live in berkeley tonight, lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. >> lisa, thank you very much. a grass fire that broke out in concord late this afternoon quickly grew to 25 acres because of high winds. it took fire crews more than two hours to fully contain the flames burning along evora road between willow pass and drift wood drive. our walnut creek camera captured black smoke rising just beyond those trees the area while crews got control of the blaze. those winds also responsible for knocking down trees. take a lkoo at campbell just ripped from the ground at its base before toppling onto parked cars near the court yard by marriott entrance. police tweeted these photos to warn of dangers. in martinez, this 100-year-old oak fell, taking down power poles and lines with it. it uprooted the sidewalk and crhedev. seral

guys are doing. it's all about safety out here. >> reporter: parents of the teen girls sending a big thank you to rescuers. >> throughout the night they kept us informed and grateful for our first responders. >> kids are okay? >> kids are great. >> thank you. thank you very much. >> reporter: firefighters advise hiking only on marked trails. avoid hiking at night and always be aware of your surroundings. in pacifica, cornell barnard, abc7 news. a dixon man is being called a hero tonight after he helped lift a truck off a woman's foot. it happened at seven flags car wash on east monte vista avenue in vacaville on friday. jesse landers was vacuumingis of t stalls.drashn o a sedan had slammed into the back of a truck, pushing its back left tire onto the driver's foot. car wash employees used a jack to lift the truck off the woman, but it wouldn't go high enough. >> i heard her screaming. i could tell she was in pain. i put myself in that situation. i would want someone to help me. so i went and decided to help

her. i ended up having to get in front of her. i reached down, grabbed the rims, and lifted up and i was able to get that up high enough where she was able to get her foot out. >> landers thinks he lifted the truck off about six inches. the woman is okay and out of the hospital. take a look. this is video captured when a tesla burst into flames in los angeles. the car belongs to hollywood director and producer michael morris. nobody was hurt. morris' wife says the car was not in an accident before today's fire broke out. tesla called the incident an extraordinary, unusual occurrence. the company is now investigating. all of this follows other incidents involving tesla including a deadly accident in mountain view that raised questions about the car's self-driving system. it's still not clear if this tesla was on autopilot. today san francisco's ocean beach turned into a dog lover's dream. >> oh, how cute. hundreds of corgis showed up with their owners for the
