fire, following in his father's footsteps to join the agency. >> it's going to be hard for the unit to process the loss, but we all know that in the world of fire fighting, it is a difficult job, it's a dangerous job. >> the ferguson fire has burned 1,000 acres since it started friday night on the west side of the park. it led to evacuations and closure of highway 140. right now, it is only 5% contained. the massive county fire in napa county is fully contained this morning. cal fire expects to have the fire completely out later today. the fire started two weeks ago, burning 90,000 acres and destroying 20 buildings. one firefighter was hurt. an improperly installed electric livestock fence is blamed for starting the fire. a man and woman are under arrest after they stole a sacramento fire truck and led

police on a wild chase and the whole thing was caught on camera. [ sirens ] >> the two-hour chase ended near lake oraville. it started when they took the truck as firefighters were battling a grass fire north of sacramento. the truck has damage including the front wheel. the sacramento fire department said the truck is worth $1 million. chp is looking for help in solving a freeway shooting that injured three people. this is a story we first told you about on abc 7 mornings. officers shut down interstate 80 as they searched for evidence. the three victims at last check were in serious condition. their names have not been released. investigators are looking for suspects and information of what led up to the shooting. the victim of a deadly on-the-job accident was a teenager. palo alto online reports the

17-year-old of newark died after being trapped under a bobcat thursday morning. asphalt company casey paving was doing sealing work in the parking lot at the time. cal osha is now investigating. police are looking for the vandal who targeted a mural of bay area rock star, carlos santana. they were at the mural and someone threw white paint on to it. the artist returned to repair the damage. an organizer said the vandalism is an insult to the latino community, targeting someone born and raised in the mission. >> when you look at this damage that has been done, we know that it's somebody that came with white paint and threw it on the face of carlos santana. >> roberto hernandez says it's important not to let this divide the community.

reunited in seattle. the joyful reunion after it it t allison. allison was the voice and the face of children separated from families after she was recorded crying, asking someone to call her aunt. following allison's mom on the five-hour journey to meet her daughter at a houston airport friday morning. her message to other parents, keep fighting. a guatemalan mother driven from arizona to new york to be reunited with her three children. she thanked the group, immigrant families together, which is raising money to help families reunite and in detroit, a father separated from his 3 yeerl son more than three months, the two finally together after a deadline requiring all children under 5 to be reunited with their parents.

according to the government, 57 of 103 children have been returned to their families. in some cases, parents didn't qualify because of their background. in other cases they have been deported. protests erupted after chicago police shot and killed a man on the south side. officers confronted a man who appeared to have a weapon. the man started flailing and swinging his arms and tried to run away. that's when at least one officer shot him. police recovered a gun on the scene. he did not fire. >> crowds, afterwards, were very -- they were combative to the police, throwing things. i know they are passionate about things that happen in the community, especially when dealing with the police. but, it got a little out of hand. several arrests were made.

to get on board. >> reporter: this mom and daughter are grateful to the family who gave her a new heart. three years ago, she showed signs of cardiomyopothy. >> it the pump blood out, but getting in is difficult. >> reporter: playing basketball and soccer was hard for this 11-year-old. >> i would get tired. i would rest for a bit and go back. >> reporter: in march, doctors concluded she needed a heart transplant. >> sweet little princess, you know, a lot of why us, which is not -- you should never think like that, but it popped up. >> reporter: july 1st, she was in the operating room undergoing a transplant, thanks to a donor. 500 pediatric heart transplants are performed every year. some children die waiting for that heart. signing up to be a donor is so important.

when it opened in 2015, ucsf children's hospital in mission bay became an official pediatric center, certified for heart transplants. the old campus never did. >> there's a complicated process with we had to go through to get approved by the federal government to do this. >> reporter: the doctor was brought here from northwestern. he is optimistic about her future. >> we are going to have innovative new treatments to keep kids alive longer and longer. >> reporter: there's one thing on her mind. >> to be home. time is 6:52. a teenage fan of prince harry and meghan markle surprised the royal couple. the young woman created a hand drawn portrait of their engagement photo. >> it's for you. i was told you couldn't accept
