we'll chelk drive times and your mass transit options, this spare the air day in just a few minutes. breaking news in san francisco's mission district. a shooting has left one person dead. >> the investigation is >> the investigation is happening at harrison and 24th. abc 7 news amy hollyfield is live in the area. >> reporter: i found out from investigators the two victims are male. plenty of police officers still here. they're still actively investigating this case. crime tape still blocking off harrison at 24th street. they heard about the shooting at 2:30 this morning, not from a 911 call but the city's shot spotter activation system. sensors let them know a gun had been fired. they arrived to find two men had been shot, one died here at the scene. the other man was taken to the hospital with life threaten injuries. police have not said anything about a possible motive or any arrests at this time. they also don't know at this point how long they will out

spotter activation that happened just after 2:30 this morning. anyone with information urged to call sfpd's anonymous tip line. did they wake you up? five earthquakes shook eastern contra costa county. >> the largest was a 3.1 at 12:41 near oakley. then a magnitude 2.8 hit five minutes later in the same area. there was also a 2.2, 2.0 and 1.9. no reports of any damage or injuries. on to the latest now on the immigration crisis at the bor r border. >> an asylum seeker from guatemala and her 7-year-old son were reunited at baltimore international airport in maryland early this morning. the justice department agreed to release the young boy after his mother sued in federal court. they were separated at the u.s. border. the mother and son plan to travel to texas where they're going to live while their asylum claim is decided. altogether, 500 of more than 2300 children separated from their families at the border have been reunited since may.

it's unclear how many of those 500 children are still being detained with their families. 23andme will provide dna testing kids to help reunite families separated at the border. they got involved after being approached by peninsula congresswoman jackie speier. she says the next step is to reach out to federal officials for direction on how to move forward with the testing. by now you've probably seen this jacket that first lady melania trump wore while she was visiting one of the centers where children are being held at the border. it reads, i really don't care, do you. abc asked why she wore that and the replay was it's just a jacket. president trump tweeted that the jacket refers to the fake news media. cheryl jennings will be traveling to the area. you can watch abc7news.com as cheryl goes beyond the headlines to bring you the story of the crisis at the border.
