12-hour planner. temperatures will hang out in the 50s to near 60s o at 7:00. still in the 50s at the coast at 4:00. here's sue. >> we have a wind advisory. chp issued the wind advisory for the antioch and benicia brejs. we have a slight delay with the bay bridge toll plaza with the cash paying folks on the left and right-hand sides of the bridge. here is the accident i was mentioning. it's not blocking a lane, but you are seeing slow traffic as you approach the marin side of the richmond-san rafael bridge. there might be some emergency activity on the side of the road. expect delays getting into marin from the east bay. some muni metro passengers will be in for a long irride today. two stations in the southwestern part of san francisco will have to take a bus to get to downtown. >> abc 7 news reporter cornell barnard joins us at the church station with what's happening this morning.

good morning, cornell. >> reporter: good morning, guys. lots of changes this morning for muni riders who need to get downtown from the sunset district. shuttle buses will be starting shortly, dropping riders off here at the church street station. lots of seen naj up forever. that's because the west portal and forest hill stations will be closed for quite a while. the muni metro k, l and m lines impacted. it's all happening because the twin peaks tunnel is 100 years old, walls and track need repair. muni trying to make repairs as quick as it can, minimizing inconvenience to its riders. >> rails are order. so we're currently operating under speed restrictions. once we put in new trails, they will be able to operate quicker in the tunnel and get people quicker to their destinations. >> muni has been trying to get the word out to all the riders about the detour.

muni represents at the church, castro and west portal stations this morning to answer any questions. the repair job expected to last most of the summer, two months. so patience is being encouraged by riders. we have a full guide, everything you need to know about these changes on our website, abc7news.com. live in san francisco this morning, cornell barnard, abc 7 news. >> thanks, cornell. santa rosa police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and three injured including a 4-year-old boy. it happened after 8:00 on garfield park avenue. investigators say 65-year-old walter ross went to his son's home to confront his estranged wife. she wasn't there. but he opened fire on the people inside his home. he then shot himself. 43-year-old man who was killed have not been identified. ross and a 4-year-old boy are being treated for their injuries. trz pushing for undocumented immigrants to be immediately returned to their home countries

without due process. it's still not clear how more than 2,000 children separated from their parents will be reunited. abc's janay norman is in washington. >> reporte reporter: the ongoin at the border. >> we need people that can help us. we want a merit-based immigration system. we need safety at the border. we need the wall. the wall is going to happen. >> reporter: the crisis, more than 2,000 kids taken from their parents in just over a month. spread out across the country, unclear how they'll be reconnected. the president blaming democrats and suggesting undocumented immigrants should be immediately deported and denied due process. tweeting, we cannot allow all these people to en vaed our country. when somebody comes in, we must immediately with no judges or court cases bring them back from where they came. the department of homeland security now saying more than 500 children are already back with their parents, but still over 2,000 remain separated.

as the immigration debate reaches a flash point, the pentagon is agreeing to build temporary migrant camps on two unspecified u.s. military bases. in washington, lawmakers are facing an uphill battle as they're set to vote on immigration reform. >> congress has to fix this. what is bother some is the president's rhetoric about the democrats and their unwillingness to have any type of border security or control. >> reporter: over the weekend several democratic lawmakers toured a border facility including senator elizabeth warren who described the conditions she saw as disturbing. several others say they aren't con vensed the administration has any real plans to reunite separated families. abc 7 news anchor cheryl jennings was invited to accompany jackie speier during her investigations at detention centers. cheryl talked exclusively with a border guard to hear what the situation looks like from his

perspective. he is a father of four. cabrera says many undocumented immigrants turn themselves in to the guards. >> we have children. we have family members that if we know -- you've got to treat people the way you want to be treated. if we were in that situation, we'd want to be treated accordingly. >> cheryl will have more reports from the border later today. you can find more coverage online at abc7news.com. 4:36 now, the defendants in the deadly ghost ship fire case could take the stand. derrick ick almena and max harr face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the 2016 fire. a source close to the case told our i-team that prosecutors already offered almena 18 years in prison with the possibility of ten years of parole in exchange for a guilty plea.

to 3:00 this evenings, pretty bad. just barely 80 during the afternoon hour. 6 at 8:00. here is a look at what's going on in the north bay. we'll start off in the 50s and warm into the mid 70s to upper 70s during the afternoon hours. our last stop will be the south bay. we start 64 this morning, 76 at noon. low 80s in the afternoon hours and a comfortable 71 at 8:00. so all of our north bay neighbors that come across the golden gate bridge -- >> would be me. drizzle and windshield wipers need neighborhood. it was like light rain. it was pretty wet, but no problems on the road, at least not so far anyway in the grade. emeryville into the macarthur maze and the bay bridge, gaps in between the headlights there. everyone moving at the limit. problem spot for us coming into san rafael, we had an earlier accident westbound 580 near san kwen tip. it was blocking the left lane.

the red sensors have just now cleared. we'll check back with chp and see if that accident has been cleared out of lanes. so far it looks much better across the richmond-san rafael bridge. it could soon cost you to drive to fror treasure island. >> accord to "the examiner," the city of san francisco is considering a toll for people entering and leaving the island. it will help pay for ferry service expected to start in 2021. some sit difficult leaders question whether it's needed at all. it will be funded from area bridge toll hike that voters. this woman don't want to let a little girl sell water, calling police on an 8-year-old little girl. >> hear from the little girl and her mom what the woman who called the cops on them is called the cops on them is saying about the incident.

