determines they have fewer than six months to live. a lower court judge last month declared the law unconstitutional for procedural regions. the law was inspired by brittany maynard. she had terminal brain cancer and ended her life in 2014. he told us today he'll do whatever it takes to keep this law in california. >> this is the promise that i made to britain, to help work on passing legislation so that no terminally ill individual would ever have to go through what she went through, leaving her home and move to another state. at least people won't have to do that now. >> opponents of this end of life option have until july 2nd to file objections. three hikers are safe tonight after being stranded for more than 11 hours on a rocky cliff side in pacifica. however, it took a dramatic rescue to save them.

infant his tibia stopped growing forcing doctors to amputate it when he was just 11 months old. year after year he's gone through prosthetics but none come close to this, one with a "black panther" design. >> it makes me feel like a cool kid, something really awesome. >> reporter: he's now sharing that with others and hopes to become a spokesperson for amputees. >> to help kids out who have this type of stuff. >> reporter: he's not only living it, he's saying it. >> to other people that have the same situation he has, to let it be part of your life and embrace it, that's magical. >> reporter: he needs no suit to be a shining light to others.

abc 11 eyewitness news. and in accuweather it's a windy start to the weekend. those winds will subside overnight but cloud cover will be moving in. live doppler 7 along with satellite tonight showing you we already have that marine layer thickening. you can see that satellite image of the cloud cover stretching over much of san francisco into the east bay into parts of el cerrito and even parts of northern oakland. half moon bay visibility, it is down to 3 miles. that fog could be dense in spots over the next two hours. that picture a little bit of sunshine from this vantage point, but it's tough to even make out the skyline of san francisco. we switch to santa cruz and drops on the lens, drizzles over portions of of the coast and

east bay over the next 12 hours or so as a piece of energy moves through. we struggled to get out of the 60s in a lot of spots. we're only at 61 in santa rosa. 69 in san ramon, and half moon bay 59 degrees. part the reason we're cool is we have this wind with us. 40 miles per hour the current gust in fairfield. 33 right now ensan francisco. that wind gusting to 23, and breezy right now the wind will relax. not nearly as window tomorrow as we are today. overnight tonight we have the cloud cover that is thickening this hour along the coast. mid to low 50s your overnight lows. but the bigger picture tomorrow morning we could have some

drizzle developing as well. future weather, hour by hour on sunday. early sunday morning you do notice that green on your screen along the coast and some patchy drizzle. that chance continues by 7:00 in the morning. but as you get towards the later morning hours, that chance of drizzle gets out of here, but we'll likely hang onto a lot of cloud cover for much of your sunday. early on we have that cloud cover, that chance of some drizzle along your coastline, but that chance is out of here by midday. temperatures mainly in the 70s in a lot of spots. high of 75 in san jose tomorrow with some afternoon sunshine. breezy in santa rosa, cooler in san francisco, a high of only 64 degrees. 69 in oakland, and con 77 degrees. a bump up to our temperatures on
