acres. that's 137 square miles. the county fire is now 33% contained, 3,400 firefighters are on the front lines. a warning if you are headed to the beach today. the national weather service posted a beach hazard advisory for large waves, rip current, longshore current and sneaker waves. this runs through sunday. south facing locations with like santa cruz and stinson beach will be most attacked. the large waves are expected up to 8 feet. the weather service says beach gores never turn back to the water and keep an eye on pets. >> if it's 4:30. if you are joining us here is the update on weather and traffic never more than 7 minutes away from the accuweather forecast. >> let me add on to that. the rip current and the sneaker waves are the biggest problem with this. it's the south facing beaches that face the most dangerous as well as. marin county and santa cruz county, the beaches goes until 5:00 tomorrow evening. you can see the current wave heights, never huge, because

witnesses describe the care barreling into the cab and then speeding off. now this is surveillance video of the suspect's car. the pedi cab driver was critically injured and still in the hospital. police still looking for the driver responsible for the crash. the man living nearly five years after being declared brain dead will be buried this morning. she went underwent a heart during her recover. her family refused to accept the brain dead diagnosis and took her to new jersey where the 17-year-old died last month from liver failure. she will be buried at the gospel church on 66th avenue in oakland. a bay area golf coach is expected to be arraigned on sexual assault charges involving students. ki kim faces 8 felony counts. all victims are girls. kim was based out of the former county drive golf center. he taut at various other

facilities. and authorities believe there may be more victims. in the south bay this morning coyotes create concern for cat owners bus several felines have been found dead in the waverly park neighborhood. abc 7 news reporter amanda del castillo has details. >> the waverly park neighborhood is usually filled withpeople, pets and the passing summer breeze. but recent cat carnage interrupted that calm. robin diddams remember the first scene. >> i got home at 10:00 or 11:00 late at night and kind of came back and i thought there was a cat slaepg on the lawn. but it was not sleeping. >> his neighbor's cat he says killed by a coyote left on his family's front yard. >> definitely a coyote. it was like a big dog with the fluffy tail like that. >> the next day diddams swas thr cat killed in the same manner left in the same place. animal welfare experts say the behavior is tipping of coyotes % describing the wild animal as

that thai navy seal was a volunteer. he was one of about 80 seals taking part in the mission. the soccer team and coach have been in the cave for 13 days. at least two of the boys are malnourished. its it takes divers five hours each way to reach them. happening now secretary of state mike pompeo is in north korea. where he will hold meetings today and tomorrow about the hermit kingdom plans for denuclearization. here is pompeo off the plane. he will press north korea to take action to back up the commit to commitment to make the peninsula nuclear free. there have been reports that north korea is hiding nuclear weapons rather than destroying them. the u.s. is officially in a trade war with china. as of 9:00 last night the trump administration imposed a 25% tariff or tax on products from china. this is valued at $34 billion. the tariffs are meant to pressure beijing to reform trade

federal officials. but he ruled that california can't stop employers from allowing grimgts officials on the premises even without a warrant. actuarial according to now reports immigration children separated from parents at the border are having dna tested. cnn quotes an unnamed federal official says the tests will be used to reunite families and help ensure that children aren't released to human traffickers claiming to be parents. some immigrants parents are advocates concerned the collection of dna information could be use the against them for the rest of their lives. a woman is under arrest accused of stealing a police car or driving into san francisco and back to oakland before getting caught. that worked out great for the car's other occupant. a dog. yesterday afternoon the suspect talked her way into crossing police lines while officers responded to calls on myrtle street and then she stole the car. spotted near maritime street. the animal control officer in oakland discovered a surprise in

a rocket-propelled grenade took my arm off at the shoulder. when i came home, i felt alone. my family was around me, but i couldn't talk to them about what i'd seen and what i'd done. i remember just thinking, man, the way i am right now, i don't want to live. i was discharged from the army, and i've been working with the wounded warrior project since 2007. warriors don't have to be severely wounded to be with the wounded warrior project. we do have a lot of guys that have post-traumatic stress disorder. being able to share your story, i guess it kind of helps you wrap your mind around what did happen over there. just because you've left the military doesn't mean your life is over, because when these guys are coming home, i'm kind of leading and training them, instead of for combat, i'm leading and training them to heal. and if i come away with anything from the wounded warrior project, it's them giving my life back. my name is norbie, and yes, i do suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, but i'm okay.
