mark zuckerberg to step down. the shocking sight. the bear escape. >> the company offering cash for placing ads on your armpits. and america's list of most fattening meals. number one will surprise you. we do say good morning on a busy friday. we'll start with the breaking news from northern california. two major wildfires have exploded in size. forcing the governor to declare a state of emergency. >> one official describes a massive wildfire as a wall of flames taking down everything down in its path. just hours ago, crews found the body of a bulldozer operator killed by those flames. dozens of homes have been destroyed and scores more are in the path of those flames. >> and crews are racing to the front lines drove through this tornado of flames.

watch it as it gets really close to those roads right there. evacuations are under way. trafffic is backed up for miles on most roadways, as residents scramble to get out of way. including our colleagues at krcr. they would have to evacuate because of the approaching flames. >> we have been here live and right now we're being evacuated. we're kind of closing out right now. we're going to leave the station because it's now unsafe to be here. like i said, we have all that information on our websites. we'll be updating you from there as much as we can. meanwhile, in the mountains east of los angeles the cranston fire, several homes have been destroyed and new evacuations have been under way. it appears those flames are moving away from the more populated areas. >> we'll keep an eye on those fires out west. to the other breaking news overnight, another bombshell from president trump's former attorney michael cohen.

sources say cohen now claims the president knew ahead of time about that trump tower meeting we talked about in 2016. >> the russians were expected to offer dirt on hillary clinton at that meeting. cohen is reportedly saying he was in the room when the president learned about the meeting. abc's janai norman has the details on why that piece of information could be so significant. good morning. >> reporter: so this is the 2016 meeting where donald trump jr. met with russians promising dirt on hillary clinton. president trump has denied nothing anything about that meeting. his former right-hand man is saying donald trump did know. a new bombshell dropping overnight in the ongoing russia investigation. multiple sources tell abc news, michael cohen claims en.e ihen-candidate donald trump >> no, i expected something like this from cohen. he's been lying all week. he's been lying for years.

i don't think it's that significant. it didn't happen. >> reporter: the president's attorney rudy giuliani telling cnn cohen isn't credible. cohen's claims contradicts repeated denials by trump, his son. in his first in-depth interview after the fbi raided his home office and hotel room, cohen signaled to abc's george stephanopoulos to cooperate with special counsel robert mueller and federal prosecutors even if that puts president trump in jeopardy. >> no way you're going to bring down the president trump by a proven liar. >> reporter: at the same time, one of the most powerful people in the trump organization has been subpoenaed by the special counsel. part of the investigation into whether cohen violated any campaign finance laws.

evidence to support those claims. facebook ceo mark zuckerberg is under pressure this morning facing new calls to step down after his company suffered the biggest one-day loss in value. of any public company in history. zuckerberg himself lost $16 billion, but he's worth about $77 billion, and analysts say people are unfriending facebook, angry over its response to privacy concerns. this morning, a new call to fire mark zuckerberg. shareholders are now trying to replace the facebook boss as chairman after the company lost $119 billion in market value on thursday, the total value of some of the country's biggest companies including nike and mcdonald's. one company is demanding that zuckerberg relinquish the role as chairman because, they say, of a lack of oversight of facebook mishandling the number of severe controversies.

this business professor isn't suggesting that zuckerberg needs or will step down. but said that facebook could now be too complex for the 32-year-old billionaire. >> you don't learn in computer science the techniques of managing a global company that involves governments, diverse shareholders, diverse political interests. >> reporter: to help its grow, it has added instagram, whatsapp. >> they have so many things going in so many directions with so many billions of people communicating stuff that and a lot of cases incorrect information. >> reporter: the company is now sinking more money into the security features. after cambridge analytic a firm may have improperly harvested information from users. now, user growth is also a problem. >> it's losing its teenage audience, very important. it's getting it on instagram but losing it on the facebook

mandatory evacuations. one person has died. the carr fire tripled in size yesterday, growing to nearly 29,000 acres. scorching temperatures, low humidity, and windy conditions fanned the flames and it is only 6% contained. dozens of homes have been destroyed and nearly 500 more are threatened. cal fire says crews found the body of a privately hired bulldozer operator who was clearing vegetation in the fire's path. flames burned over him and his equipment. >> as we mourn the loss, we battle a fire that is moving extremely quickly and erratically into western redding. >> at least three firefighters have gotten hurt. one of the hospitals in the area has confirmed it is treating several burn victims. the carr fire was sparked by a mechanical issue involving a vehicle on monday. thee they need all the help

they can get in shasta county. >> amy hollyfield is live for us as our fire crews head in two different directions. >> reporter: the bay area is responding. this is a regional effort. san mateo is one of five counties sending firefighters to help out. a group of them left south san francisco yesterday. this group headed north. they will help on the carr fire. they say they're willing to jump in with the attitude it could happen here and we would want the help. 22 firefighters from san francisco are headed south to the cranston fire in riverside county. >> not necessarily surprised that we're doing it. it's unfortunate that we're at a point we have so many of these devastating wildfires that we do have to do it. >> reporter: firefighters are headed down south to
