live where you live, this is abc 7 news. >> yeah, mass confusion and nobody is telling us anything. fire and eevacuation, there's a new concern now, looters. good evening, thank you for joining us. >> the complex fire is continuing to grow, the ranch fire and the river fire have burned more than 80,000 acres. and are now ten and 12% contained respectively. the evacuation orders were lifted in lake county. abc 7 news reporter is live with the latest, kate. >> reporter: well, we are on main street in kelseyville, the downtown area and the evacuation reco orders have been lifted here, but it's still quiet. here are some of the first cars that were returning. many people telling us that they

evacuated sunday or monday night and were waiting to come back home fortunately, many people came back to their homes because the fire did not reach the town, i spoke to the chp lieutenant that works here, he said after dealing with so many fires the past several years that himself and many of the people who live here are exhausted and stressed after dealing with eevacuation and fire concerns so many times. he spoke with a man that lives on the border of kelseyville and lake port, evacuated and returned monday to get trapped on his monday while he tried to put out hot spots. >> i had flames to the left and flames to the right. and i felt like i could be surrounded b eed by flames so i out -- so i got out of there. >> it could have taken us out. thank god for the firefighters and the resources they gave us. >> reporter: despite the flame

and the ash and the air and the clear danger of the fire being so close, many people returning home tonight told me that more than the fire, they were worried about looters. they had packed their cars with as much stuff as they could fit in, there but they were returning home worried that somebody may have broken in and stolen stuff from their homes. so, a lot of anxiety here still in kelseyville, even though much of the town is able to come back home tonight. however, many of the roads on the outskirts of town are still closed down because of fire dangers. so, law enforcement and firefighters are saying that it's still super important for everyone to still heed warnings. live, abc 7 news. >> absolutely great advice. kate, thank you very much on the subject of looters the lake county authorities took five people in to custody accused of being unauthorized in the complex fire. two of them have been previously warned to stay out of the area.

area of concern is inland east bay and the north bay, where we will see the smoke develop again tomorrow afternoon. you saw it today. a minor temperature swing in to the weekend t weekend shaping up to be nice, cooler inland than we were today. i do want to give you an update on the current conditions on the fires in mendocino and lake county. temperatures mild, a relative humidity is on the rise, good news. but it's still windy and a north northwesterly wind gusting to 18. and that wind will continue out of the north and northwest gusting as high as 20 miles an hour. and once again, the wind direction will send the smoke in to parts of the bay area tomorrow. so, that is the reason why we have the moderate air quality for the north bay and inland. we are had in the 50s, so we are cooling down. 54 in san francisco, and we are on the mild side, checking in with 71 degrees. the fog along the coast, and perhaps coastal drizzle, and

patchy fog in and around the bay shoreline most spots had drop in to the 50s -- spots will drop in to the 50s. overnight, you need the light jacket and the early sunrise at 6:30. the big take away. it's breezy again and we are tracking the hazy sky. a wide range of temperatures on the wednesday afternoon. highs in the south bay, with afternoon sunshine, much warmer. and 80 the high. the peninsula, it's breezy on the coast and much warmer in palo alto. 78 the high. downtown san francisco, it will be breezy and cool, 63 tomorrow afternoon, cooler in daly city and to the north bay, we are tracking the smoke moving through, some haze. 68 in vallejo, and 81 in san rafel, and inland, we are warm in the upper 80s to 90s.