controversy involving a san francisco woman who called police on an 8-year-old girl. this has been viewed more than a million teams on instagram. >> dion limb has the story. a controversial >> this woman don't want to let a little girl sell some water, calling police on an 8-year-old girl. >> this woman complaining about a girl loudly selling water outside her apartment for hours. >> she comes out, demands the permit from my daughter. said if we didn't give it to her, she'd call the cops. i said call the cops. so she did. >> the lady called the police on me because i didn't have a permit. >> you can hide all you want. the whole world going to see you, boo. >> illegally selling water without a permit. >> this the scene in a residential neighborhood near at&t park friday. er wren austin shared the video on instagram, it's now been seen millions of time.

the woman on the phone alison ettel never spoke to the girl but said her building security guard tried to get the little girl to keep the noise down or move. she wanted to know if what they were doing was legal. austin posting this new video showing her daughter is out selling water again. the woman said she never made any racist comments but now she's getting hate mail and death threats. the family says the little girl was trying to raise money to go to disney land. someone has come forward with tickets. an estimated 1 million people came out to celebrate san francisco's 48th annual pride parade and festival. >> the group known as dikes on bikes revved up their generals while leading the parade on market street. the celebration of love, tolerance and equality had a mix of political messages including

how about that drop in temperature? let's take a look at what's going on with you highlights. afternoon sneen today except for the coast. it will be a little harder to find there. more cooling today. possibility of drizzle, same areas we're experiencing this morning. heat is coming starting friday and lingering through the weekend. i don't see triple digits this go-around. we'll keep an eye on it. you can see the cloud cover racing across our neighborhoods by 7:00, pulls back by noon pretty much to the coast, even a little bit around san francisco. a stiff northwest breeze developing. the north bay coast will see sunshine. even as we get towards sunset, that breeze could be fast enough to push some of that cloud cover away from the peninsula coast. temperatures today, 77 to about 80 through most of the south bay. we have mid 80s in los gatos, gilroy. millbrae about 70. temperatures in the low 60s, even a few upper 50s along the

coast. about mid to upper 70s through most of the north bay. 80 in santa rosa and 90s up in the northern parts. then we've got upper 60s in richmond, berkeley. how about low to mid 80s in our east bay valleys. temperatures to nierkts great sleeping weather once again. low to mid 50s. my accuweather seven-day forecast, temperatures pretty steady. even a little cooler wednesday. check out the 60s, some 70s, 80s and 90s from friday through the weekend. here is sue. >> we've at the richmond-san rafael bridge, taking a look at the flaz, prtoll plaza. an extent on the western side of the fan now in the clearing phases. lane with debris scattered in - lanes. you can see the red sensors there. it's slow from the last part of the bridge coming off towards

san quentin. give yourself a little extra time. that should be cleared out of lanes rather soon. this morning apple is denying reports there's a way to by pass an iphone's pass code. a cyber security phone was able to break into an iphone without looking it, simply using a lightning cable. the trick is to bombard the phone with a string of numbers instead of trying each combination one at a time. this morning apple says the testing is incorrect and there is no vulnerability. new items from the big tech companies to tell you about starting in today's tech bites watching your time on facebook. a hidden feature in the app tells you how much time you spend on the social net work and when you've reached a limit you set for yourself. >> the feature isn't available to users. facebook isn't saying if it will ever be. google is offering a new way to use its home assistance. >> it's called continued

temperatures compared to average, we're swinging a few degrees below outside san jose which will be spot on at 80 this afternoon. here is matt. >> thank you, mike. happening today lawyers for san francisco-based uber will be in a london courtroom to try to persuade officials to restore its business license. last 1e79 uber was stripped of its license after being ruled unfit to run a taxi service. uber has since apologized and changed its business model. look out for the "mad max"

version of tesla. elon musk received a set of a tesla semi in a "mad max" movie scene. he tweeted back saying it's here and showed the center display with a mad max option in blind spot threshold. mad max refers to aggressive driving and drivers who sometimes change lanes even with a vehicle in their bleend spot. tesla is working on several levels of blind spot detection. musk also joked they could make a tesla more aggressive with an l.a. freeway mode. shark season is upon us. a kayaker in monterey bay had an encounter she likely won't forget. stella pole was on the water. and her friend recorded video of a ten-foot great white just feet away from her. >> it wasn't interested in us in any threatening way. it wasn't following me. >> biologists say shark season

runs may through october when sharks give birth and is that right sightings increase. let's talk about those wends and say where the winds have changed yesterday. pretty quiet up until 11:00. that's when the small craft advisory kicks in for the northern part of san francisco bay and saab pablo bay and all the way lieu the delta. we're going to get 10 to 20-mile-per-hour gusts during 20-mile-per-hour gusts during the afternoon hours. 20 to 3 20 to 25. we'll see winds increase again tomorrow which will keep our temperatures close to average if not a little below average. here is sue. the better news for you coming off the richmond-san rafael bridge, they have cleared that accident off to the shoulder, off to the next exit. we're still seeing residual delays westbound 580 near san quentin. there's debris in lanes. perhaps folks are slowing. they're going to try to clear that out. expect less delays as the time goes on since they have cleared that out of lanes. eastbound 24 near oak hill with
