look for temperatures to be cool this afternoon with the sea breeze keeping things cool. mid to upper 70s. very warm temperatures inland again, low to mid 90s. sun sets at:22. i'll have your accuweather forecast, coming up. frances, thanks. this morning crews have a house fire under control that left one person her are hurt the house fully engulfed in flames. firefighters say the home was under renovation. the homeowner was taken to the hospital. it was unclear what sparked the fire. developing news out of redding, the carr fire has burned more than 48,000 acres, only 5% contained. nearly 5,000 structuresre threatened right now. two young children and their great-grandmother are messing. melanie bledsoe called her husband to come

as the fire was getting close. when he goat back. the house was burned to the ground, and the family was nowhere to be found. shelley hockenson is pleading for the whole community's help. >> we're calling, trying so hard to figure out where they could possibly be, if they did make it out of the house. shelly's twitter postas hinform. 30,000 people have been forced from their homes. the fire has destroyed 500 buildings, 75 other structures are damaged. laura anthony has the update. >> reporter: the carr fire is flaring up here above whiskey town lake driven by the hot and dry conditions.

as the sene set to the west, the flames continue to do erupt to the east, trees exploding, but fortunately here, there are no homes in the path of the carr fire. down below, though, for many the damage is already done. here in lake keswick estates, home after home is burned to the ground. the fire is driven by high fuel, low humid and winds. >> when they fires start rapidly growing, they burn incredibly intense to the point where it's almost unsafe to put first responders in front of them. >> up the road just a few miles an entire community has lost. the small town of keswick completely demolishedemolished. according to a survey, just two homes survived. the carr fire is far from finished. this team from the bay area is

keeping a close on eye on the homes that survived in lake keswick estates. >> you can see the inversion layer has lifted, the smoke hose elevated, and it's allowed some premeeting to get oxygen back into it. that's why you're seeing the fire flare up a bit. the carr fire is hitting close to home for us here at abc 7 news, some of our staff members are redding native as well as former executive producer carrie loring. >> you can see some of the homes have burned while others are still standing. carey's home is safe, but sadly her mother lost her home in the fire. two firefighters have died fighting the carr fire and three marin firefighters were hurt. they're now out of the hospital.

abc 7's news report carl salcedo is in marin city. >> scott peterson, tier borne and brian cardoza, these are the three who were burned combatting the explosive carr fire thursday night in shasta county. they took these images moments before having to take shelter. >> the main fire front was approaching them. they experienced a sudden heat blast. >> scott and tyler suffered minor injuries, released from the hospital last night. cardoza received second-degree burns to his face, taken to uc davis for closer inspection. we made contact with brian, who is now resting at his home in sonoma county, his girlfriend tells us he's in good spirits. already exhausting fire crews. >> the sonoma fires to santa barbara to the mudslides, we really haven't had the opportunity to get a break.

look at how widespread the smoke has reached. and i know people are cancelling some of their travel plans in that area, because it is so smoky out there. here we are looking at gray skies, but this is due to the marine layer. san francisco 53, oakland 56 right now. san jose has been mild all morning. this time we're looking from walnut creek. notice it's a bit hazy out there. we'll see some hazy conditions from the contra costa county fires and the north bay, santa rosa currently 52, napa 56. novato 54, vacaville concord. the sea breeze will keep things cool in half moon bay. san francisco only 63, which is a few degrees behow normal, and then look for low 80s through

santa rosa, napa, but then 100 degrees. around the bay comfortable, 60s through oakland, san mateo, 77 in fremont, and then our warmest spots will be 94 degrees, san jose 80 degrees. if you're headed to the beach, i would definitely bring a jacket. the sea breeze will make things feel even cooler. again, ocean beach, santa cruz with a bit more sunshine, 74 degrees and high uv index. and folks headed to the sonoma raceway can head in t-shirts and shorts, by the afternoon we'll be warming up to the low 80s. plenty of sunshine overnight lows, across the golden gate bridge. most temperatures will drop down into the 50s. and in antioch in the 60s there, and also in san jose. here's the accuweather, cool temperatures at the coast, upper

pushing the clouds in. it's all across parts of the north bay, even into the east bay and in the south bay right now. we've been reporting on all these devastating fires. there is at warning currently if effect. very low humidity and very high daytime temperatures. this entire area is until a heat advisory. current conditions in redding, it's only 75 degrees. overnight lows only drop into the 70s. winds are light, but gusts at 4 miles an hour. they will pick up to 30 miles an hour. basically bad news for firefighters and residents in the redding area. it will be hot and dry all week. scorching temperatures. today the high is expected to hit 110, and then above triple digits all through the week. 102 the coolest by friday. also, in addition to that, there's a large part of the
