another wildfire is spreading and homes are going up in flames. >> hundreds of people have been forced to literally run for their lives in santa barbara county. right now a neighborhood appears to be engulfed in flames. the goleta fire started in a home and quickly spread to nearby brush. it has burned 35 acres and at least 100 homes are at risk. and from the oregon border to southern california, the largest fire by far is in yolo county. and a fire in san diego county.. about a dozen homes have been destroyed including a 130-year-old historic ranch and it is only 5% contained. >>? siskiyou county, about 40

structures have been damaged and two cemeteries. hundreds of people have been forced from their homes. >> county fire in yolo has burned 88,000 acres. it is nearly half contained. ten structures are threatened. firefighters said the weather was more favorable today but they're concerned because this weekend may be hotter and drier with stronger winds. let's go to our meteorologist, drew. >> that intense heat today in the southwest that is driving a lot of the newer fires. look at the highs frrgs l.a. to palm springs to bakersfield. 108 in los angeles and it will do the same thing again tomorrow. future tracker temperatures tomorrow afternoon. 1:00. l.a. back to 104. palm springs, 113. no relief from this intense heat the next 24 hours. the highest fire danger in california will be in so cal

abc7 news.com is that on the news app. make sure you sign up for push alerts as they happen. tonight a judge refused to extend the dead mine forces the trump administration to reunite young children with their families some of the specifying cases may be extended given the administration time match the dna. the order says 101 children under the age of 5 must be reunited with their parents by tuesday. and about 2,000 older kids must be reunited by july 26th. specific cases that could be extended beyond tuesday include 16 children who have not been matched to their parents. 19 children whose parents are in custody and can't be reached. some families have been reunited including two yesterday. one from guatemala and one from mexico. white supremacy posters have been popping up all around the south bay. as quickly as the propaganda is going up, neighbors are tearing

some areas completely underwater. another idea, drill through to reach the boys from above. so far we're told the teams have tried more than 100 holes to no avail. officials stay boys have been learning how to breathe underwater. if all goes well and this buddy dive system gets approved, the plan is to start pulling them out of cave perhaps as early as this weekend. abc news. also, elon musk is sending engineers to help in the rescue effort. when asked on twitter how he can help, musk began to theorize plans which include kevlar pods and inflatable tube that's would fill with air like bouncy castles. engineers are in contact with the thai government. tomorrow marks one year since an arsonist destroyed an apartment building you said construction in oakland. now the city is taking new steps to find the person responsible.

a wildfire consuming homes in goleta on the southern tip of santa barbara county, not far from the ucsb campus. they've been through so much down there. a fire last year that was raging and consumed tons of property and then a mud slide in the winter time. we're told this specific fire has bushld 35 acres, more than 100 homes threatened. fire crews urging residents to leave now. 911 phones are jammjamm and teens credited with saving a woman who was drowning in a pool. it happened tuesday night in alameda. our reporter spoke with the teens who jumped into action. >> reporter: the summer house apartments are home to three young heroes. that's the reputation jessica, kristine and george have earned for their actions tuesday night.

they were exercising near the pool when they heard a man call for help. >> there was this woman on the bottom of a pool. >> reporter: the woman was deep in eight and a half feet of water and it was difficult for anyone to get to her. >> i dive into the pool but it was so hard. she was like all the way under the pool. >> reporter: so the teens decided to team up and create a human chain. >> we all held hands. we pulled her together. >> all three of us, we helped her go to the side of the pool. >> reporter: once she was out of the pool she was given cpr but she inhaled too much water and had to be taken to the hospital. that's where they went to visit their new friend as she recovered. >> we brought her flowers. it was emotional of. >> reporter: after four days, she finally came home today saying she is grateful through an interpreter. >> she is thankful. >> reporter: thankful for her three young guardians.
