good morning, i'm kendis gibson. >> i'm diane macedo. here are some of the top stories we're following on "world news now." hundreds of separated children have been reunited with their parents. this as other families still separated and await a clear plan. house leaders delayed a compromise bill until next week. it would keep migrant families together. abc has approved a reboot of the "roseanne" show, but roseanne barr will have nothing to do with the new show.

send a message of compassion. but photos of the first lady wearing a $39 zara jacket with the words on the back "i really don't care, do you", mrs. trump fully aware of the cameras, the eyes of the world watching, but as if to prove a point, she wore it again after she landed back in washington. her spokeswoman saying it's a jacket, there's no hidden message. after today's important visit to texas, i hope this isn't what the media is going to choose to focus on. but despite that statement, the president tweeting a different explanation, saying, quote, i really don't care, do you, written on the back of melania's jacket refers to fake news media. melania has learned how dishonest they truly are and no longer cares.

janai norman, abc news, washington. >> and abc news has learned that for now homeland security has stopped referring families to the justice department for prosecution. >> officials trying to make that happen are facing a new challenge. brad mielke explains. >> seems like a simple question, right? thousands of kids were separated from their parents, the president changes that policy, so what happens to the kids? when do they get to see their parents again? lauren pearl says there's a problem. when many were separated they were all given i.d. numbers and sent to different facilities. now nothing about these i.d. numbers connect back to each other. you cannot search for some children's relatives. >> my experts are saying there isn't a system like that. each individual migrant gets their own i.d. number. but there is no family i.d. number. >> there's no mechanism that says person a belongs to person b? >> absolutely not. because we haven't separated

koko was able to communicate with people using sign language. >> she also understood some english and was apparently very fond of cats. matt keller reports. >> reporter: koko the gorilla brought joy to many people, including celebrities like robin williams and the bassist for the rid hot chili peppers. sadly, koko passed away in her sleep on tuesday at the age of 46. she was born on july 4, 1971. in 1927 she was taught sign language. with penny's help koko learned to use over more than a thousand signs and understood 2,000 spoken english words. >> yes, that's what you wanted. >> reporter: the gorilla foundation released a statement saying koko touched the lives of millions as an ambassador for all gorillas. she was beloved and will be deeply missed.
