have poor air quality, not only today, but also tomorrow along with our east bay valleys and also our east bay hills. now, tomorrow's going to be the hottest day, starting at 11:00 in the morning through 8:00 in the morning, heat is possible in the areas in orange. that's pretty much everybody other than san francisco and along the coast. we've got a higher fire danger starting tomorrow in solano and lake counties at midnight. for the rest of us especially above 1,000 feet, it starts at 11:00 tomorrow through 8:00 sunday. here's walnut creek. temperatures today, 9 to 14 degrees above average. there's 100 in livermore and hotter tomorrow. i'll show you the numbers coming up and when it timely breaks this heat wave in the accuweather seven day forecast.t irefight prepaom wioin coverage

with matt keller live in south san jose, good morning, matt. >> reporter: good morning. this is why we're known as the golden state, this dry grass here along the hillside and tomorrow, we have a red flag warning putting everyone on edge. it will be a sizzler in the bay area this weekend. places are see temperatures in the mid-90s to over triple digits so fire danger is high. cal fire is at peak staffing. >> activity has started to pick up over want last few days. a lot of that is attributed to equipment use. what we remind and ask of people is, please, don't use mec equipment on dry, windy days. >> reporter: scott was arrested, the sheriff's office says her 18 month old son died after being left inside a vehicle for several hours. >> that is a big concern for us. we ask people to be extra

miliesed, only now oli 6eparatn together. president trump will make remarks on immigration and americans who have loved ones killed by undocumented immigrants. a group of immigration activists left san francisco this morning for the mexican border saying trump's decision to stop separation of families does not mean they will be quiet. they want voices to be heard. abc 7 news reporter amy holly foo hollyfield was with the activists before they left. >> place ourselves in god's loving arms. >> reporter: they prayed and boarded a bus where they plan to protest the policy that pulled children away from their parents. >> there's a lot of people that are complacent, but there's a ton of us that are not. >> reporter: sabrina isis work at two jobs to go on this trip, but she says she can't imagine being elsewhere. >> i wake up every morning

thinking about it and it's hard to go on. >> reporter: it's not just adults. children are going too saying they hope their presence makes a difference. >> i couldn't imagine living without my parents. i don't know how these children are dealing with all of their loneliness without their parents. >> reporter: faith and action here in the bay area put out a call for help to pay for the bus and for food. organizers say they were flooded with donations. >> it was really heart warming, really overwhelming the amount of support we got. >> reporter: bay area activists are not only at the california border. jennings is traveling to texas to meet up with the congresswoman speer and other representatives. mothers are on the same flight as sheryl and our photographer, taking toys, books, and clothing for the children who are being detained. >> well, we were so offended by what's been going on at the places that we felt we had to do something. >> reporter: the demonstrators headed to san diego express

themselves through marches, protests, and prayers and make voices heard peacefully. amy hollyfield in san francisco, abc 7 news. >> sheryl jennings is going to the border with a bay area delegation. watch abc 7 news and abc7news.com as she brings headlines of the crisis at the border. san francisco police want to find the person responsible for a deadly shooting in the mission district. the city's shot spotter system led officers to harrison and 24th at 2:30 this morning and officers found two men shot there, one died at the scene. the other man still has life threatening injuries. it's not yet clear what led up to that shooting. just a few hours, there's a first lookrr tea l police say plaza and one man was stabbed to death, another in critical condition, and police arrested michael roche and alex fernandez and found a possible .

the police department will release information at a news conference at 3:00 p.m. details overnight, arizona police saying this uber safety driver could be facing manslaughter charges determining she feels streaming hulu watching "the voice" up until the moment her car struck and killed a pedestrian in tempe. the accident was avoidable if she had been paying attention. she told federal investigators she was monitoring the interface in the car and that neither her personal nor business phones were in use until after the crash. privacy advocates are celebrating a major ruling today by the supreme court in a 5-4 decision. the justices ruled authorities generally need a search warrant to track movements of criminal suspects by collecting information about where they used their cell phones. the courts liberal justice the agreed with privacy rights

the east bay hills, you see the summer spread is developing this afternoon. that 35 degree spread at 4:00. all of us down into the 50s and 60s. not quite as cool tonight as it was this morning. all right. i know these temperatures are kind of scary. not a lot of shade out at sonoma, but 95 dratoday, 98 tomorrow, but sunday, the big race, 22 degrees cooler and 77. you know the drivers, crew, and team are happy for that. pride, 76 today, at least 84 tomorrow, and a sea breeze that'll keep us at 69 sunday. in fact, starting at 9:00 at 60, noon, 69, sea breeze kicks in, 66 at 3:00, and 62 at 6:00. tonight's temperatures are 50 at half moon bay to 68 in we have a heat advisory for tomorrow, two days in, your body will be worn down. drink before you getthirsty.
