fifth person drove themselves to the hospital. a woman said her deceased mother's viewing was taking

place inside when she heard the shots. >> it was right outside my mom's viewing. they tell us that -- we were on lockdown for an hour and we were there the whole time. they told us not to go out. >> no word of any arrests this morning. this morning a san francisco mom is recovering from life-threatening brain injuries after someone attacked her while she was walking with her baby. [ screaming ]. >> just terrible. nearby surveillance cameras recorded her screaming when she was attacked at 28th and sanchez streets on june 3rd. moments before you saw her walking the street. a person in dark clothing rounds the corner carrying someone. doctors believe the attacker hit her on the head with a blunt object like a hammer. last night the victim's friends posted flyers trying to look for more evidence. >> it had to have been someone out of their mind who could commit a crime like this.

hollyfield live in pleasanton. hey there, amy. >> reporter: good morning, natasha. they expect half a million people to come through these gates this summer. we have a sneak peek inside the fairgrounds. they were wrapping up their setup yesterday. they let us come in and get a few shots of the fairgrounds. there will be less walking this year, if you'd like. for the first time the fair has a gondola to take you from one end of the fair to another. there are, of course, rides, concerts and animals. but the real highlight for many is fair food. >> we have great fair food, our giant corn dogs, giant turkey legs. this year we have a nitrogen infused kriel. so you can eat your cereal and blow smoke like a dragon. that's one of the number one reasons people come to our fair. >> reporter: i don't know why that makes me laugh. this year they're bringing back the cattle drive. this kicked off the fair for the first time last year. it was very popular.

tri-valley. yeah, we've had two of them. this one is on 680. this is the southbound direction in the sunol area, just before you get to sheridan boulevard. you can see that charred vehicle on the tow truck. it looks like they're making a lot of progress and getting close to towing this out of the way. that jetta was involved in a crash with a semi before it burst into flames this morning. we did have injuries involved in that one, too. boy, we've got major delays all through the sunol area and into pleasanton. at least an hour delay on southbound 680. as i mentioned, that is one of two significant issues. i also want to take you to a live shot from our crew set up in the pleasanton area. this is a few miles away from our second issue on westbound 580 in castro valley. two lanes open, two lanes closed, this time due to a flipping big rig near eden canyon road. it's a parking lot. about 45 minutes to one-hour delay with this issue. we'll talk about a few of the

president trump announced new tariffs on china, $50 bill one worth of chinese imports. this morning the chinese government is also responding saying in turn china threatening $50 billion in retaliatory tariffs, things like beef, soybeans. so today's move really ramping up the trade war between the two world's largest economies. a in jeordel tou supporter in those negotiations. we'll see how all this shapes up. we do expect this to impact the stock markets today as well. so we'll check our stock markets in the next half hour. back to you. >> jessica, thank you.

sunol. a tow truck hauling that charred vehicle that was involved in a crash with a semi about 5:00 this morning. that's the good news. that vehicle is clearing out of the way. however, we just got some bad news from chp. they're saying caltrans is there and they're saying we need a street sweeper out there. we have debris in lanes one through four. that's going to be an hour more that those lanes will be closed. for now, only the far right lane and right shoulder are getting by. we've got major delays. we're talking at least an hour delay through sunol and into pleasanton this morning. also, to just pile on here, this is our second major issue of the morning. westbound 580 in pleasanton. as you can see, not moving here. that is due to a flipped big rig. that is just before you get to there's our second sig alert. a few speeds here this morning, 20 miles per hour on westbound 580, southbound 680 not moving either, nine miles an hour into

no delays, a mixture of clouds and sunshine this morning, about 55 degrees. mid to upper 50s. dress for those temperatures as you head out the door now through 7:00. total sunshine, maybe a few lingering clouds. mid to upper 60s at 7:00. it looks like a pretty quiet day weatherwise, but on the roads, wow, i wish it was friday light. it's not, is it? >> not in certain areas, mike. we're definitely looking at a lot of gridlock here in the tri-valley. one of the trouble spots southbound 680 before sheridan road. that's still a sig alert. we did see sky 7 and the tow truck pull away hauling the burned vehicle involved in a crash and a vehicle fire about 5:00 this morning. that was the good news. the bad news is they're waiting for a street sweeper. you're jammed for miles. seven miles an hour, four miles an hour approaching the scene. hoping to have everything back open soon. that's our first problem of the

morning. the second problem, we are looking live from sky 7 right now at a flipped big rig on westbound 580. this is in the castro valley area before eden canyon. this causing miles of backup. let's go to abc 7 news reporter matt keller who is there at the scene for us. good morning, matt. >> reporter: good morning, alexis. i just talked to a chp officer who arrived on scene to talk to us about what is taking place on westbound 580. he did not have good news. i'll get to that in a minute. let me show you what's happening here on westbound 580. traffic is moving very slowly, in fact, looks like it's coming to a stop again. that's the issue according to the chp. they say caltrans has actually requested a sweeper for that area. that means at one point in the next hour or so, they are going to have to close westbound 580 all lanes again to traffic. so you will come to a complete stop if you're on westbound 580 heading here just east of eden canyon road.

abc 7 news. >> what a mess. more traffic trouble as alexis mentioned. this is on southbound 680 in sunol. the chp saying a volkswagen jetta rear-ended a semi and then caught on fire. you can see the scorched car being towed away. no word on whether anyone got hurt here. caltrans expects lanes one through four will be blocked for the next hour as crews clean up that degree. this morning b.a.r.t. police investigating after an apparent stabbing at the concord b.a.r.t. station and this incident you see here in your screens reported just after 11:30 last night. police say one person suffered some sort of cut after a fight. they say that person had only a minor injury, though. and we also know one person was taken into custody by b.a.r.t. officers. trains didn't stop at the concord station for about ten minutes. things are back to normal now. back to you. san francisco police have released shocking body cam video

and it shows a man being shot in the back by an officer. this is during a confrontation that escalated quickly last weekend. before we go on, i do need to warn you this video is quite intense. here it is. on saturday, police say officers stopped a group of men for having open containers of alcohol at the corner of grant and vallejo on north beach. one of the men, oliver barcenas ran from officers and police say he tossed a loaded glock pistol before an officer then shot him, striking him two times in the back. >> when you see a video and we have limited facts right now, it's very difficult because people want answers. that's really the purpose of all these investigations. our purpose for coming here tonight is to be transparent. >> police have yet to release the name of the officer involved in the shooting. no officers or bystanders were hurt. barcenas remains in the hospital. this is the second time in six years he's been shot by sfpd. we posted those body cam videos on our website, abc7news.com.

clinton e-mail investigation says former fbi chief james comey was insubordinate in his handling of the case. the report by the justice department watch dog criticizes him for publicly discussing the investigation. it blasts him for reopening the case just 11 days before the presidential election. the report says comey wasn't motivated by politics, but his actions damaged the bureau's reputation. the report also slams multiple fbi employees involved in the case for sending politically charged text messages. hillary clinton responded to the report with three words, "but my e-mails." of course, the phrase "but her e-mails" was a calling card for president trump and his supporters referring to her use of the private e-mail server. there's also word that comey himself were using e-mails not government approved during this whole thing which is part of the reason she sent this out. meanwhile lyn says this november will, quote, finally be
